00:00Welcome to the Benzone. This is the Bloodhound season 1 recap. The season starts off with a
00:05shady loan shark named Kim, investing 100 million won in a hotel that would be run by director Hong.
00:10Elsewhere, in the final round of a boxing tournament, a young cocky fighter named Woo Jin
00:15gets his ass body checked by another young fighter named Gung Woo before losing the fight.
00:19Afterwards, they both begin forming a very close friendship over their time as marines and as
00:23boxers. Because of the death that so many business owners face, Gung Woo's mother signs a contract
00:29from Kim's men with interest payments that would be impossible for her to pay back. Sometime
00:34afterward, Gung Woo plans to hang out with Woo Jin but gets sidetracked when he tries to be a good
00:38samaritan and fails. And the reason I say he fails is because the woman he was chasing, Hyun Joo,
00:43works for a good money lender, if there's such a thing, named Mr. Choi who has a heart of gold.
00:48Later, Kim's thugs come to collect on those interest loans but because she can't pay,
00:52they distort her cafe until Gung Woo comes to her rescue. Or so we think because all the while,
00:57Gung Woo is a gifted boxer, taking down multiple men is something you only see in the world of
01:01fiction. One such man proved to be too much for the young fighter because that huge bodyguard,
01:06Bi-om, beat the living dog shit out of Gung Woo before Kim gives him a huge scar on his
01:11right
01:11cheek for refusing to join him. A day later, Woo Jin decides to help Gung Woo by taking him to
01:16see a
01:16buddy of his that can help loan him money in exchange for being a bloodhound. But Gung Woo refuses
01:21out of principle. But Gung Woo does manage to find himself in the presence of Mr. Choi who wants to
01:26hire Gung Woo as a bodyguard for Hyun Joo. Kim meets with Hong's cousin Gang Yong who is a cop
01:31and
01:31after a weird drinking session, Hong threatens to kill Kim if he ever messes with his family.
01:36Meanwhile, Mr. Choi agrees to have Woo Jin accompany Gung Woo but only if they can convince Hyun first.
01:41Which is not an easy task until Gung Woo pathetically grovels at her feet. Hyun obviously works with
01:46them and she explains that what they are going to do is to find how many IDs these goons steal
01:51from
01:51homeless people to create these shell companies. Because Gung Woo likes to be the hero, he screws
01:56up Hyun's plans and therefore she doesn't want to work with him anymore. But we all know that's not
02:00going to last. One of the goons named Yang found out about the gang's place of operations because the
02:05loan he received a while ago was given to him by Mr. Choi. Kim, that conniving snake, wants the hotel
02:11he
02:11helped pay for to be monitored for illegal gambling activity that he will manufacture so that when the
02:17illegal operation is exposed and the hotel is ruined he can take the hotel for himself.
02:21Hong made a big mistake by threatening Kim because eventually he is caught and trapped in a car wash
02:26where he's publicly humiliated while it's being recorded. A flashback then shows that Kim used to
02:31work for Mr. Choi and after Mr. Choi announced that he was closing his business, Kim robbed them that
02:36night crippling him in the process. But back to the present, after their favorite eating establishment
02:40gets destroyed, the gang agrees to get Yang by themselves. But it was a stupid mistake because they get set
02:45up
02:46to be jumped. Even though all three warriors survived getting jumped because one of the goons recognizes
02:50Gung-woo, he orchestrates to have Gung-woo's mother be kidnapped but she is randomly saved by a mysterious
02:55badass. And it turns out this mysterious badass is named Hwang who works for Mr. Choi and Mr. Choi has
03:01decided to end things with the help of his most dangerous knifers. The gang is later tasked with
03:06moving Mr. Choi's money from the bookstore but after splitting up, Hyun gets kidnapped and the boys fight
03:11Biyom. Biyom is systematically getting his ass handed to him while Hyun fights to escape.
