00:00There were tons of moments when I was younger where I would cry.
00:02Everyone tells me it's not realistic.
00:04At the end of the day, I just loved it.
00:05I loved making videos, I loved entertaining people.
00:08All four or five that watched it back then.
00:12With 99,000 subscribers, I'll put 400 million.
00:15We're going to see if the highest jumper in the world
00:17can jump higher than a tiger.
00:18World of record!
00:19Can he do it?
00:24You're levitating!
00:25My schedule is literally playing down to a minute.
00:27I got to get there and go and do the next thing,
00:28and the next thing, and the next thing, and the next thing,
00:30and the next thing.
00:30We're on set of one of Jimmy's most expensive videos.
00:33He's giving away this private jet that's worth over $2 million.
00:37If he goes another 100 days, I'll give him half a million dollars.
00:40No.
00:41Are you doing another 100 days,
00:42or do you want to go hang out with your family?
00:45It was a miracle if a day was less than 15 hours.
00:48Jimmy is already sprinting to his next video.
00:51You are Freeman!
00:52We're in a thumbnail shoot.
00:54They're spending hours getting everything set up.
00:56How much money do you think all the gear here is worth?
00:59It's definitely worth $5 million.
01:00How many cameras have you used on a shoot?
01:02We were at about 350 individual cameras.
01:05Welcome to Survivor! Welcome to Fiji!
01:08Jeff's been doing Survivor as long as I've been alive.
01:10They've taken this genre and just...
01:14Steroid.
01:15When he's like finally a break.
01:17His eyes have been shut for like 30 seconds.
01:19He's like taking a nap.
01:34We're going to hit 400 million soon, Jon.
01:36We're 99,000 subscribers off of 400 million.
01:39Did you already tweet or...?
01:40Yeah, tell me what you think of that.
01:42A decade ago before I blew up, everyone in my life told me I was too obsessed.
01:45I literally told my mom I'd rather be homeless than do anything else.
01:49When I first said I wanted to be a YouTuber, you know, we'd make $20,000 in a month.
01:53And the next month I'd be like, well, we're going to spend $20,000 on videos.
01:56My mom, um, she would cry.
01:59We had so many conversations where she would literally bawl her eyes out crying.
02:02And I didn't realize it at the time, but my mom lost everything in 2008 because they were over leveraged.
02:06The worst financial crisis in modern times.
02:10Rolling home prices rising unemployment.
02:12This was a very bad day.
02:14It's official. We are in a recession.
02:15It's like her PTSD kicking in and she didn't want me to go bankrupt.
02:19Those thoughts never even once crossed my mind.
02:21Like, why would I set money aside to do like other YouTube videos?
02:24And she's like, no, so you don't go bankrupt like I did.
02:27Even to the point where one time she actually took $100,000 and hid it from me in a different
02:32account in my name.
02:33She didn't steal the money because she was like, that way at least if Jimmy goes bankrupt,
02:36he has $100,000 and he's not like homeless.
02:39Don't you owe a lot of money in your house?
02:40Yes, so I wanted to give you a check that of you pay for it.
02:44No, I can't, I can't take it. I swear I cannot take it.
02:48So you use me for views and I get to pay off my mortgage?
02:51Mm-hmm. I think it works out pretty well.
02:53What an entrepreneur.
02:57She was just like, I'm going to stop like crying and doubting you.
03:00And like, if you want to reinvest and go hard, go for it.
03:03She's going to get all emotional.
03:06Yeah.
03:08I met Jimmy when I think we were both about eight years old.
03:12Who is Tyler Conklin?
03:14We played baseball together in Little League.
03:17He probably told you that he hit a home run off me.
03:19Uh, okay.
03:20Well, never mind.
03:20Delete that footage.
03:21Uh, in Little League.
03:23I'm kidding.
03:23Put that in whoever's editing.
03:25But put it in the part where I told you to delete it because it'll be funny.
03:26But, uh, yeah, in 11, we played Little League.
03:29Then he ended up coming to my school.
03:31As I started doing videos, I started doing like these videos where we copied Dude Perfect.
03:35And eventually, as I started scaling up, I didn't know how to hire.
03:39So what did I do?
03:40I called all my friends from high school and I'm like, yo, you want to help me make videos?
03:44And Tyler's one of the people I called.
03:45And he started off as like kind of a janitor cleaning for like, whatever, eight bucks an
03:49hour when I first started, him and Chandler, which is funny.
03:52My two janitors, one is now my lead director that writes everything.
03:55And the other is one of my co-hosts, Chandler.
03:57So I did a good job at hiring janitors back in that day.
04:00There were people in my grade that would put on his YouTube videos and they would laugh at
04:04him and be like, look at this awkward dude filming something.
04:07Because kids are kind of mean and no one was sitting next to him.
04:09He would go play catch and no one would want to play catch with him.
04:12He was very socially awkward.
04:13It's hard to remember, but being a YouTuber was weird back then.
04:16Good times.
04:17By good times, I mean horrible times.
04:19Yeah, it was so cringe.
04:20I hate it.
04:21I just felt like an outcast.
04:23There were tons of moments when I was younger where I would cry.
04:25But I even had a video where I was like, I think I should probably quit YouTube.
04:28Everyone tells me it's not realistic.
04:30No one understands.
04:31But at the end of the day, I just loved it.
04:34And I loved making videos.
04:35I loved entertaining people.
04:36All four or five that watched it back then.
04:39About $10,000.
04:40Every one of these 456 people survives the longest, wins $456,000.
04:45I recreated Willy Wonka's taco factory in real life.
04:49We just hit 100 million subscribers.
04:51It's $1,000,000.
04:52And now I literally right now have to go give away $5,000,000.
04:56I'll see you there.
04:57And competing for this money are 100 of the strongest people on the planet.
05:02Versus 100 of the smartest people on earth.
