00:02oh wow oh my god families across Australia are drowning in clutter
00:13this is what we took out of your house all of them are desperate for help clutter is
00:22anything that gets between you and the life you want to live Peter Walsh frees them from the stuff
00:30holding them back while Cherie Barber renovates their homes in record time and Angie Kent brings
00:42much loved treasures back to life it gives me goosebumps oh that's so good
00:48oh wow it's the greatest oh my god transformation amazing of their lives
01:10Marg has been married to her high school sweetheart Chris for 30 years
01:15and they live together with their daughters Holly and Cassidy Mark's very artistic with painting or
01:22ceramics she's run marathons for charity and she's a very social person she'll go out every night of
01:28the week if she's got the chance to which is great because she's enjoying life and making the most of
01:32every minute and I love her for that but it's what's going on inside the family's home that's causing
01:42conflict but a lot of stuff everywhere it just feels all consuming it's coming down on top of you and
01:49it's frustrating everything you'll say it's my mum's stuff causes a lot of stress with everyone in the
01:55house yeah it's crazy I have obsessions like I collect jugs knickknacks there's craft supplies
02:05everywhere I just can't let things go and I can't let things go to waste so I'm always thinking I
02:13should be able to repurpose it because she says it's her house she thinks that it's okay to have
02:18everything out but I don't bring people over because it's embarrassing but she doesn't understand that we
02:26argue over a little spoon or a mug and I'll get upset I get emotional and then I give up
02:35because
02:35I just can't deal with it little arguments explode into big arguments that don't need to be an argument
02:40at all if everyone just accepted the clutter
02:53when one person in a household stops listening to everyone else's point of view resentment can
02:58quickly build and for mug her out of control collecting habit and blindness to the clutter
03:04is threatening her family's future oh hello so we're here there might be a little bit of clutter
03:16in this house a little bit just a little bit can we check it out absolutely please please come in
03:22oh whoa big giant skeleton that's indiana bones indiana bones there's so much stuff wow
03:38besides the skeleton who lives in the house me ma yeah me chris myself and holly and our other
03:45daughter Cassidy got it okay and our stuff yeah there's a lot going on pretty much every flat surface
03:53has something on it I'm guessing every cupboard then is whoa it's chockers so uh drawers as well maybe
04:03okay are you serious got six of everything
04:11chris what's the feeling it creates for you and it just becomes overwhelming and it's really busy
04:17polly what's your feeling about all of this I absolutely hate it
04:22really yeah is there much conflict about this with you and your mum yes really yeah perhaps it's your
04:32delivery feel that mood change mark why are we here we're here because apparently I have too much
04:39stuff and um yeah to me yeah it doesn't really bother me okay I also see this kind of a
04:49lounge dining
04:50area of you can we check that out sure okay let's go let's go walk you into this
04:56once again there's just a ton of stuff in here there is so so many trinkets but the thing that
05:04I'm
05:04most amazed at is the sheer volume of furniture I mean couches an extra dining table six cabinets
05:13yeah I mean wow it's mind-boggling I grew up in a family of five children and a single mum
05:24my dad passed away when I was two so I don't want to say poor but it was challenging my
05:31mum used to go
05:31to the op shop and it was like well that's a way of affording a bit more and that sort
05:36of introduced me
05:37to the idea of fossicking through other people's throw out so that's probably escalated the way I
05:44hold on to things Sheree what do you think well I'm thinking this is probably a 1930s bungalow house
05:51is that right yes but not this bit right not this bit definitely that sort of half of the house
05:57looks
05:57like that's that era I love the charm of this heritage home but the past extension has left a chaotic
06:04mismatch of surfaces and styles with ornate cornices clashing with exposed brick concrete
06:11shelves and different shades of timber so I need to give this a massive spruce up whilst respecting
06:16its beautiful 1930s features I'm curious what's with this cat rung thing here we have four cats and that
06:26is how they get up and get out into their cat pen so they don't get squished on the road
