A queen wants love to work out. So naturally she sends the feared sorceress Gray Alys to the Lost Lands to get a magical ability that lets her turn into a werewolf. It is the kind of plan that sounds romantic right up until you realize it involves consequences, monsters, and a map that probably comes with a warning label.

Gray Alys is not alone. The drifter Boyce shows up as the mysterious guide for fights that escalate fast. You get ghostly wilderness vibes, enemies that don’t negotiate, and that awkward feeling that the “gift” she’s chasing might be the start of a bigger problem.

Because only Gray Alys knows the truth: every wish she fulfills comes with repercussions you don’t see coming. The movie may not be everyone’s cup of dark tea, but it commits to the mess. If you want werewolf power fantasies with a side of regret, this is your ticket.

Eine Königin will ihr Liebesglück. Also macht sie genau die Art Entscheidung, bei der man später als Volk vor dem Palast stehen und fragen muss, wer eigentlich für Magie zuständig ist. Sie schickt die gefürchtete Hexe Gray Alys in die Lost Lands, auf der Suche nach einer Gabe, die sie in einen Werwolf verwandeln kann. Klingt nach Stärke. Fühlt sich eher nach „bitte nicht anfassen“ an.

Mit dabei ist der mysteriöse Jäger Boyce, der nicht nur gegen düstere Kreaturen und gnadenlose Gegner kämpft, sondern offenbar auch gegen irgendwelche Regeln, die im Land der verlorenen Leute offenbar gern brechen. Und das Tückische? Jeder Wunsch, den Gray Alys erfüllt, hat Nebenwirkungen. Nicht im Sinne von Romantik, eher im Sinne von „oh, das war der Preis“. Niedriges Rating hin oder her. Wer Wolfsflüche und knisternde Dunkelheit mag, bekommt zumindest ordentlich Konflikt zum Anschauen.
