Madolyn Harris is a U.S. Marshal with a simple job: fly the fugitive accountant Winston out of Alaska and back to New York so he can testify against the mafia boss Moretti. Simple. Except the plane is small, the route is long, and the air gets tense fast. Then the real problem shows up at 30,000 feet. Madolyn realizes the pilot is not who he claims to be. Suddenly, the flight stops being a mission and starts being a hostage situation with paperwork vibes. The movie leans into that particular thriller joy: not knowing who’s lying, not trusting the cockpit, and counting down whether someone is about to make the worst possible call. Suspense first. Logic later. Maybe.

US-Marshalls müssen normalerweise für Ordnung sorgen. Madolyn Harris soll aber vor allem eins: den flüchtigen Buchhalter Winston von Alaska nach New York bringen, damit er vor Gericht gegen den Mafiaboss Moretti aussagt. Klingt nach akkurater Strafverfolgung. Bis die Maschine in der Luft abhebt und plötzlich nichts mehr stimmt. Der Pilot wirkt nicht nur nervös, sondern verdächtig. Und als Madolyn merkt, dass er nicht der ist, der er sein will, kippt das Ganze von „Transportmission“ zu „Überlebenstest“. Kein großes Finale als Konzept, eher ein zäher Kampf, bei dem jede Entscheidung nachrechnet, wie viele Sekunden die nächste Katastrophe noch braucht. Und ja, das Vertrauen stirbt wie auf Kommando.