05:05When Beast Games first started, the thought of doing something on television was cool.
05:08Like in season one, we are about to play Captain Broad.
05:13If you walked away a millionaire, it would change your life dramatically.
05:16I was like, I want to see that through.
05:18Let's do that.
05:19This is the most important day of our entire season.
05:22This is the make or break as to whether somebody watches our whole show or leaves after episode three.
05:28Turn on the lights.
05:30We're about to play Captain Broad.
05:32People love what we do on YouTube.
05:34So we want to do it bigger.
05:35We want to do it different because it's six hours of content, not a normal 30-minute video.
05:37But there are still some intrinsic things about our YouTube videos people love.
05:40Here we go.
05:41Start the money counter.
05:43Let's see if any of them take a bribe.
05:45Our goal was to stick to our roots.
05:47And our roots is virality.
05:49Doing the biggest and best.
05:50Just say no to bribes.
05:52You got this, Hannah.
05:53That's a lot of money.
05:54Speeding up.
05:55Here we go.
05:56Your word, your heart is not for sale.
06:02He took it.
06:08Everyone's coming down from the tower and that has to be one of the most awkward rides down because
06:13JT is there and screwed over his team, took the $1 million bribe.
06:18These games doesn't compare to any traditional kind of TV shows and we built it from the ground up.
06:24A record-breaking number of a thousand players is currently stampeding this arena.
06:29Season one was something new for everyone.
06:32The first conversation was Jimmy called me and he said,
06:34I want to film a show with a lot of people and a lot of money.
06:38Maybe it's like 10 episodes and each episode is super different.
06:42But he was referring to it being on a YouTube video.
06:44And then it turned into a TV show.
06:46And shout out to Mike Cruz.
06:48He had a lot of ins with television people.
06:51Me and Mike flew to LA and started pitching.
06:55And that was when it was scary because one day I'm going to wake up,
06:58I'm going to walk on a set that's a television set.
07:02Very different than YouTube.
07:03And I'm going to have to find a way to get this done.
07:06And the beauty for us with Beast Games is we have a YouTube channel.
07:09And so I can do a game for $200,000 in one of my YouTube videos.
07:13And if it goes well and people really like it,
07:15then now I can feel more confident when I spend, you know,
07:18sometimes $10 million building a set on Beast Games,
07:21that the viewers will like it.
07:22This is level four.
07:25An example of this would be we had this video
07:27where we built an obstacle course over water
07:29with spinny things and bouncy balls.
07:31And one of my friends named Mac had to go through it to win $800,000.
07:34You built this in two weeks.
07:37One person competed on it and then you're going to tear it down.
07:41Absolutely.
07:41And then traditional TV,
07:43they'll run like 20 seasons on one set.
07:46Not us. That would be boring.
07:47Who wants to watch the same thing over and over again?
07:50Not me.
07:50I want to see a unique video every week.
07:52And people really, really loved it.
07:54The retention was really good by YouTube standards.
07:57So on episode three of Beast Games season two,
08:00we brought back an obstacle course, made it bigger.
08:03It's also over water, this obstacle course.
08:05And instead of one contestant, we had dozens of contestants,
08:08did tons of different games, the lighting, the coverage,
08:09everything was just way cooler. We had a way more expensive set.
08:12Back in the day, we recreated Squid Games.
08:14And ever since then, our sets have been getting bigger and bigger on YouTube.
08:17So we got a lot of reps under our belts of like,
08:19how do you structure the sets in a way where they feel realistic?
08:22You know, like the hallway they walk into, the shot selection,
08:25like even little things like cutting little holes for the cameras to shoot through.
08:28What height, what angles do you want?
08:29All these things we've field tested so many dozens of times on our YouTube channel,
08:33that now when we do the same thing, but way bigger on Beast Games,
08:36it's just not as scary because we've done it so much.
08:38You don't just go from never building anything to building massive cities like we do on Beast Games.
08:43And we got that confidence because we were able to do it on YouTube first.
08:46How do you manage your time between YouTube and Beast Games?
08:49It was a miracle if a day was less than 15 hours from me.
08:51My schedule is literally planned down to a minute.
08:54Everything has to be perfect because I just don't, you know,
08:56have much time I got to get there and go,
08:58and then I got to go do the next thing and the next thing and the next thing and the
09:00next thing.
09:01For example, our thumbnails, like our grid system that we lay out on the floor,
09:04we have stand-ins practice the photos before me.
09:06So in a couple of weeks, we have obstacle video coming out.
09:10This is one of our concepts for it, but we're shooting with Jimmy's body doubles.
09:14Doing our best we can to replicate the concept.
09:16My face gets edited out anyways, but I try to like get into it like I'm actually falling.
09:21I think that kind of helps with the product.
09:23I'm here 9 to 5 Monday to Friday as of right now.
09:26Taking thumbnail photos.
09:27Yeah, yeah.
09:289 to 5.
09:29Yeah.
09:29You ready?
09:30Yep.
09:30All right, rolling.
09:31We're right now in a thumbnail tube.
09:34They're spending hours getting everything set up so that when Jimmy comes in,
09:38he's just ready to go.
09:39And so I can just go boom, boom, boom, boom, take the photos and get out because
09:42I can't waste time, like five minutes.
09:45I can't waste it.
09:46Right now, they're setting up and telling everyone where to stand on the grid.
09:50It is so precise.
09:52How important is the grid?
09:53Right now, we need all of our production assistants who aren't as familiar with the gear
09:57to be able to hit their spot right when they, you know, clearly know exactly where they're going.
10:02It lets us keep track of where all the lights are, where all the people are, where the camera is,
10:06and then we can save all of that info.
10:09And if we ever have anything that's like super similar concept,
10:11then we can just reset back to what we had before like that.