06:32and you want
06:32that to say yes please yeah so what else are we looking at there's another room at the front of
06:38the house why don't you to check this out why don't you to come with me let's go come on
06:42oh wish us luck
06:44good luck
06:50wow
06:55yeah it's a lot yeah this is the room of chaos
07:04there's this whole sense of well if we laugh it off we don't have to deal with it
07:10that's probably right but but yes and no you're getting upset yeah oh don't get upset it's just
07:18stuff but it's not just stuff and suddenly I scratch the surface yeah and this comes to the
07:25surface well we have a lot of arguments over it and it gets very emotional for me could this stuff
07:32end your marriage I don't know
07:41we've been going out since we're 15 years old I used to ride my bike from my school to hers
07:46every
07:47lunchtime and we love each other and we're there for each other but it's a battle each day the clutter
07:56um sorry um it's it feels like it can't relax because it's it's caving in on you and I still
08:05don't feel like that anymore
08:09feels like you're more invested in this than us and that's what the issue is with
08:13me is that how you feel absolutely okay I can tell you right now if you stay on this path
08:21this will destroy this family when you step into this house what do you want to feel I want to
08:29feel
08:29love comfort enjoyment and family okay what do you want to feel when you step into this house
08:37serenity okay then as we're working together when you look at any item you have to ask will it give
08:45me
08:45love comfort serenity family okay okay let's go grab anything you want let's go guys
08:59to deal with the clutter that's become a huge source of conflict within the family
09:04thousands of belongings have boxed up and removed from the home
09:10i think the next few days going to be a roller coaster mark's sort of thinking as a singular person
09:16not how it affected everyone else i'm feeling like me and my dad have the same views
09:21versus her so it could be a bit of trouble there
09:30coming up as the reno team uncover a nasty surprise
09:34that is really rotten facing the clutter triggers laughter from mark
09:39but brings holly and chris to the brink
09:47we get a box for games box for games
09:51peter's helping mark clear out her cluttered home
09:54after her love of op shopping spun out of control
09:57and is now threatening to tear her family apart
10:04it's really important that when you're packing up as many things as we are today
10:08keep like items together okay all the glasses together we'll get in the truck i'll grab some more stuff
10:21in the front room angie uncovers a hidden gem that was buried under the mess
10:28mug oh my gosh look at this isn't she beautiful oh my god i love her
10:35chris bought me this for my 21st birthday
10:38i actually don't know where he bought it from because it was a surprise
10:42how long do you reckon it's been in here
10:45it'd be 20 plus years
10:47i don't think my children have actually had the pleasure of seeing this
10:51ever seen okay yeah while mark doesn't know the origin of this gorgeous art deco treasure
10:56and thinks it no longer works i reckon it could be a pretty rare find
11:01so i want to get it valued by an expert i know and see if we can get it working
11:05again
11:10with the last room emptied of possessions everything's transported in loaded up vans and trucks
11:17to a nearby warehouse where it's all unpacked and laid out into categories so the huge task of
11:24decluttering can begin the amount of stuff we're dealing with is enormous and by her own admission
11:31it pretty much all belongs to mark and while she laughs it off it's clear her family are at
11:37breaking point with her marriage to chris on the line so to bring harmony back into their lives i need
11:44mark to face up to the difficult challenge ahead on the count of three i want you to open your
11:50eyes
11:50and have a look at the clutter that came out of your home one two three open your eyes
12:05oh my god that's a lot my heart's racing really to see it in one space is just it's a
12:16lot it's a lot
12:19let me show you what's here okay here we go
12:24in front of you are tables and boxes of glassware kitchenware platters plates i think we had that
12:33much glassware there's crafting supplies a ton of furniture we have seven racks and five tables
12:41of clothes bags of clothes bags and hats it's cheaper and here more than 200 pairs of shoes
12:54no and that's not all over here on the wall of wonder we have more than 180 candles
13:02i knew almost 70 vases oh no and here right in front of you we have 75 jugs that's crazy