03:16Gung-woo who's had enough and switch turns on him where he beats the ever living hell out of Biyom
03:21to the point where if Wonju didn't stop him, Gung-woo would have killed Biyom. Our heroes then manage to
03:26collect all of Mr. Choi's money in the vehicle and not that long after a big car chase ensues involving
03:32Kim's men. The gang survives the ordeal because they have to leave large amount of Mr. Choi's money
03:37behind to escape with their lives. Not long after though, the gang trains with Hwang and Lee
03:42in preparation for the fight ahead. The corrupt cop Jang-do is kidnapped from the hospital by the gang
03:48and brought to their highlight to be tortured. Mr. Choi arrives and manipulates Jang-do into telling
03:53him everything he knows about Kim. With Jang-do gone, Kim turns Gang-yong to help him find Lee
03:59because if he doesn't, the embarrassing video of Hong will be publicly exposed. In another flashback,
04:04it shows Mr. Choi attending Hwang's father's funeral where he took his own life after his
04:10sick Hwang was recovering and Cho learns that Kim was assaulting people he had loaned money to.
04:16So not only is Choi taking care of Hwang out of guilt but that's also the reason why he closed
04:21his
04:21business since other people have committed suicide because of Kim and Mr. Choi feels personally
04:26responsible. After Gang-yong delivers information he gathered to Kim, Kim's men go to the hideout first
04:31but find nothing there. Until one of his goons finds out where Lee lives and they all go to Lee's
04:36apartment breaking in. Unfortunately the numbers are too great and Lee gets beat to a bloody pulp
04:42before Kim enters the picture forcing him to tell him where Hwang lives. Kim locates Hwang and they
04:47both begin fighting but Kim came prepared so he already had an unfair advantage to kill Hwang. Then Kim's
04:52goon locates and storm Mr. Choi's home attacking both men but the situation looks too dire for both of
04:58them. Unfortunately Woojin dies at the hands of a worthless thug and Mr. Choi gets killed by Kim.
05:04Damn! Hyun and Gang-woo return to find Mr. Choi's home burning but I guess I spoke too soon because
05:09Gang-woo finds Woojin still alive just by a thread. So Gang-woo takes Woojin to the hospital to save
05:15him
05:15where he compels the nurse to continue to take his blood to give Woojin even if it kills him. And
05:20your
05:20boy Woojin survives and both men train together sometime afterward because they both plan to take down Kim.
05:26With the help of all the people that Kim has screwed over. But that's easier said than done until the
05:31boys run into Yang who basically exposes everything that's going on with Kim when the boys interrogate
05:36him. Hwang's abuse continues at the hands of Kim where he threatens to release the video of Hwang if
05:41Hwang doesn't sign the contract on Friday. It's pretty sad actually. Much later the boys meet with Hwang and
05:47his team where they plan on getting access to Kim's files by hacking his phone before destroying the
05:51hard drive in Friday's contract signing. The day of the contract signing is where things are off to a bad
05:56start. Before the understand to be scared Hwang musters up enough courage to stand up to Kim
06:01and do what needs to be done. While it seemed like everything worked out okay and all that as well
06:05ends okay until Kim finds out that the contents of his safe have been destroyed. This prompts Kim to
06:11phone Jae Min who happens to work with Gang-yong in the police department and dang you can't trust
06:16anybody in this show. Moon an ex-marine teams up with the boys and Mr. O's granddaughter Da Min so
06:22they can
06:22go rescue Mr. O who's an associate of Mr. Choi who was kidnapped by Kim's bitch ass. A fight ensues
06:28where
06:28Biyom and Gun-woo have a rematch but it's unfair as Gun-woo whoops his ass clean. Because of that
06:34punk
06:34Jae Min all those who were involved in Friday's operations were taken care of if you know what
06:38I mean so Gun-woo and Woo-jin decide to go after Mr. O alone with Da Min's help of
06:43course. Kim the
06:44sleazeball gains the upper hand in the fight by threatening to kill Mr. O until Da Min comes in and
06:49turns the table for our heroes to rescue Mr. O. But Kim escapes like the slimy snake he is.
06:54It turns out that Gang-yong was not killed and he sent out the entire police force to arrest Kim's
06:59associates in a satisfying climax. With Kim on the run the gang needs to find him so with the help
07:05of
07:05Yang god this guy is so useful they manipulate Jang-do into reaching out to the boys but he will
07:11not
07:11help unless he is paid 1 billion won. The information Jang-do provides leads the boys to a vessel where
07:18upon it
07:18they get to the huge fight with Kim and beyond. The boys beat Da Min and recover Mr. Choi's gold
07:23but Gong-woo doesn't like the fact that he is now a bloodhound. The season ends with Hong's
07:27bitch ass recovering the embarrassing video of himself and setting up a welfare foundation to
07:32give medical attention to those that cannot afford it in honor of Mr. Choi. And guys that is the season