10:14So it's really helped our efficiency in terms of like shooting with Jimmy.
10:18It's a pretty goofy little job we have here.
10:22As much as I wish I wrapped everything before Beast Games,
10:24there were just so many main channel videos I still had to do.
10:29So this is day 100 of the Survive 100 Days in a Prison.
10:33Yeah.
10:33So you learned under Tyler.
10:35Now you're the creative director.
10:37What do you think is the biggest thing you take on to free up Jimmy's time?
10:41When we film some of these check in the 15 minutes.
10:42Yeah.
10:43All the bits are planned out and made sure they're ready.
10:45Keep Jimmy's time as cut short as possible.
10:47When he rolls up, he's able to just flow, flow, flow, show up, do it, get out.
10:51The guy with the tattoos,
10:53he spent three years in federal prison for running a Ponzi scheme.
10:56Obviously, I'm not going to have a murderer.
10:57And he wants to use the money if he wins to pay back restitution to his victims.
11:01So it's a good story.
11:02So how many cameras are in this prison set?
11:05I was about 28.
11:0628.
11:07And they're rolling 24-7.
11:09That's correct.
11:09Another example of us testing things on YouTube to bring over to Beast Games
11:13would just be our control rooms.
11:14Look at all this stuff behind me.
11:16It did not exist as of a few days ago.
11:18They've literally set up a custom control room.
11:20It is a huge undertaking.
11:21We also have this for every set in Beast Games.
11:24We have like 10 of these.
11:25And all of these sets have their own story producers that are taking notes.
11:28All right, you can see the control room is in a totally different place than usual.
11:31It's in this truck.
11:32In the control room, there's an army of story producers.
11:35They all have headsets on.
11:36They're listening to a hundred different people's mics.
11:38Are you listening to every single microphone on set?
11:41We have the capability to switch between them and kind of check on all the different players.
11:47And also listening to Jimmy and his boys.
11:49What do you do for a living?
11:50Just out of curiosity.
11:51Stay at home, dad.
11:52I play with blocks every day.
11:53So all of these are tags.
11:54You can sort by these different tags.
11:56So if I just want to see everything that we thought was funny, I could search by funny.
12:01As the episode goes on, we are going to add notes of things that stood out to us on camera,
12:06that we heard them say, we saw them do.
12:09Like 69, he was doing this like crazy dance, and I have a note of that,
12:13and I want to add that into his one sheet.
12:15You really don't know who's going to end up in the finale.
12:18And we want to know that they have a full, strong story from the very first episode.
12:22So we're filming just so much content at the same time, it's unfathomable.
12:26We're on set of one of Jimmy's most expensive videos.
12:30He's giving away this private jet that's worth over two million dollars
12:33to a guy that's been living, sleeping, and traveling on it for the past 99 days.
12:39So this control room is here for over a hundred days,
12:42filming him while we're shooting Beast Games.
12:44Today's day 100, so he's made it.
12:46And Jimmy's about to come in and gift it to him.
12:49I think it's going to get crazy.
12:50We're moments away from the video ending.
12:52And it's time for one final decision.
12:55Tariq, bring them out.
12:58Here's the thing, your family has no idea about the second offer.
13:02If he goes another 100 days, I'll give him half a million dollars.
13:05No.
13:06No?
13:06No.
13:07You want your husband back?
13:08Yeah.
13:09When you sign this line, this private jet will be in your name.
13:13This is a two and a half million dollar signature.
13:17Okay.
13:18It's officially yours.
13:19And my final question is, are you doing another 100 days
13:23or do you want to go hang out with your family?
13:25I think I'm going to choose that option right now.
13:27Go say hi, dude!
13:30Oh, that's so adorable.
13:32I don't know if I'm getting emotional because I'm also a dad.
13:35And being part of this documentary, I'm away from my daughter for about 30 days to film this.
13:39Seeing his daughter, his wife, all his friends and family here.
13:43It's emotional.
13:44Does this feeling ever get old or feel normal?
13:47This is fresh.
13:47This is crazy.
13:48Two, three.
13:49Look, it's the look on his face when he sees his family.
13:52It's always, it's always the best.
13:54How many times do you guys visit the set in these 100 day videos typically?
13:57I feel like 60 times.
13:58Yeah.
13:59Wow.
13:59At least.
13:59I've spent so much time with this guy.
14:01Like, I feel like I, like we're friends now.
14:03Look at this guy.
14:04Look, look how strong he is.
14:05All right, that's a wrap on the private jet video.
14:08Jimmy is already sprinting to his next one.
14:10We also filmed this whole video where we had cheetah versus the world's fastest car
14:13and all these other stunts going on.
14:15So we went to South Africa, raced the Formula E car.
14:18It's the fastest accelerating car in the world versus the cheetah.
14:21And we filmed tug of war with the world's strongest man versus a lion.
14:23We had like an elephant that came in and painted.
14:26What are you filming today?
14:27All right, we're going to see if the highest jumper in the world can jump higher than a tiger.
14:31Oh, wow.
14:32She's right behind you.
14:33Oh.
14:36She tried to touch you.
14:37This is going to be lit.
14:38You feel like YouTube videos like this are a testing grounds for beast games?
14:44100%.
14:44If you watch our ages one to 100 decide video,
14:47we had Jimmy go up and give $10,000 for anyone who's willing to eliminate their robe.
14:51We're now at $50,000 doing it.
14:53I'm sorry.
14:55Are you serious?
14:57That hit, we ran it for the show.
14:59One of the best moments of season one.
15:01Nine hundred.
15:02Oh my God.
15:03Oh my God.
15:04Wow.
15:05We got it back in season two.
15:06He took it.
15:10If you have an incubator for content ideas that most big shows do not have.
15:15Yeah.
15:15We try it and see how it feels and it feels right.
15:17We do it.
15:18Yeah.
