Mark Kerr wins a lot. Then he loses the one thing that was supposed to define his life: the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. So he jumps into Mixed Martial Arts, and he’s not just good. He’s overpowered in a way that makes event organizers sweat. His fights end too fast, which means no time for the sponsor-y bits, and suddenly someone is banning parts of his game. One of the big ones? The headbutt. It sounds like a fair fix, until you notice what this kind of dominance does to a body. The grind turns into constant strain, and painkillers become necessary just to get through regular days. The real danger starts looking less like an opponent and more like Kerr’s own addiction, plus the strain on his marriage with Dawn.
