Marco Rubio has revoked the green cards of Hamideh Soleimani Afshar — niece of slain IRGC General Qasem Soleimani — and her daughter, having them arrested by ICE in Los Angeles and placed in custody pending deportation to Iran.
The two had been living lavishly in LA since receiving green cards in 2021 and 2023 respectively, all while openly celebrating attacks on American soldiers, praising Iran's new Supreme Leader and calling the US the "Great Satan" on social media.
Afshar's husband has additionally been barred from entering the US entirely. The move follows the recent deportation of another Iranian regime-linked individual, signaling a sweeping Trump administration crackdown on Iranian government supporters living on American soil.