15:18To get the tiger excited, that chicken leg right there is going to bounce up and down.
15:23Oh, she wants it.
15:25How hard is it to shoot with live animals?
15:27You can't really tell a tiger to jump.
15:28We have to use its bait.
15:29But like if it decides it's not hungry enough to jump, then it just doesn't jump.
15:32Yeah.
15:33All right, here comes the jump.
15:35We got to reload.
15:36She got it.
15:36This is a brutal part of working with animals.
15:38There's one point where we're sitting here calling him over and over and over as he's not answering,
15:42in hopes that he finally picks it up and shows up on set because we were filming in like 15
15:47minutes.
15:47Yo, it's on that.
15:48We got a shot of getting Jimmy here now for rehearsal.
15:51He had feastables meetings.
15:52He had to film with the main channel.
15:54He had to film vertical content.
15:55He's filming nonstop.
15:57We're just trying to get the tiger shot.
15:59The tiger keeps catching the meat and we're trying to get a good jump.
16:02When do you need me there?
16:03Those are a little tricky because on one hand, I totally understand.
16:06And on the other hand, we got a show to film.
16:08I thought there was a world he didn't show up to his own shoot and I got nervous.
16:12So we're like two hours behind.
16:14We're two hours behind.
16:15Denise, creative is the most important thing in the world.
16:18So we won't compromise on creative.
16:19We'll wait here until we get the best shot that we can get.
16:22We're struggling to get her to jump.
16:23So I'm going to try doing the pulley myself.
16:27You might have got it.
16:28Let's see.
16:29Is that the slow-mo?
16:30Yeah.
16:30Probably out here it is in slow-mo.
16:34That's way cooler than I thought.
16:35That's what I'm saying.
16:36These shots look sick.
16:37And then we'll be able to play the side by side of you both going up.
16:40How do you manage Jimmy's schedule?
16:42There's what Jimmy wants and needs.
16:43And then there's also what every single other person in the company wants and needs.
16:47I mean, I still have to do voiceover and work out before I leave.
16:50It's fascinating to see how content revolves around his schedule.
16:54I mean, Jimmy used to do these seven-day videos, like seven days in a coffin,
16:58which meant he could only do one video per week.
17:01But now, Jimmy has teams that set up different shoots from YouTube to Beast Games.
17:06He can film a ton more videos per week.
17:08So Jimmy can come into this segment, film it, and go out.
17:11It looks like they're about to wrap and you guys are going to take them too.
17:14This game is set next, and then we'll do that for about four or five hours.
17:17And then at 3 or 4 a.m., we'll do another man versus animal bit at a junkyard,
17:22where we have a bunch of Navy SEALs hiding from dogs that are supposed to find their Navy SEALs.
17:27This is his old world record.
17:2912 feet, 3 inches.
17:31And if he touches it, he's going to set a new one.
17:33This does not seem humanly possible.
17:36World of record.
17:37Can he do it?
17:39Oh my god.
17:43Oh, he crushed it!
17:45Yo, that was crazy!
17:47You just set the Guinness World record.
17:49Ah, I feel like I can go higher.
17:51Oh boy, thank gosh.
17:52This guy.
17:53You just jumped higher than any human on the planet.
17:55And the first thing he says is, I can go higher.
17:58What a freaking maniac.
18:01You're levitating.
18:02I'm not going to lie.
18:03Bro, you literally look like a superhero there.
18:06That is insane.
18:08Your knee is the same height as my head.
18:11Congratulations.
18:12You have officially beaten your previous world record with a new world record.
18:17And I'm sure you'll probably beat it again.
18:20Let's go to the next challenge.
18:21If there's one thing I've learned from Jimmy during our 45-day shoot together,
18:25is that he obsesses over every single detail.
18:27And that includes his domain name, mrbeast.store.
18:30And he's not alone.
18:31From speed.store to dudeperfect.store to our own created.store.
18:35So many creators trust .store domains, who is today's sponsor.
18:39So if you're a creator selling online or even planning to,
18:42don't go with a lengthy .com link that nobody could type or remember.
18:45Go with .store so it's easy to remember and people can trust that it's your official store.
18:50Plus, a website with a .store domain drives 2x higher visibility
18:53because the word store is in the link.
18:56So if you're a creator selling merch or anything digital or physical,
18:59use my link below to get a special deal to get your .store domain
19:03for only $1 for the first year before somebody else grabs it.
19:07Thanks again to our friends at .store domain for sponsoring this video.
19:10And now back to it.
19:11I'm doing 12, 15, sometimes.
19:13I mean, some of those days are 18, 20-hour days on Beast Games.
19:16And then I'm turning around and having to go shoot main channel content
19:19just to go back to the Beast Games grind.
19:21I mean, that was, that was a lot, man.
19:23Yeah.
19:23Alright, let's get on set.
19:24The limo is outside right now. The jet is ready. We're about to go to the island.
19:29Raise the wall!
19:32Eyes are on him the whole time. Eyes are on me.
19:35So I'm going to back up because I don't want to get hit by the cannon.
19:37Thumbs up if everybody understands that.
19:40Jimmy's going to say somewhere in the city is 10 cannonballs.
19:42I hit 10 cannonballs all around the city.
19:46The first 10 people to find a cannonball, shoot this cannon, goes to the island.
19:50We're going to decide who's competing for a $1.8 million island right here, right now.
19:56Go!
20:03Alright, we got our first finder.
20:06Johnny, try to get her shooting it ASAP so they hear it.
20:09She's about to fire the first cannon.
20:12Our drone team and the drone footage we have, at least for me, is one of the favorite parts of
20:18the show.
20:18It's the coolest looking stuff on television.
20:21What shot are you trying to get right now?
20:23One of them is going to be hovering right in front of the cannons.
20:25Yeah.
20:25Master wide and hopefully the cannonballs be like right under.
