Bangkok macht seinem Ruf keine Gefälligkeiten. Ein Rettungssanitäter will eigentlich nur helfen, stolpert dann aber in ein ganzes Unterwelt-Quartett aus Entführungen, Rivalen und “läuft schon“-Planung, die natürlich sofort knallt. Kaum ist klar, dass es um die gekidnappte Tochter eines Tycoons geht, wird aus dem Rettungsjob ein Katz-und-Maus-Spiel durch Straßen, Hinterhöfe und Orte, an denen man sich fragt, ob die Kameras überhaupt echt sind.
Die Action ist schnell, die Gefahr kommt von allen Seiten und das Ganze hat diesen leicht schiefen Charme: nicht immer perfekt, aber angenehm unverschämt. Wenn du Filme magst, in denen “Überleben” wörtlich genommen wird und die Hölle in Bangkok offenbar Nebenstraßen hat, bist du hier richtig. 5,9 auf IMDb ist kein Fluch. Eher ein Hinweis, dass man das Ganze mit dem richtigen Grinsen schauen sollte.
