Blur are back. Not as a nostalgia project, but as an actual, time-stamped return. „blur: To the End“ is a documentary that tracks the band over a whole year when they surprised everyone with their first record in eight years. The punchline is the album itself: „The Ballad of Darren“. But the movie is more interested in what happens around it. The nerves. The momentum. The weird little in-between moments where you realize this isn’t a marketing plan, it’s just four people trying to make something real again. If you want clean rock-doc fireworks, don’t. If you want a close, sometimes funny, sometimes unexpectedly emotional look at how a comeback actually gets made, you’re in the right place. Also, it’s Blur. So, you know, it helps.

Und ja, das Album heißt „The Ballad of Darren“.