13:17this took 350 bins boxes bags and totes to get from your house to here in the hall
13:30this is overwhelming yeah it's too much it's absolutely too much i'm thinking i must find
13:37comfort in stuff that's a great insight straight away yeah can you help us understand that a little
13:44bit i'm not really sure i think i get a momentary buzz when i find something i like yeah and
13:49then i
13:49bring it home and then i see another one that i like and another and another and it's not till
13:54they're
13:54like that i can see yeah there's probably maybe one to me even in the house it looked you know
14:02everything was piled on each other and i find it crazy how you thought that was normal
14:07i think view mark we need to reframe what is normal yeah
14:13to move back into the house that you want at least 70 of this has to go
14:20okay let's get started come with me let's go come on decluttering is one part of the process
14:28the other is back at the house where sheree and her team are getting started on the ambitious
14:34two-day renovation to transform the kitchen dining room living room and front room into functional
14:43spaces for the whole family first up sheree's tackling the kitchen's mismatched surfaces
14:51while we're protecting the timber floors which are in great condition i need to unify the kitchen's
14:56inconsistent style the pantry door had been covered with a chalkboard and the cupboard next to it had
15:02daggy pattern fabric but by ripping them off we've uncovered these gorgeous art deco style windows
15:10that really complement the home's heritage features but not everything in the kitchen has aged well
15:18with the removal of the old sink exposing a problem with the timber bench top
15:25god that is really rotten it's definitely been leaking yeah so if we can rip that out and replace it
15:31with a new one yep the biggest issue is you have to get that out without smashing those tiles because
15:37i'm using those as my color inspiration for the whole property yeah um we will try your best try our
15:44best to make sure we don't do any damage whatsoever all right if that's charles crack i'm running
15:53oh keep that that can go good good good marg chris and holly are now sorting through the clutter
16:01that was jamming up the front room of their home this is like breaking apart okay get rid of that
16:09just
16:09be quiet and why are you telling me to be quiet you're making me upset things have already gotten
16:15off to a rocky start with marg clearly used to getting her own way okay mama said to keep that
16:21why it's for my embroidery you might do you avoid stop it i do as soon as anyone dares question
16:29why
16:30she's keeping stuff mark's defenses come straight up sewing machine yes needed but to be honest i've
16:37never seen you when i've had stuff to fix you brought that out i've done that and used that
16:45all right donate it but it just means i'll have to buy a new one okay so having a sewing
16:52machine and
16:53sewing is a great idea yeah but the thing is you're never going to use this okay and i can
17:01tell this is
17:02the argument you guys get into all the time it no longer becomes about the sewing it becomes about who's
17:09going to win and who's going to lose yeah agree yeah you win usually don't you yeah and the losers
17:16end up walking on eggshells getting angry and feeling resentment it's exactly what i never thought
17:23of about like that yeah same just losing and just giving up and saying well and then he'll walk off
17:29yeah we walk away and we become blind to it again but then the resentment builds look at the two
17:34of them
17:37right now yep okay all right it's not about the stuff okay is this staying or going no i can
17:44go great
17:45okay good good good let's move down here go that can go what about these thank you this is can
17:55go
17:56mark is now making some progress but we've barely scratched the surface of the clutter or her family's
18:03resentment i need more convincing before i can believe she's made meaningful change
18:10there's one two three four a dozen boxes off to donation more to do let's go come with me
18:16coming up as the reno pushes forward i don't need any of this chris pushes back
18:25don't look at me like that i'm just telling you what i feel
18:31at chris and marg's house it's time to see if the old kitchen bench top will come out without
18:37damaging the splashback tiles all right bench top's loose
18:43oh it's popped out no tile broken thank goodness as buying new tiles would have never matched the
18:50originals but of course my troubles don't stop there there was an old telephone plate yep i asked
18:57the electricians to terminate them but we've now got big whopping holes so i found one white and one
