00:00Mr Speaker, whilst in the Gulf, I met leaders and senior military representatives across

00:06the region, including the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, the President of the UAE, the

00:12King and Crown Prince of Bahrain, the Amir and Prime Minister of Qatar, and in recent

00:18days I have also spoken to the Sultan of Oman and the Emir of Kuwait.

00:22Across all of these conversations, I agreed to deepen our engagement on both defence

00:30and economic resilience, because, Mr Speaker, they all made it abundantly clear that the

00:37solidarity and strength of our partnership with them has been a comfort in these challenging

00:43times.
