Seoul is going off the rails because a satanic crime network has decided “normal life” is optional. So the police do what they always do when paperwork fails. They call in “Holy Night” and hope the weirdos can fix what training manuals can’t. The crew is three-person chaos: Ba Woo, Exorcist Sharon, and Kim-kun. Then Jung-won, a psychiatrist, shows up with a personal disaster. Her sister Eun-seo is possessed, and whatever’s in her doesn’t feel like the usual spooky stuff. It’s bigger, meaner, and completely uninterested in being handled politely.

If you like occult action that goes straight for the punches and doesn’t stop to explain its own mythology, this one’s for you. Also, the ratings are a mess. Rotten Tomatoes seems to have more patience than IMDB.

Seoul hat ein Satanisten-Problem. Nicht so ein „vielleicht“ zu Halloween, sondern so richtig. Als die Polizei nicht weiterkommt, ruft sie „Holy Night“ an. Und ja, das klingt nach religiösem Branding, aber darunter steckt ein kleines Team aus Dämonenjägern: Ba Woo, Exorzistin Sharon und ihr Assistent Kim-kun. Der Fall eskaliert, als Psychiaterin Jung-won um Hilfe für ihre besessene Schwester Eun-seo bittet. Ab da wird es weniger „Spuk, den man erklärt“ und mehr „Ding, das keine Regeln kennt“. Der Film macht das, was gutes Occult-Actionkino soll: Geschwindigkeit, Chaos und genug Dämonen-Verrücktheit, um die Logik kurz parken zu lassen. IMDB findet ihn mittel. Rotten Tomatoes dagegen ziemlich überraschend gut.
