00:00Jeremy Alan White, being Bruce Springsteen,
00:04what can be the significance for an actor, and for you especially?
00:13I think for me it was an opportunity to play such a great sort of observer.
00:23I'm thinking of Bruce in that term because of your prior question,
00:26but I started thinking about musicians in the sense of they critique our times,
00:31they journal our times, you go back in time,
00:33you see how they're understanding our culture and our society in different periods of time.
00:38And I think as an actor it's our job to remain very curious,
00:43to observe environments, time periods, people, and all of these things.
00:48And I think that's really, especially in this story with Bruce,
00:53is he's searching for inspiration, he's trying to make something he's unsure of,
00:59he's trying to do it with honesty, even if he's not totally understanding the purpose,
01:05and then he's trying to understand himself and the world around him.
01:10And I think what a just purpose, what an interesting purpose.
01:14And I find that if you can do it well to be the purpose of an actor,
01:19you're sort of asking questions of our society, of our culture, of our times.
01:27So you know.
