Pregnancy, but make it messy. Jenny is carrying a child with her boyfriend Bolle, and while that’s supposed to be the big, warm-life moment, it lands on her like another set of problems. Between run-ins with the justice system and the youth welfare office, their relationship is already strained. Add the fact that both of them are dealing with drug dependency, and “together” starts to look more like “stuck.”
Then they get assigned Marla, a family midwife. Jenny doesn’t exactly roll out the red carpet. Understandable, honestly. But Marla doesn’t come in with moral speeches or a clipboard personality. She refuses to treat Jenny like a case file. Instead, she keeps showing up with something more useful than judgment.
The result is a slow turn from avoidance to taking responsibility. For the baby. And for Jenny herself. Not uplifting in a fake way. Just human.

Schwangerschaft als Dauerstress. Jenny erwartet mit ihrem Freund Bolle ein Kind, klingt bei anderen nach Happy End. Bei ihr eher nach „Was ist, wenn ich das nicht schaffe?“. Justiz und Jugendamt haben schon Spuren hinterlassen, und zwischen den beiden läuft auch noch ziemlich viel schief, weil Drogenabhängigkeit das Paarverhalten auf Werkseinstellung „Chaos“ zurücksetzt.
Dann taucht Marla auf: eine Familienhebamme. Jenny ist erst mal auf Abwehrmodus, schließlich hat sie genug Leute erlebt, die nur bewerten statt helfen. Aber Marla urteilt nicht. Sie sieht Jenny als Person, nicht als Problemfall. Und langsam kippt das Ganze von Panik zu Vertrauen, bis Jenny sich ihren Ängsten stellt. Nicht romantisch. Eher ehrlich. Und genau deshalb lohnt sich Vena.