19:05yellow tile in the garage would you believe it we need to try and get them out without smashing all
19:10those other tiles oh it's gonna be tricky let's give it a crack no we're not going to give it
19:17a crack
19:24meanwhile the team begin transforming the far end of the kitchen
19:29this area was a dumping ground for marg's clutter with impractical storage stacked one in front of the
19:35other so we're installing new overhead cupboards and low shelving to provide modern accessible storage
19:43while adding new bench tops we'll turn this into the ultimate art and craft zone for marg to express
19:48her creativity oh shrie yeah the tiles out oh my god good man we got him out with the second
19:57damaged
19:57tile also removed and the spares fitted into place new bench tops can be installed
20:05a new sink plumbed in and the cabinet doors painted but to tackle the chaos that was hiding behind them
20:12shrie has called in an expert i've put the first coat of paint on the kitchen cabinets but what i
20:18would
20:18love you to do is to fix the internals make them more space efficient okay all right i'll leave it
20:24with you
20:26clear containers to see contents and integrated storage to maximize cupboard space should make sure the
20:33family never has trouble finding things again
20:42stay or go stay the table wait no we don't need to go
20:48marg and chris are now trying to reduce the excess christmas decorations that were buried in their
20:54cluttered front room that's a costume can i keep that we don't need we're not going to wear wings or
20:58anything
20:59can i keep joy don't don't need it i don't i don't need it i don't need any of this
21:04okay i'm letting
21:05them go to make space in my house no but but it's not your house okay it's not listen don't
21:12say okay
21:13i understand it's not your house yeah it's our house house yeah mark's desire to always be the
21:19winner in her household means letting anything go needs to be on her terms look handle we've got 5 000
21:26of those so we've got a hundred hundreds of things to go through we don't need that i'm not
21:31i'm not going to stop on this explaining to you i need you to listen please thank you
21:36but it seems that after years of chris holding in his feelings they're now spilling out and he's
21:41going to the other extreme pat fine birds we're not going to hang them up anywhere they're sorry
21:47don't look at me like that i'm just telling you what i feel it's your delivery again it's everything
21:51is no no no no no take a pause so far chris all of this is going yep three bins
22:00are being kept
22:01okay so progress is being made good it's a pendulum and you guys are finding new ground
22:09okay do you love this woman absolutely do you love this man mostly okay
22:15do you see you did it again no no yes i do love him okay you've got it i don't
22:19want to joke he's
22:20got to ease up a little bit because okay yeah i will okay you can cut the tension between these
22:27two
22:27with a knife this is my recycling addiction of reusing everything that can go it's going to take time for
22:36the balance in this 30-year marriage to even out but i feel they've already gained some common ground
22:42good good well done great job good job we started with these tables completely covered
22:51you are now keeping four bins for yourself and nine bins going off to donation good work well
22:59done yeah well done we've got lots more to do deep breath good job yeah you're ready to keep going
23:05yep let's roll good job back at the house gold striped wallpaper is being put up in the dining room
23:14to complement the kitchen splashback the mismatched oversized cabinets and tiny table made for a poor
23:21dining experience so we're luxing up this space with modern cabinets that'll form a feature wall
23:27elegant lighting above new artwork and the larger table that i've ordered next sheree shifts her
23:35attention to the once dark and crowded living room starting with the tv nook this built-in unit was
23:42visually messy with the tv crammed in the middle surrounded by cabinetry and clutter
23:49so we're simplifying it by pulling out the drawers and side shelves and i've also come up with a neat
23:55solution to replace the ugly tower the family's cats climbed up to reach the flap at the top of the
24:01window that leads to their outdoor enclosure so we put a rung maybe here and then here here and they
24:09get
24:09out the window yeah paint them up it'll come up nice as the cat steps are being built the timber
24:18trims throughout the open plan living dining and kitchen are painted a crisp white along with the