20:28And then we got FPV going all around.
20:30Okay, so we got somebody coming up with the cannonball now.
20:32So I'm trying to give a little low tracking shot as he heads it out.
20:35All up there is a drone racing league world champion.
20:38What I'm going to try to do is fly past the cannon as it fires.
20:46You guys have been flying these drones all show long.
20:48How much do these things cost?
20:50You can buy kind of what you see here for about 18 grand.
20:53Wow.
20:53But by the time you get everything you need to actually do an entire show's worth of production,
20:57you're probably looking at more like 25-ish per drone.
21:00Yeah.
21:00Round up, 30.
21:0130.
21:0130 all day.
21:02They're not cheap and for something that is not cheap, we put them in some precarious places.
21:06Like what?
21:06Over cannons.
21:07In front of cannonballs.
21:08You're the second person going to the island whenever you're ready.
21:12All right, take it off with the Mavic.
21:14He's going to shoot it.
21:16That was crazy.
21:17There are six left and we've been looking for a hot minute.
21:20The contestants are racing around the city.
21:22We got our headphones on just to block the noise from the explosions of the cannon because it is
21:27loud.
21:28They got the safety measures in place.
21:30They got the pyrotechnics, the explosions, the lighting.
21:33It is unbelievable.
21:35Heck yeah!
21:38When the last cannonball runs over there, I need everyone to be like, yeah.
21:43And then Jimmy's going to trigger the big bomb.
21:44I think we have one more person who just found a cannonball.
21:51Go, go, go, go, go, go.
21:57Cue the fireworks show.
21:59Here comes the biggest explosion yet.
22:21All right, the fireworks are over and now the fire department is here on site making sure all
22:26the flames, all the smoke, everything is safe.
22:30So this is not an occurrence with our gear.
22:33Take a bullet hole.
22:34Oh, I can see the lens, dude.
22:37Wow.
22:38This is where we keep all our camera bodies and 90% of what we have right now is that
22:43one shoot.
22:43Yeah.
22:44Oh my God.
22:44Look at all your gopros.
22:45How much money do you think all the gear here is worth?
22:48If I had to put a number on it, it's definitely north of five million.
22:51I mean, we have, you know, thousands and thousands of individual serialized items that we keep track of.
22:57This is our new workhorse, the XT26.
23:00It's a 2,600 watt fixture.
23:03And this is for the outdoor shoots.
23:05You look like a ghostbuster right now.
23:07Exactly.
23:07Yeah, it makes you crazy look.
23:11These FPV drones.
23:13These are flying cars.
23:14Oh yeah.
23:15What the hell?
23:17This is like my childhood and adulthood merch.
23:19Oh, for sure.
23:20Look at this.
23:20Look at the GoPro in the front, the drone propellers.
23:24So this thing will like drive into a shot and then fly.
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:28They want to have every angle covered so that they can pull from any moment.
23:31So it's truly unscripted.
23:32Oh, absolutely.
23:33I mean, I've been geeking out like all day, but this is something else.
23:36We try to take a lot of the core foundation of Mr. Beast, giving away money, giving away private
23:41islands and a lot of the games, challenges, burying alive.
23:44Weirdly, I've done that three times now.
23:46Guards, bury them alive!
23:49Nine contestants are being buried alive.
23:51Oh my God.
23:53How are you thinking about this from a filming perspective?
23:55It's all about their confessionals to the camera when they're in there.
23:59So obviously we have one just straight down.
24:01I am really out here getting buried right now.
24:04I'm going to fill this up quick.
24:06And we've got two on either side.
24:08So it's like they're laying on one side or the other.
24:09And then these coffins are so large.
24:11You're essentially able to sit up within the coffin.
24:14So we put one at their feet.
24:15Oh my God.
24:16That's what we've learned, especially after seeing Jimmy in one for seven days.
24:19Just like camera placement within this confined space.
24:22It's going to sound crazy, but if you're going to bury somebody alive,
24:25you want the Beast team to do it.
24:27Can I bury myself in the coffin?
24:28You can.
24:29Really?
24:30Absolutely.
24:32Whoa.
24:33It's been nice knowing you.
24:36Whoa!
24:37Scary, right?
24:38All right.
24:39That's a wrap, everybody.
24:42That is terrifying.
24:43Like, how did you prepare for this when you did this for your YouTube videos?
24:46Truthfully, the first time I plot a coffin, I put it in my garage.
24:49It was my old house.
24:50And I would just lay in it for a few hours every night just to adjust to being in it.
24:54Because I wanted to know if I was going to have a panic attack before we started the video.
24:57There's 20,000 pounds of dirt on me.
24:59And if the coffin broke, I was dead.
25:01No.
25:02Bro, my back was hurting.
25:03I mean, you can get blood clots, but people found it enjoyable.
25:06Look at the views on it.
25:07Would you ever bury yourself alive for more than seven days?
25:10At one point, we were thinking about doing a month, but I said,
25:12I got so much stuff going on now.
25:14I'm good.
25:14John hits the hardest questions as, like, my awareness and, like, brain cells are plummeting.
25:21John's like, all right, time to dig deep.
25:22Your childhood, your mother, what was that relationship like?
25:25That's his job.
25:26That's why I told him to hang around.
25:27That's right.
25:28That's true.
25:28But no one else will.
25:29Most people would be too afraid.
25:30What does it take to be Jimmy's main cam op?
25:33You have to be able to predict what he wants before he wants it.
25:36There you go.
25:37Yeah, he just wants to be talent.
25:38Doesn't want to do it.
25:39Wait, Darius, do you want to be in front of the camera?
25:41Yeah, he does.
25:43He's fiending to throw the camera down.
25:45Wow, so you're going to have Darius in the main channel YouTube video in front of the camera.
25:48There's a lot of folks at Beast have worn many different hats.
