Meet Amber Kumar Gurung. He’s not chasing “inner peace” with a candle and a podcast mic. He’s an actual happiness agent, traveling through Bhutan’s remote Himalayan valleys to look at what people call happiness in real life. This is a documentary road movie, so yes, you get wide-open views and long stretches of road. But the real action is the kind of conversation that doesn’t feel scripted: listening, noticing, asking what fulfillment looks like when you’re not trying to sell it.

The film is surprisingly sharp for something that sounds so gentle. It doesn’t promise answers. It just puts the question in front of you, over and over, until you start thinking.

Er ist “Agent of Happiness” und fährt durch die entlegenen Täler des Himalayas in Bhutan, um herauszufinden, was Menschen dort wirklich glücklich macht. Klingt nach Wohlfühlauftrag, ist aber eher eine Mischung aus Feldforschung und ehrlicher Alltagsbegegnung: Gespräche, Beobachtungen, kleine Rituale. Zwischen atemberaubenden Landschaften wird klar, dass Glück selten nach Checkliste funktioniert. Es ist ein Roadmovie, das nicht nur Bergpanorama sammelt, sondern Fragen stellt. Und zwar ohne moralischen Zeigefinger. Bonus: Trotz der Ruhe gibt es erstaunlich viel Momentum.
