Crescent City is the kind of serial-killer thriller where the body count rises and so does the suspicion. A small town in the south is being ravaged, and pretty quickly the rule becomes simple: everyone’s a suspect. That includes the police, because why would anyone get the luxury of trust.
Our lead investigator tries to keep the case moving, but the mystery comes with a second problem. The closer he gets to answers, the more the past starts crawling back into the present. So you get murders, fractured relationships, and that sinking feeling that the investigation is chasing the truth while also stepping on its own worst habits.
If you’re in the mood for gritty small-town paranoia, this one delivers. If you expect clean twists and tight storytelling, well… you might be doing some of the fixing in your head.

Crescent City ist genau die Sorte Krimi, bei der man nach dem ersten Mord denkt: Okay, wer war’s diesmal. Spoiler. Es ist nicht nur der Serienmörder, der Stress macht, sondern gleich das ganze System. Eine kleine Stadt im Süden wird terrorisiert, und plötzlich ist jeder verdächtig. Ja, auch die Polizei. Wer da noch an Ordnung glaubt, braucht offenbar stärkere Nerven als der leitende Ermittler, der mit jedem neuen Fall an alte Albträume erinnert wird.
Das Ganze ist ein düsteres Rätselspiel aus Angst, Misstrauen und immer neuen Puzzleteilen. Nur leider wirkt es oft, als würde die Spannung eher vom Kopfkino leben als von echten Überraschungen. Aber wenn du B-Movie-Atmosphäre mit Ermittlungsfrust magst: Hier findest du reichlich davon.