24:25ornate cornices and exposed brickwork to tie everything together we're also using the same
24:32wallpaper behind the tv as we did in the dining room this will dictate what color paint i use on
24:37the walls
24:38so what i want to do is i want to get the wall paint that tonally matches with the gold
24:43stripe
24:43now i've identified that color is taubman's new buck
24:57coming up angie discovers the origin of marg's treasure this model is quite rare wow while at the sort
25:05family tempers flare you don't wear those i've never seen you wear them
25:14there's over 800 items of clothing here that's wild yeah that's like a shop back at the warehouse
25:23marg's youngest daughter cassidy has arrived to help sort through her mum's mountain of clothes
25:36the sheer volume of clothes marg has amassed through a lifetime of op shop bargain hunting
25:41is staggering and while she's resisted help from her family so far i'm hoping her daughter's honest
25:48opinions will get through their mum's defenses see these to me mum they all look the same they all look
25:55you don't need all of them please try and get rid of someone no no why don't tell her to
25:59just be
26:00quiet okay things are already a little tense but while clothes can be personal this is marg's chance
26:07to see her family as part of the solution not the problem mum you don't wear those i've never seen
26:16you
26:16wear them and there's a stain on them let me ask you a question do you feel ganged up on
26:22a little bit okay
26:23then let's talk about it because for you this is security yeah it is i think yeah yeah definitely
26:31not see and for them it's frustration and anger half of this i never see how wet at all but
26:38i have
26:38worn it and i will wear it so you've got to let me say no i do wear that you
26:43say i've worn it what i
26:46actually hear is i want to keep it okay it's fair that if you want to keep it that's your
26:53decision
26:53however they just don't want you living in this anymore you always say you lose clothes and then
27:02look it's all here you know i have a big saying that if you can't find it you don't own
27:07it that's
27:07the bottom line yeah i understand so all of this discussion comes from a place of love let's go
27:13you're doing an incredibly good job what about this is this to go that's the key these can go
27:19good i wear these though okay it feels much more collaborative good mugs finally letting go of more
27:26things i don't wear it and little by little yeah that can go i can see her walls coming down
27:31too
27:33we're down to two racks one table you're keeping and 23 boxes wow clothes going off to donation
27:45we've got lots more to go through come with me let's go across town angie's track down hi-fi
27:53specialist philip to see if the vintage radio she found amongst mugs clutter can be revived
28:00she probably hasn't used it in about 20 years it may turn on briefly but it will be well in
28:08need
28:08of having amplified rebuilt so what year was this made 1937 made in australia okay what we would call
28:16a low boy so not a mantle radio but floor standing i would say this particular model is quite rare
28:22wow
28:23this would have been before television yeah everyone would have been sitting around this listening to
28:28radio serials second world war they would have all been listening to the news absolutely central to
28:35the family being informed and entertained how much was this worth back in its prime of life
28:41around 30 pounds okay and what about now in this condition unrestored 250 dollars okay the most
28:51interesting thing to do with this is to turn it into world's most beautiful bluetooth speaker oh that
28:57is perfect restoring and modernizing this gem to stream music through the speaker won't spoil the
29:03beautiful art deco exterior and while chris and marg can listen to the radio again holly and cassidy can
29:09enjoy their own music too it'll be a great surprise for the whole family all right so i'm gonna leave
29:15this
29:16with you glad you know how we got thank you mom these are really different and they're different
29:24no no they go with the bowls and set that's just trust me i'm being really good holly hang on
29:28but
29:28wait let's stop for a sec at the warehouse mark has managed to reduce her huge china collection
29:35but is hesitating about the last few items that were bought when holly was little but never used
29:41you want to keep these they're cute yeah agree but how will they be used are they important to
29:48you i think that's why i brought it up so you're keeping these for her or for you i was
29:52keeping them
29:52for me for her but she doesn't want them if marg is ever going to truly break her collecting habit
