Danny Dolinski thinks he’s still the best at what he does. Christoph Waltz sells that arrogance like it’s a second suit. The trouble is, his career is running on fumes, until “The Company” calls him back out into the field. Not because they miss him. Because they want him to train Wihlborg, a Gen Z assassin prodigy with an attitude and answers for everything.

The plan sounds clean: take out the top people at a rival criminal syndicate. The problem is, the job is just the bait. As Danny and Wihlborg get closer to the real mission, they realize their employer’s endgame is uglier. It’s not competition. It’s a full replacement of the old guard. And the company definitely didn’t bet on the chemistry between an old pro and a young genius.

Christoph Waltz spielt Danny Dolinski. Der Typ ist Profi, der glaubt auch nach Jahren noch an sich. Problem nur: Seine Firma hat offenbar Langeweile mit Personal und schiebt ihn ausgerechnet dann zurück ins Feld, als er schon innerlich auf „Ende“ steht. Ziel ist Wihlborg, ein Gen Z-Wunderkind unter den Attentätern. Klingt nach Buddy-Training. Ist aber eher ein Bossjob mit Midlife-Crash.

Danny soll mit dem Attitüden-Prodigy die Chefetage eines konkurrierenden Syndikats ausschalten und dabei das wahre Spiel der eigenen „Company“ aufdecken. Spoiler: Es geht nicht nur um Aufträge, sondern um eine komplette Übernahme. Und dann macht dieses ungleiche Duo ausgerechnet zusammen das, was man bei so einem Setup nie erwartet. Schnell. Unbequem.
