2023, irgendwo bei der Titanic. Und mitten im Traum von „bisschen tiefer, bisschen größer“ macht das Touristen-U-Boot „Titan“ plötzlich das, wofür es niemand eine Bedienungsanleitung beilegen konnte: Es implodiert. Diese Doku nimmt nicht nur den Horror unter Wasser mit, sondern auch die kurze, unangenehme Frage, wie so ein Experiment überhaupt abheben durfte. Wir sehen den Weg von der Vision bis zur Katastrophe. Keine großen Mystery-Wolken. Eher das Gefühl, dass hier zu lange an Wünschen geglaubt wurde und zu wenig an Physik.

Wenn du Dokus magst, die an Ambition sägen, statt sie zu feiern, ist „Titan: Die OceanGate-Katastrophe“ genau dein Ding. Und ja. Das ist genauso erschreckend wie es klingt.
