Got woken up multiple days during middle of the night or early morning by a buzzing/humming noise which seemed likely to be a muffled drilling noise coming from the attic where residents are not allowed! But property manager and their employee dismissed it claiming they checked and nothing is wrong and that it was possibly a wild animal (lmao) or a snow plow car driving by (without any doppler effect hilariously!)
Poor sleep quality added to consistently exacerbating quality of life in the apartment and lack of response from professors to help me decide what course combination to take up for Spring 2026 as well as uncertainty of employment future- all made me decide not to get trapped in the sunk cost fallacy. Hence now I am taking a semester break and stepping back to reevaluate if resuming the course is a financially wise decision especially given a 40k education loan in my name.
Cannot wait to have a thorough physical and mental checkup to be done to see what damage this one year of USA experience did to my existence!