29:58she needs to stop holding onto items she's never used family harmony is way more important so
30:06it's time to let it go what are these these are just balls say it what are they just balls
30:13just
30:13balls take one here on the concrete oh no okay do it do it okay what are they just what
30:22are they just
30:23what are they just balls just balls they're just balls yeah smashing china may seem extreme but it's
30:31just the circuit breaker marg needs before embarking on her biggest challenge yet over 300 jugs vases
30:38and candles get the rabbit that we had all the coffee pods in good out of this do you want
30:45to choose
30:45a nice set because i like the squares you can keep which one i'll let the squares nice job do
30:52you want
30:52to keep yeah yeah good keep that that's about your mom for me at last these guys are working together
31:00picking things to go back into their house and it's great to see mark has stopped laughing off her
31:06family's concerns and is seeing things from their perspective which one holly which one help me i
31:11think you've got a lot of the big i like the red i like the red things yeah the tighter
31:15actually
31:17it's a group pick as well okay well done look at this this is a table of treasures
31:26there's lots of beautiful things in the world yes and i can't have them all yeah chris what are you
31:32thinking i normally i don't like any of this stuff and i'm i really like what she's picked holly what
31:37are you thinking i'm so happy that that like we didn't argue at all during that it's collaborative
31:43which means they're committed to these rather than annoyed or overwhelmed every time they see
31:50these happy seeing it at home yes what yes absolutely let's go come on more to do
32:03at the renovation rubbish is being cleared from the backyard
32:10while inside there's still so much left to do
32:15with everyone racing to meet the looming deadline
32:19but the most pressing job is to overhaul the front room which had been overrun with so much clutter
32:26it was unusable i want to transform this space into a sitting room chris and mark's daughters can
32:32relax in and have all to themselves so to give it a fresh feel i brought these lime green cabinets
32:38that'll really pop against the lemon wallpaper we're putting up at one end of the room and we're
32:43painting the other walls the same shade of gold as the rest of the house
32:49this room also has some old doors that are no longer being used as they connect to a bedroom that
32:54has a second entrance so we're covering them up with curtains and while a matching set are being added

33:59is there a desire to keep this definitely not done better help me realize it's just not me in the
34:05house i always think i like that i'll get that whereas now i might reflect and think that someone
34:11else might not like that or check if it's something i'm buying because i aspire to use it when am

37:31chris marg cassidy and holly are about to see their renovated home i'm so excited to go inside and see
37:39our new house and our new beginnings together it's been a bit of a roller coaster and we've done a
37:44lot of
37:45learning and it's been great to reconnect with my wife i'm very nervous but very excited to see
37:51what's been done in the house mark chris holly cass remember when we first came into this space
37:59it was such a hodgepodge of furniture and let's just say there was a lot of clutter in this space
38:07on the count of three i want you to open your eyes and check out your brand new living room
38:12one two
38:14three open your eyes oh my god
38:26oh my god
38:34the once crowded dark and drab living room
38:39is now an open relaxing space brought to life with sheree's striking gold color scheme
38:48that's fabulous thank you it's not embarrassing anymore
38:55so what we did first of all is we reimagined just this whole tv nook area it was so cluttered
39:02before
39:02you didn't know where to look so we simplified it you'll notice that you've got new furniture
39:07so nice we've completely painted throughout so it all feels cohesive in the space we took out all the
39:15halogens we've now got these beautiful dimmable led lights you've got these beautiful curtains
39:21that provide privacy but they let light through that's just stunning but there's one other little
39:27surprise remember that big ugly cat tower that you have got rid of that and built you a new cat
39:35run
39:36so they hop up up up up poke their head up and out out the door it's got anti-slip
39:43matting on it so
39:43they won't fall off i love that i think you're a miracle worker and what do we think of the
39:49beautiful
