00:00Ok, I'm not used to press conference or to talking like that, so I'm just going to try and go
00:06step by step on what happened to the night yesterday.
00:11Thank you all for being here. I was actually on guard. My night watch was from 1.30 to 3
00:19.30.
00:19We all rotate night watches here to keep an eye on everything. And then we heard about two vessels unidentified
00:28in the fertility lab, like they were close to our boat and everything.
00:32So we began our protocol for preparing for an attack or an interception or someone coming to us, we don't
00:40know.
00:40And then we were on high alert for quite a while. Everybody in position. This means we put on our
00:48left jackets and stay in position and keep watching, keep watching the sky, keep watching the sea to check for
00:54boats approaching.
00:55And then we heard and we saw that the boats were going far away. They left. So we decreased our
01:02alert levels and everybody went back to resting or started to move.
01:07And then it's when we found out that the campers from Alma were gone. And that for us is someone
01:14messing with our communication. That means they are probably close.
01:18So we put the high alert back again. Then everybody assumed positions. And like, on the moment we went outside,
01:28I could already see their boats coming straight to us.
01:32And we are used to the vessels of the flotilla. They are quite slow, but these boats were really fast.
01:39And as Tiago was saying, they came in the front of all of Sirius. And yeah, it was like a
01:46big mess, but it didn't hit our boat, but it came really close.
01:50And then they were circling Sirius boat, they did this, and they jammed our communications, we didn't have any internet
02:01or the cameras anymore.
02:03And it went on for like 15, a little more minutes.
02:10And the people on the starboard side of Sirius, which is, if you're inside the boat, facing to the front,
02:18it isn't right.
02:19So a light coming from, from the water, like from the dark, from down under the water, so probably as
02:29a marine or something to my back, I was on the other side, so we didn't see this side of
02:34the boat and the light coming from down the water.
02:38And this went on for quite a while. We could see them up in the boat with something pointing at
02:46the sky. Some people were a little bit scared about that also.
02:50And we were like, with our hands up, and we were like, trying to pull my fingers really apart from
02:56each other, like to show that I have nothing in my hands.
02:59And this is also our protocol, to show that we are a non-violent mission, trying to carry humanitarian aid
03:06to restaging people. That's what we are doing.
03:08And it's important to us to show it to them, and to show it to the world watching, that that's
03:16what we are doing.
03:17So we have some positions, things like that.
03:22For me, I felt like everybody was like, we do those drills so much, that everybody was really knowing what
03:29to do and how to behave.
