00:00PSG have been called unsportsmanlike for getting their game pulled off this weekend.
00:04Here's the background. PSG were due to play Lenz on Saturday but they put in a request to postpone
00:09the game so they can have the weekend to rest. It gives the PSG players a break between the first
00:14and second legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Liverpool. But here's the
00:19problem. Their opponent, Lenz, wanted to play the game as scheduled. Instead Lenz will have to wait
00:24until May the 13th to play that rescheduled game and because they're not in European competition,
00:29they now have a run of 15 days without a game. In fact Lenz have released a statement calling
00:35PSG's request unsportsmanlike. So why did the league on board approve the change?
00:41For the French league PSG are the big continental force and their success in Europe has a massive
00:46impact on the country's UEFA coefficient. The logic is that a well-rested PSG might get further in this
00:52year's competition earning more coefficient points and getting more qualification places for French
00:57teams in future. So the French authorities might say that they are just looking to help the league
01:02grow but it comes at the expense of Lenz as they look to mount a real title challenge against PSG.