25:51I mean, Carl was behind the camera.
25:52Like, Tariq's, like, has...
25:53Exactly.
25:53That's our pipeline to talent is you just hold the camera until everyone kind of likes you.
25:57You're already thinking about how to, like, rotate more of your couples.
26:01Yeah, because it's not like I don't like these guys.
26:03Yeah.
26:03So, you know, like, right after we finish this, it's 30 days of nonstop main channel filming.
26:07Like, these guys are going to be dying.
26:09You know what I mean?
26:09Yeah.
26:10So...
26:10Do you think you'll continue, like, on that pace?
26:12Like...
26:13Yeah, because it's my company, but it's different, you know?
26:14Even when you have a family and kids?
26:16Oh, like 20 years?
26:17I don't know.
26:18I just know what I'm doing in the next 24 hours.
26:20And it's eating shit and filming.
26:23This is what I'm talking about.
26:25See how Carl's just yelling random things?
26:27Camera man in the circle.
26:30I'm looking like Steve Urkel.
26:32Oh, oh, oh, oh.
26:34So am I.
26:37We are the guys.
26:39John, who looks more like Steve Urkel?
26:42I'm about to get canceled.
26:45Maybe just by a little.
26:48Because I did 24 hours in a desert, 24 hours in a jungle, 24 hours underwater.
26:52I have 24 hours of solitary confinement.
26:53Period alive was just a natural evolution, you know?
26:55Did you ever think you'd die when you were doing your YouTube videos?
26:58No, because we have safety teams and stuff, and I have faith.
27:00I mean, that's why we have Johnny.
27:01If there was a catastrophic emergency up here, they'd be safer down there.
27:06Johnny, it's a stunt double here.
27:07This is our scene.
27:08How are you doing?
27:09We'll push you in.
27:09This guy was Zac Efron's stunt double.
27:11The things that you did during your breaks, where you invited other creators on.
27:16It was a lot.
27:17That's what makes it so hard, because I wasn't just doing Beast Camps.
27:20I was also doing the marketing for Beast Camps.
27:21And I was doing social posts and stuff for after the show drops.
27:24And so those were, man, those were jam-packed days.
27:26It was a lot of creators we filmed with.
27:28And I'm so grateful for them.
27:29John, what's up, baby?
27:33I love this guy.
27:35I love this guy, man.
27:36I love this guy.
27:37When you got this shit out here, you know you made it, dude.
27:39I said get that out of my shot.
27:42That's John's quote, Mike.
27:43That's not me.
27:44Bro, you can't stand on there when you're 6'5", you're making me look like I'm T1, bro.
27:47Come on.
27:50T1, stand on there, man.
27:52They're great equalizers.
27:53There we go.
27:54This is my two worlds colliding right here.
27:56I want to be here without you guys.
27:57Wait, what's the most viewed video on John's channel, though?
27:59Wait, I haven't beat him yet?
28:01I think Danny has 3.5 and Jimmy has...
28:04Number one most viewed videos on his channel is me.
28:06Let's get it.
28:06I'm in second.
28:07Bro, you have 400 million subscribers.
28:09I'll probably gain 8 million in the next video.
28:12This is Mr. Beast, the biggest YouTuber in the world.
28:15So behind me, Jimmy is doing another collab with a creator.
28:18It's his ninth one tonight as he kind of speed runs through each of these creator collabs.
28:22Is that Brent Rivera?
28:23Yeah.
28:24And it's been orchestrated by Sinan, the head of marketing for Beast Games, to help promote the show.
28:29How many TikToks would you say you've shot so far throughout the show?
28:3347, 48.
28:34Wow.
28:35And how hard is it to get, like, time?
28:37Very hard.
28:38You said that before I finished.
28:40Very hard.
28:41Yeah.
28:41We put creators in different areas of the set during Jimmy's break,
28:44so you can do the collabs back to back to back without losing any time.
28:48Eric came down, Graham Stephan, Matthew Beam in his secret room, Haley Bailey.
28:53Because we're building such large, massive sets in Beast Games,
28:56it's just a perfect breeding ground to film social content.
28:59Lethal Shooter taught me everything he knows.
29:01Can you guess which shot went in?
29:02Before we shoot with Jimmy, we do it with a stand-in to make sure that the camera angles,
29:07the sound, and the lights are perfect.
29:08So we can get it in one take without wasting his time.
29:11Can you guess who makes this shot?
29:12Three, two, one.
29:16And those 40 collabs would not have been possible without our head of marketing,
29:18Sinan.
29:19He crushed it.
29:20We're coming up with better ideas on this channel.
29:22We're coming up with bangers.
29:25Jimmy's like, finally a break.
29:28Finally a break.
29:29His eyes have been shut for like 30 seconds.
29:31He's like taking a nap.
29:33You have an extremely busy schedule, so.
29:35Oh yeah, I'm going to go back to killing Beast Games.
29:36I won't forget to post an Instagram story.
29:38Go check it out.
29:39YouTubers collaborate.
29:40That's a normal thing.
29:42And the idea that television doesn't do it,
29:45it just doesn't make sense to me.
29:47There's a lot of things that get in the way with that.
29:49A lot of networks and a lot of problems.
29:50But there's no reason not to figure it out.
29:52And so we did.
29:54We went straight to the source.
29:55We went to Jeff.
29:56Getting excited.
29:57Get to meet the players.
29:59See Jimmy.
30:03Russ, go ahead and roll.
30:04Rolling.
30:05Action, Jeff.
30:09Oh, that's sick.
30:11Welcome.
30:12Come join me.
30:14Jeff Brooks?
30:15Yes, it is.
30:17For Survivor specifically, there's a hundred thousand reasons
30:21why we should collaborate with them.
30:22We give away islands.
30:24I bought this show, enormous private island,
30:26and I'm giving it to one of you.
