00:00...and abolish the EV mandate at the federal level, we abolished it,
00:05which is basically that everybody would be driving an electric car within a very short period of time.
00:11Now I know why Elon doesn't like me so much, which he does, actually, he does.
00:17And he never had a problem. You know, it's very interesting, this is not something new.
00:21This has been there from day one, Speaker, right?
00:23We're going to abolish the EV mandate, and Elon still endorsed me,
00:29because, honestly, he never, ever spoke to me about that.
00:32And I used to say, I'm amazed that he's endorsing me because that can't be good for him.
00:37I'm abolishing the EV mandate.
00:40And I once asked him about it. You never talked to me about that.
00:43He said, well, as long as it's happening to everybody, I'll be able to compete.
00:47It was a very interesting answer. I thought it was a very honest answer, to be honest with you.
00:51And I talked about it, that, incredible, you know, you would have thought he would have been,
00:56from day one, you got to make sure you don't do the EV mandate, the abolishing.
01:01And never did. Very honest in that sense.
01:04And he did say to me, I actually asked him because it was, like, really strange how I'm with him.
01:09He's very, you know, a friend of mine.
01:11And he makes electric cars.
01:14And we're saying, you're not going to be able to make electric cars,
01:16or you're not going to be forced to make all of those cars.
01:19You can make them, but it'll be by the market, judged by the market.
01:23And that's what he said. He said, as long as I'm on the same plane as everybody else,
01:27we're going to do good. We make a better product.
01:29Like, I said,
