Almost three decades after the Rage virus escaped a bioweapons lab, quarantine is still treated like a holy law. Surprisingly, some people learned how to live alongside the infected instead of just panicking forever. They’re holed up on a small island, connected to the mainland by a single, heavily guarded dam. Of course one of them eventually decides that “island life” is just a longer way to die.

So he goes out on a mission into the dark mainland to look for something. What he finds is a mix of secrets, weird hopes, and straight-up horrors. The most annoying twist? The mutations aren’t limited to the infected. The survivors have changed too, which makes the whole “we survived” thing feel a lot less comforting. Fast drei Jahrzehnte nach dem Ausbruch des Rage-Virus hängt noch immer alles an Quarantäne. Nicht “fast”, wirklich.