30:27There's a whole island video where we do votes like tribal,
30:30even strength and smart.
30:31Strong versus smart.
30:33Came from brains and brawn.
30:35We're doing three tribes this year.
30:37Beauty, brains, and brawn.
30:39Everyone in our company has seen some form of Survivor episodes.
30:42You watch Survivor every week.
30:45I know.
30:45Literally, Jeff Probst is the godfather of challenge television.
30:48Jimmy, is it wild that Jeff's first season of Survivor
30:51was when he was 27 years old?
30:53You're 27 years old right now.
30:55Really?
30:55Yeah.
30:56Dang.
30:57Jeff's been doing Survivor as long as I've been alive.
31:00Every second I've grieved air is the second he spent making this show.
31:03What's up?
31:04You're finally here.
31:06Good.
31:07Nice to finally meet you.
31:08Finally, man.
31:08Thanks for having me.
31:09Yeah, thank you.
31:10Beast Games, welcome to Survivor.
31:12Welcome to Fiji.
31:14Hey, everybody.
31:15We got Beast Games team here.
31:17How's it going?
31:18Nice to meet you all.
31:20Survivor has really perfected storytelling.
31:22It's literally what started all of this, right?
31:24I mean, we kind of have Survivor to thank for that.
31:27You have Jeff and Survivor in like one of the greatest TV franchises ever.
31:33And now you have Jimmy and Beast Games in the biggest, probably most watched competition show ever.
31:40And it was like you and Kareem met magic for the first time.
31:45But it was the two giants of their respective worlds like coming together in that moment.
31:50We've revamped it all into your color scheme with your logos and your banners.
31:55I love it.
31:55We think it works pretty well, but the idea is we run it.
31:58And then you and your team tweak it as you want.
32:00Hey, Carl, hop up there.
32:01I don't even know where to go from here.
32:03To me, this is the highest point we'll ever see, I think.
32:06Oh, yeah, dude.
32:07I'm here for life.
32:10For the first phase, you go through here.
32:12You got coconuts.
32:14You got to stand on this platform, take one coconut at a time.
32:17We brought 10 people.
32:18We left our entire crew and we basically asked them,
32:22can we use your whole crew?
32:23As amazing as our crew is at filming Beast Games,
32:26our crew wouldn't film Survivor the way Survivor's crew would.
32:29That was their off day.
32:30They worked six days a week.
32:32That off day, they used for us just to help our show.
32:36I'm letting Jeff take over this episode on Paul and his lead.
32:38It'll be fun.
32:39I don't know how they do it on Beast Games.
32:40On Survivor, we move quickly.
32:42We've never done anything like this.
32:44We're super insulated, you know, you could say protective of our show.
32:49We really don't typically even have people visiting,
32:51but the only people we would have here would be Beast Games.
32:55I don't want to conform Jeff to our style.
32:56I want to conform myself to his style.
32:58I mean, it's 50 seasons, clearly people like it.
33:02When we went to Survivor Island, that's something that Sean kind of put into effect.
33:07Jeff, can I show you this picture that Sean Klisner shared of your first meeting together?
33:11Yeah, it's at our guest house.
33:12Do you remember how that came together and like,
33:14what role Lori played in that?
33:16Like, how did that all come about?
33:17We're here because of her.
33:17I had an opportunity to go visit Fiji.
33:20We just happened to be seated next to each other on the plane ride to Fiji,
33:24and immediately hit it off and got to talking.
33:27I literally asked Lori Delacali on the airplane over to Fiji, who's Jeff's right hand,
33:33you know, with all things PR.
33:34And I just said, hey, we should do something together.
33:36And she goes, huh?
33:39What does that look like?
33:40I was like, well, what if we did something as a collab?
33:43I texted Jeff right from the plane.
33:45You know, we got to talk as soon as I land.
33:47She looked up, she goes, I just texted Jeff.
33:49I was like, like Jeff, Jeff Probst?
33:52Then all of a sudden, it goes ding.
33:54And she looks down, she goes, he's really into it.
33:57We just kept talking.
33:58Lori's like, we should do something with them.
34:00They are cool.
34:01They're like us.
34:02We meet with Jeff.
34:03We spent about two hours with him.
34:05And I took out my camera and I took a picture.
34:08And he goes, let's change television.
34:10OK, we officially have our two team captain out.
34:14I'm dreaming.
34:15This is crazy.
34:16We're all rolling.
34:18All right, over to Jeff.
34:19Yo.
34:20All right, they're off.
34:21First out of the game.
34:22That's how you do it on Survivor.
34:24Mink is falling incredibly behind.
34:26Is this it?
34:29It was interesting to see the Survivor team
34:32that has a formula down to a science
34:35of how they produce TV to have the circus come into town.
34:39As similar as Jeff and Jimmy are in their content,
34:42they're totally different in their approach.
34:44It's fun to watch Jimmy sort of go wherever he wants.
34:47He doesn't care that his hat covers his face.
34:49He doesn't care he's back to camera.
34:50I literally was looking at Jimmy going,
34:52this guy's the king.
34:54Clearly, genius.
34:56That's exactly what he's doing.
34:57There's kids on the set.
34:58He's like, oh, come in, come in.
34:59I'll say hi to the kids.
35:01And, you know, Jeff Probst took a moment and was like,
35:05this is what you do on your show?
35:06Like, people can come and go?
35:07He's like, Jimmy's like, yeah, like, this is what we do.
35:09They've taken this genre and just steroided it.
35:14Everything's bigger.
35:15The bribes are not a hamburger.
35:20Three, two, one.
35:23All right, ladders out.
35:24Remember, if your feet hit that sand,
35:26your chances of winning the island is over.
35:29Tyler, this could get interesting quickly.
35:31Jimmy, he is jamming his face.
