Sara is a former special-forces soldier, and her kid disappears inside the US consulate in Frankfurt. Naturally, she does what anyone with training and anger management issues would do. She searches. Except the staff acts like her son never entered the building. Not “we don’t know”. More like “are you sure you’re not confusing offices?” Then comes the push: Sara is told to leave, right now. The catch. If she walks out, she likely never gets back in. And since German authorities can’t just stroll into US territory, she has to stay where the answers are not supposed to be. So she slips deeper into the consulate’s maze and finds a web of lies and quiet interference that escalates fast. It’s less spy fantasy, more pressure-cooker conspiracy.

Sara, Ex-Special-Forces-Soldatin, sucht im US-Konsulat in Frankfurt nach ihrem Sohn, der einfach weg ist. Klingt erst mal nach “Suchen, finden, raus”. Problem nur: Niemand erinnert sich daran, dass der Kleine überhaupt das Gebäude betreten hat. Und als wäre das nicht schon genug, wird Sara freundlich aufgefordert zu gehen. Nur blöd, dass “gehen” hier vermutlich bedeutet, dass sie das Konsulat nie wieder betreten darf. Also bleibt sie. Und statt sauberer Ermittlungen bekommt man ein Labyrinth aus Türen, Gerüchten und Leuten, die so tun, als wüssten sie von nichts. Sie gräbt sich durch Lügen und Intrigen, bis aus dem Suchauftrag ein richtig gefährlicher Trip wird. Exterritorial ist ziemlich unhöflich zum Zuschauer. Zum Glück.
