00:00To be continued...
00:40We're always looking for unique things about Route 66, and so to be able to say, hey, we have the
00:47longest main street along Route 66 out of all the eight states, you know, that's quite something to be proud
00:54of.
00:54It's instant, and it gives us kind of like a souvenir without having to stop by everywhere and get a
00:59souvenir, because you never end up printing out the cell phone ones.
01:02They just stay on the phone, never look at them.
01:15Stop and see some of the big, big stops.
01:18It matters in music. One of them, of course, is Route 66, Get Your Kicks. In the middle of Route
01:2466, of course, is Winslow, Arizona, where we're at today, for the Eagles' famous song.
01:28I've met people from different countries, different states, all over the world. Jerusalem, Australia, India, China, Japan. They like coming
01:39here, you know, to where it's kind of like the original standing on the corner, so they have a blast.
01:46They love it.
01:49Donkeys in Route 66 are our biggest attraction. While you're living with a herd of jackasses, they tear things up,
01:55they torment, they do a lot of damage to things, but at the same time, they are awesome. We love
02:00our burrows. We look out for them.
02:03This is the cozy rack that my grandfather did for cooking the cozy dog. We've got our pre-stuck cozy
02:08dogs, or I should say pre-stuck hot dogs, turn them into the rack if so. Now we can dip
02:16them down, swirl them around, and get a nice piece of coating on the hot dog, and then put it
02:21down in the oil. After about four to five minutes, you'll have a cozy dog.
02:31Fathers, mothers, bringing their kids because their grandparents brought them to a drive-in. You know, there's not a lot
02:37of these in the United States, so we want to make it family-friendly, fun, exciting. This is about Americana
02:44as it gets.
02:45Perhaps one of the most interesting things about Route 66 in this time is officially it doesn't exist. This highway
02:54hasn't existed as a U.S. highway since 1985, and yet it's more popular than any time in its history.
03:00It played an integral part in development of American car culture. Most travelers run Route 66 from east to west.
03:09The Native Americans have all been impacted by every stage of this. And the travelers, you know, good and bad.
03:30There's some big trainers in the world that the Canaanites.
03:30Let's go get to the lake as we found beautiful road.
