This isn’t Imagine Dragons doing a polite acoustic detour. They brought the LA Film Orchestra to the Hollywood Bowl and basically said, “Cool, now make the hits bigger.” Over the course of nearly two hours, classic tracks like “Radioactive,” “Demons,” and “Believer” get re-arranged into something more cinematic than you’d expect. More than 40 musicians are on stage, so the sound has that grand orchestral heft, while the band keeps the punchy, cathartic core. Recorded in fall 2024, it feels like two shows at once: a first-time orchestra moment for a lot of younger fans and a very satisfied evening for older ones. Then the set wraps with a dramatic finale and fireworks, because subtlety is optional.