39:50dining room that's amazing that is crazy the dining room was a chaotic clutter of cabinets and trinkets
39:58with the family crammed around a small table at meal times
40:06it's incredible i love it oh it's so beautiful
40:17it's now been given a stylish makeover with room for everyone to enjoy meals together
40:24so i actually got you an oversized dining table it very comfortably fits six people it's amazing
40:32you had a lot of stuff before and i know you've got less stuff now but storage is still important
40:38so
40:38you can see that we've got double bookcases through there we've got the underbench storage
40:42and we've got the beautiful artwork it's just amazing it's just perfect it's beyond our vision
40:51perfect it's something that i could never even imagine thank you before this i felt like it was a
41:00nightmare now a dream has come true you know it's like amazing that's high praise yeah cas i can
41:08finally have friends over now not feeling embarrassed that's lovely want to check out
41:12the kitchen definitely let's have a look no way the kitchen's bench top was rotting and the mismatched
41:23surfaces were an eyesore while the cupboards and drawers were bursting with clutter
41:32oh my gosh where am i is this our house
41:44it's now a fresh harmonious and organized space where meal prep can be stress-free
41:52color's beautiful
41:55i wanted to make the whole space feel cohesive because sometimes less is more i worked with the
42:01yellow tiles they were my color inspiration for the whole property myself the gray army and the
42:06gray care team continued the color all the way through we've installed a new bench top new sink
42:11new sink tap we've installed new lighting you'll notice that the chalkboard is gone from the doors which
42:18revealed some beautiful glass windows behind those so you've got a brand new chalkboard over there
42:23amazing and it's not just what you see on the outside it's also
42:32consider the back of the cupboard and all of these drawers were completely chockers so we've simplified
42:39and you've got these draw organizers are we wow and because the pantry was on the other side
42:46why not bring the things you use most often
42:50that's amazing i love it that's amazing it's amazing
42:56one of the big things here also was about your creativity take a few steps this way we've got
43:02something else to show you marg's excess op shop finds and an imposing halloween decoration had taken
43:09over the far end of the kitchen it's now been turned into a dedicated art space for marg to get
43:19creative
43:20with her painting and embroidery i love it this space we always found hard a lot of room to grow
43:27here
43:27as well it's just incredible
43:32the front room was so jam-packed with stuff you could barely step foot in the door
43:44that's insane this is crazy
43:52it's so nice oh my god the wallpaper
43:55i love it
44:02sheree's transformed it into a calming retreat to suit holly and cassidy
44:06while still respecting the home's art deco heritage
44:10it's beautiful wow will you hang out here not in your room yeah oh my lord i love it love
44:18it
44:21so i wanted to make it fun so i first of all and saw this beautiful wallpaper got the beautiful
44:28window furnishings here the old doorway what that was there actually created a window curtain wall
44:34so at any time you can just pull that across if you ever want to change this room in the
44:38future
44:39this is so nice oh wow and mug huh look what's back
44:46wow my baby after discovering the vintage radio buried under clutter
44:51angie had the aging amplifier rebuilt and added a modern twist so marg's whole family can enjoy it
44:58look at what it can do now you can just whip out your phone and
45:06oh hell
45:08oh oh party time really cool wow wow so now you can connect your phone through the bluetooth
45:16push a button comes through you can still listen to your am though too so don't you worry about that
45:22it gets a second chance at life in this new space and the girls can have a little party if
45:27you want to
45:27it's awesome it's incredible
45:31i can't believe it and i can't stop smiling it feels like a dream come true just opening the eyes
45:39and i thought i'm in the wrong place but it's just amazing it feels like a home now
45:45i didn't know i could have a house that looked this beautiful i don't need stuff i just need my
45:51family
45:56marg's clutter blindness strained her marriage and caused deep resentment in the household but her
46:02willingness to change and embrace other views has not only helped create a beautiful relaxing home for
46:09the whole family it's brought them closer together than ever before
