00:00This could be TaylorMade's best launch in years.
00:14Welcome to the new QI4D family from TaylorMade and starting with the drivers it's a familiar
00:19story in terms of the model lineup. We've got the core model, we've got the low spinning LS model,
00:24we've got the super high forgiveness max model. In terms of the tech story it's very much a
00:29two-parter. The first part of that story is all about speed. Now TaylorMade are telling us there
00:34is no limit on club head speed. We know ball speeds can be limited but you can swing the club
00:39as fast
00:39as you like. So they've focused very heavily on the aerodynamics of this product to help you move
00:44that club as fast as you can. So if your input improves so will your output. The second part
00:49of the story is very much about fitting and more specifically in shafts. Now TaylorMade have teamed
00:53up with Mitsubishi to create a bespoke range of shafts for this QI4D product called Reax. Now a
01:00few of you will have heard that name before from a historical product and they've color-coded this
01:04shaft to specifically match your release. This will make it a lot easier for fitters and it will make
01:10it a lot more simple for you to select your stock shaft. Fairways again the lineup is very similar.
01:15We've got the core model which has been incredibly popular in terms of QI10 and QI35 and they've not
01:20really touched it. It's a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's got a new look and
01:24it sits a tiny
01:25bit flatter but it's very much the same tech story that's been so popular for the last couple of years.
01:30Then we've got the tour model which has had a little bit more work done to it. So the big
01:34sliding
01:34weight that was characteristic of the QI10 and QI35 has now gone. TaylorMade decided that the structure
01:40that was housing that sliding weight was taking up too much discretionary mass. So they've got rid of
01:45that, put in some more discreet weights and freed up some mass to put elsewhere in the club head.
01:49And finally in that range we've got the Max. Now you'll see from the b-roll here that this is
01:54a
01:54very big model. This is 200cc, has a very large footprint, is designed for maximum confidence,
02:00ease of launch and total forgiveness. In addition to the fairway woods, TaylorMade are also releasing
02:05the QI40 Rescue and Rescue Max. Alongside the new rescues, TaylorMade have got some game improvement
02:11irons with the QI Max and the Max HL. Now these are very much targeted at the game improvement market
02:16and
02:16they focus super heavily on improving the acoustics and impact feel. If you'd like to read a little
02:21bit more about the details of these clubs, don't forget to head over to the Golf Monthly website.
02:25And if you want to see them in action with myself and Sam Diaf actually hitting these clubs,
02:29head over to the Golf Monthly's review channel on YouTube.
