00:07A lot of questions surrounding Dark State.
00:10Saquon trying to get everyone on the same page.
00:12I don't know how Tony, D'Angelo and Kuro are gonna get on the same page.
00:16And D'Angelo gonna run up for Deion Lennox.

00:26And now that is exactly what Dark State is doing.
00:28And let's not forget this night started with Tony D'Angelo coming out here for
00:32the first time as the NXT champion.
00:35Didn't get to celebrate, was interrupted by Joe Entry, by Ethan Page, by Ricky Saints.
00:40And then everybody from Dark State came out of nowhere and
00:43chaos kicked us off here tonight.
00:45Tell you something, not getting a celebration for Tony D could have been
00:49the best thing for him, not getting comfortable, not losing that motivation.

01:01Let's take a look at Dark State as Saquon in this matchup tag.
01:05And here comes Cutler James, has Dark State missed Cutler James?
01:09Because James was literally taken out by D'Angelo at Vengeance Day.
01:12And before we go any farther, a reminder that we will hear from our new NXT champion,
01:17women's champion Lola Vice for the first time ever here tonight.
01:21And from one champion to another, there's Tony D'Angelo taking control.

01:42I think Tony was reaching out to tag in Joe Hendry and Ethan Payne, just like he does to
01:46the smiles of the NXT universe, steals the tag to make himself legal in this matchup.

03:16Well, Saints getting out, tagging in Joe Hendry, and now the former NXT Champion in this match,
03:21going right at Dion Lennox.
03:23Lennox now with a nice counter in his own right, coming right back in on Hendry.
03:26Hendry with a standing reverse, and he now charges in, there's Hendry, and
03:30takes Lennox off his feet.
03:32Big shoulder tackle there by Joe Hendry.
03:36And Hendry's trying to show his own power, Lennox up over, tag was made.
03:40And I asked you this earlier, has Darkstate missed cover, James?
03:44Has he been the glue, so to speak?
03:45I wouldn't necessarily say he's been the glue or anything like that, but
03:48he's definitely been a huge part of this team, and losing somebody like Cutler James is gonna
03:52affect a team like the Darkstate, trust me on that pick.
03:59Look at the muscle, look at the strength of Joe Hendry with the E-span.
04:04The NXT Universe counting along, big standing delayed vertical suplex only gets a two.
04:10And Hendry wisely getting between Cutler and the rest of Darkstate.
04:15But you can hear the NXT Universe right now, still chanting, they believe, as Saints tags in.

04:21They believe in Joe Hendry.
04:23Perhaps he'll be champion still, but he's not.
04:27But my thing is, if you're not the champ, you're gonna be around the champ.

06:00Well, Tony D'Angelo made the tag, and Ethan Page seemed to be a little bit reluctant
06:04to reach out and tag, as Tony just muscled up Saquon.

06:15Let's not forget, Tony D'Angelo has a gripe, had a vendetta with Darksting.
06:19That was phase one for Tony D when he returned here to NXT.
06:23He accomplished that in grand fashion at Vengeance Day.
06:27And he, whoa, just got caught, though, with a spine buster.
06:31Darkstate has just taken over in this eight-man tag team match.
06:38Former NXT Champion Joe Hendry fighting back in this matchup.
06:42But he's getting chopped down again by Saquon Sugar.

06:45Reaches out, and in comes Osiris.
06:49Darkstate showcasing their will, but Joe Hendry right now taking out two men.
06:54At least for this moment, the door has opened for the tag.
06:58Let's go back to some of the action.
07:02This was a huge spine buster for Tony D'Angelo in the match.
07:06But it really doesn't mean much right now because it's Joe Hendry trying to make a tag.

07:15Page and Saints didn't want to tag.

07:18Page and Saints went in no part, leaving Joe Hendry out to dry for Darkstate.
07:23Cover, count, then Hendry's still able to kick out.
07:27Tony was looking at Dion Lennox as Lennox was crawling, trying to sneak over there.

07:35Why didn't he want to make a tag for Joe?

09:05It was around the waist of Joe Hendry, but take a look at that offense from Cutler James,
09:12as Osiris now squashing Hendry.
09:16And finally breaking things up with Saints and Paige.

11:23As now we see, we're looking for that spear, I think, for a moment.

11:27Was D'Angelo caught him.
11:29Big spear from the NXT champion, who now has Saquon dead to rights.
11:37But a tag was made, Paige just hit D'Angelo.

11:46And Paige pins Saquon.

12:01Paige stole the tag to steal the match for himself, not for his team.
12:09And he's gonna have some explaining to do to the NXT champion, who now has Paige dead to rights.

12:22When it comes to targeting someone, Tony is no stranger to having a bullseye squarely on his back.
