After a scandal that clearly did not end politely, a Hollywood starlet tries the classic solution: hide out in a remote Airbnb and pretend the world forgot. Spoiler. It turns into the kind of quiet that only exists right before things get ugly. Because the place is not empty. “Mercy” is also not on the menu. When hard criminals arrive, they don’t care what you did yesterday. They only care about their move, their timing, and the fact that your safety is now negotiable. The movie leans hard into betrayal and survival, with the tension coming less from twists and more from the slow realization that you’ve trusted the wrong people, on the wrong night, in the wrong cabin. Rotten Tomatoes is not impressed. Neither should you ignore it.

Nach einem Skandal, der genug Schlagzeilen gekostet hat, um als Karriere-Relaunch durchzugehen, sucht sich eine Hollywood-Starlet eine ruhige Ecke. Also ab ins abgelegene Airbnb, Tür zu, Hoffnung an. Leider ist das hier nicht das Setting für „endlich mal durchatmen“. In der Idylle klopfen dann die Falschen. Harte, dreckige Kriminelle, die nicht lange fragen, sondern planen. Und plötzlich ist Vertrauen keine Währung mehr, sondern ein Risiko. Der Film macht aus dieser Prämisse keinen großen Ausweg-Gag, sondern Survival mit kaltem Blick. Du merkst schnell: Wer sich auf die Gnade von Leuten verlässt, die gerade einen Coup wittern, wird ziemlich sicher nichts als Dank bekommen.