35:33Yeah, that does not look comfortable.
35:35For leverage.
35:35Jeff is coming in with a little bit where he's giving away a burger,
35:40which is a big deal on Survivor.
35:41Ethan, this is a fresh burger made in our Survivor kitchen.
35:44I don't like burgers.
35:45Ian?
35:46Ian said no.
35:47Give it to the losers so they feel a little better.
35:48And then Jimmy's going to come in with his big twist.
35:51Carl, bring it on in.
35:53I'm curious.
35:54Will any of you take my $50,000 bribe?
35:5650G, baby.
35:58Stay up.
35:59Bro, let's have families.
36:01You're not going to beat us in tribal.
36:02Ethan, you're good.
36:04Six, five.
36:05Ethan, don't do it.
36:06Take it, Ethan.
36:07I'm going to take it.
36:08One, slide down.
36:09No, Ethan, Ethan.
36:10Yeah, you're good.
36:11You're good if you slide down now.
36:12I'll allow it.
36:13Wait, Ethan is really taking it.
36:15Okay.
36:17Wow.
36:18Wait, Ethan, you can slide down.
36:20Wait, Ethan was about to give in, too.
36:23Does seeing, like, bribes with that much money
36:25or the fact that Jimmy has given over $24 million in one season,
36:30you've given over $50 million in over 50 seasons,
36:33does that make you think about the prize money
36:35you want to give away on Survivor moving forward?
36:37No, because this is the fundamental difference
36:40of the two social experiments, in my opinion.
36:44Beast Games is about what would you do for money.
36:47Survivor is who are you when stripped of everything.
36:49So our show, the money is a carrot, but the experience
36:55and the adventure of being tested with while you're living
36:59in nature with no food and no soup and all,
37:00that's what the show's about.
37:02Your experiment is very different.
37:03You just saw it play out.
37:05Ethan was, as Jimmy just said, seconds away from probably
37:09the island because he's saying JC can get the votes.
37:11He can't get the votes.
37:13But the minute Jimmy said, this is guaranteed,
37:16Ethan said, I'm taking the guarantee.
37:18I thought that was that little moment.
37:20I'd say that's what Beast Games is all about right there.
37:22Even now people say, when are you going to be done?
37:25I don't know.
37:27You know, I love pointing to you as an example,
37:28because I say the same thing.
37:30Like I've been doing YouTube for 15 years and everyone's like,
37:32well, eventually you're going to get too old
37:34because I've been doing it since I was 12.
37:35And I'm like, I mean, Jeff's in his 60s now.
37:38He's still going like, why do I, why do I have to stop before I turn 30?
37:42What do you mean?
37:42You know, they're like, so when you're 40 years old,
37:44you'll be making YouTube videos.
37:45And I'm like, yeah, why not?
37:47Your storytelling's up here and you leave no other characters.
37:50And I would say season one, we're down here.
37:51And in season two, I'm trying to like bring it up to here
37:53where you like feel like you really know a lot of the contestants.
37:56That's cool.
37:57That's a nice compliment.
37:58And you bring spectacle in a way that really blows up an idea,
38:01which is cool.
38:02The question is, who's going to be doing this longer?
38:05Me or Jeff?
38:05I'll let you guys decide that.
38:06I got another 20, 30 years in the tank.
38:08Does he?
38:09Damn.
38:11That's unfair.
38:12Yeah, who's going to quit first?
38:13Yeah.
38:13He's in his 60s.
38:15He's so old.
38:17This is how I think Jimmy sees me.
38:20No, I see a little more bent over.
38:22A little more.
38:22Yeah, sorry.
38:22That was a little too healthy.
38:24I'm just kidding.
38:24A set is not complete until they shoot social media content.
38:27That's what we've learned from Jimmy throughout all of this.
38:29You know, they're about to film a few Instagram photos,
38:31a few TikToks and Reels.
38:32And I wouldn't be surprised if after this,
38:34Survivor starts doing even more social posts.
38:36Hey, here's your microphone.
38:46My ball gets in the target before yours.
38:49Will you go on your YouTube channel and say,
38:51Survivor's the greatest show and everybody should watch it.
38:52Yes, I will 100% promote it, but you're not winning.
38:55So it is what it is.
38:56They literally went, hey, welcome to our family.
38:59Like, come on in.
38:59Let's try something new.
39:00Let's do something.
39:01Let's not say no was our rule.
39:04Let's just not say no.
39:05And what came out of it was,
39:07I don't want to say it could change the industry,
39:09but it should open the industry's eyes up to
39:12how collaboration should happen more in the industry.
39:15It's what the next generation wants to see.
39:17You guys have no idea how epic this is going to be.
39:19People are going to love it.
39:21And I am very grateful for you guys.
39:22There is so much that we have been able to learn
39:26throughout the experience of traditional television.
39:29But the one thing that we really, really have
39:32is that YouTube, get it done, whatever it takes mentality.
39:37And I think we figured out...
39:42I think we figured out what people want to watch on television.
39:49It's my How to Succeed and Mr. Beast production.
39:52Yeah, I remember when this leaked.
39:54I've met so many people who said their boss made them read this.
39:57I'm just going to read from it.
39:59It is 1135 Pack Night.
40:01Jimmy is selling a Lunch Leap commercial.
40:03Let's do one more.
40:03This is where the expansion is being done.
40:05Here, we solve crazy problems.
40:06That's how you pull off the impossible.
40:08We have a phone that says, ask for anything.
40:10How do you produce something like that?
40:11The requests are coming in one by one by one.
40:13Sending the serpent to a masseuse.
40:15Tattoo artist.
40:16Psychic.
40:17Drivers all over the city.
40:18Private jets waiting on standby.
40:20I am getting slammed.
40:22Could you connect me with Elon Musk?
40:24I DMed Elon, and then the next day Elon replied with him.
