Patrick (Sam Claflin) is a dad now. Which should, in theory, mean he’s got life under control. Sure. Then a sinister threat from his childhood crawls back into his life and refuses to leave when the lights come on. The movie keeps the pressure on him as he battles his deepest inner fear, and the stakes change in a very specific way. This time he’s not fighting for his pride. He’s fighting for his family.
The result is classic horror-father panic: tense rooms, bad decisions, and the constant feeling that the next step is going to be a mistake. And yes, the pacing and quality are… uneven. But if you’re here for straightforward dread and a lead performance that sells the terror without winking at the camera, „Bagman“ delivers more than enough to keep you watching.

Patrick (Sam Claflin) ist wieder Vater. Und leider auch wieder Opfer. Denn irgendwas aus seiner Kindheit taucht auf wie so ein Albtraum, der beim Aufwachen nicht verschwinden will. Der Haken. Diesmal geht es nicht ums „Oh nein, ich bin am Ende“. Sondern ums ganz profane Thema. Familie in Gefahr. Patrick versucht, seine tiefste Angst zu kontrollieren, während das Unheimliche immer näher kommt und man dabei erstaunlich oft denkt: Bitte mach das nicht, bitte lauf nicht direkt in die nächste Falle.
„Bagman“ ist kein fein dosiertes Meisterwerk, eher knallige Genre-Therapie mit Schockmomenten und jeder Menge angespannter Atempausen. Wenn du B-Movie-Spannung magst, die dich nicht fragt, ob du gerade bereit bist, bist du hier richtig.
