"Mike O'Grady, twenty-year-old Huddersfield winger and the fifth son of an Irishman, was the latest player tried at outside-left. He must have shaken the skeletons of his ancestors as he sank Northern Ireland with two goals. Jimmy Greaves, another player with deep Irish roots, also scored in a match that featured the debut at centre-half of Brian Labone."

00:04Northern Ireland, Dark Shirts at home to England at Windsor Park Belfast.
00:09It's the Irish who kick off, pushing the ball back to skipper Danny Blanchflower,
00:13and with a little luck they might draw first blood.
00:15But the luck doesn't seem to be forthcoming,
00:17and soon it's Danny's Tottenham colleague Jimmy Greaves pressing home and England attack.
00:25So England are one up, and the Windsor Park crowd see an Irish counter-attack.
00:29Plenty to keep goalie Ron Springett busy, but half-time comes and goes with no change in the score.
00:34And here's winger Michael Brady, England in spite of his name, setting up a chance.
00:42Irvin blocks it, and again it's over the line.
00:46Freddie Hills enters, it's headed, and England lose another chance.
00:52Ireland on the move again, and still more head work.
00:58No luck that time, but now from a goal-mouth scramble, the equaliser.
01:06England, stung by the fact that the goal bounced into the net off their own skipper, put on the pressure
01:10again.
01:13O'Grady moves inside for a shot. Irvin just fails to hold.
01:19So now England have restored their lead, and it's not long before the English new boy with the Irish name
01:25does it again.
01:27And that's it, 3-1. Hard luck Ireland, you deserve better than that.
