As part of the Pakistan NextGen Hospitality Challenge (PNHC) 2026 – Season 2, students from the Tourist Destination Management category embarked on an educational and immersive visit to the historic Walled City of Lahore. The tour provided participants with a unique opportunity to experience Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and understand the practical aspects of destination management.
During the visit, students explored iconic landmarks such as the majestic Lahore Fort, the magnificent Badshahi Mosque, the vibrant Delhi Gate, and the beautifully restored Shahi Hammam. The experience offered valuable insights into heritage conservation, sustainable tourism, visitor management, and the socio-economic impact of tourism on local communities.
Organized under the visionary leadership of Ahmad Shafiq, Founder, President & CEO of COTHM Global, the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world exposure. The visit enabled aspiring tourism professionals to observe best practices in heritage preservation and destination marketing, inspiring them to contribute to the sustainable development of Pakistan’s tourism sector.
