00:17bhosle has passed away and of course when there's somebody like this, when somebody is passing away, when someone's passed
00:26on you feel very sad.
00:27But when a legend who has touched the heart and soul of every single Indian for generations, for 80 years
00:38or 90 years or however long she was singing, each and every one of us grew up and know those
00:45songs.
00:45So I'm not only crying for Asha ji who has left us today, but I'm crying for myself. A little
00:52part of my childhood, of my life is gone.
00:55When my mum passed away, a little part of me went away. When my dad passed away, a whole lot
01:02of my part went away. Even every time a person that you've grown up with, who've raised you, who've been
01:08with you, leaves you, a part of you goes with them.
01:11And today with Asha ji's passing, I'm feeling that very feeling, those songs that I grew up.
01:18O mere sonare, sonare, do lafzon ki hai, dil ki kahaani, dam mar dam.
01:29Every time I felt sad or I felt happy, I always sing. And those songs are yours, Asha ji. So
01:37stay, rest in peace, stay blessed in the Divine's arms until we meet again.
