“Kuberaa” is basically a morality test dressed up as a wealth fantasy. One minute a beggar is just trying to survive, the next minute something clicks and the whole story turns into a high-speed lesson on greed. The film keeps throwing moral dilemmas at the characters like they’re cheap projectiles. You can almost hear the inner justification building. Then ambition shows up, shakes the hand, and steals the wallet.
What’s interesting is the tone: it doesn’t pretend the pursuit of money is glamorous. It shows the consequences, including the version of “redemption” that only arrives after you’ve dug yourself a deeper hole.
2025 from India. Expect transformation, bad choices, and the uncomfortable feeling that the number in your bank app might not be the real goal.

„Kuberaa“ nimmt sich eine wirklich unappetitliche Frage vor: Was passiert, wenn aus Hunger nach Geld plötzlich Hunger nach Macht wird? Ein Bettler erlebt eine Verwandlung, die so rasant ist wie die Moral am Anfang daneben. Erst wirkt es wie Aufstiegsspaß. Dann kommen die kleinen moralischen „Entscheidungen“ dran, die man sich sonst nur im Kopf ausmalt. Gier ist hier kein abstraktes Thema, sondern ein Motor mit quietschenden Bremsen. Ambition zieht die Fäden, und plötzlich merkt man: Erlösung ist nicht das Gegenteil von Gier. Sie ist die Rechnung dafür.
2025 aus Indien. Klingt nach Drama, ist aber eher so ein skrupelloser Spiegel fürs eigene „nur noch kurz“-Denken.
