00:00Both the Yankees and the Dodgers, the two favorites to meet in the World Series this year, lost last night.
00:07How do we approach these two teams following their first loss of the season?
00:11In my opinion, only one of the two is bet on this evening.
00:16Let's talk about it.
00:17Teddy Covers, WhereYourTalk.com, with this double gamer, West Coast style,
00:21with a pair of MLB selections for Tuesday night.
00:26Now let's start by looking at the OddsLogic Live Odds screen,
00:30and we'll talk about the Yankees and the Mariners.
00:33Right now, I'm seeing pretty close to pick-em here.
00:37You know, a couple spots, the Yankees are minus 110 to even money,
00:41but it's like 105-105, 106-104, 110-110.
00:46Very close to pick-em price for this ballgame.
00:49Total sitting seven, juiced to the under.
00:53And certainly, when we talk about what these two teams have done so far this season,
00:58well, the under makes a whole lot of sense.
01:00But, as you know, I talked about it yesterday with my MLB free play videos.
01:05I'm not a guy, especially around the season, but really throughout the course of the campaign,
01:09I'm not going to be the guy that handicaps the starting pitching with a fine-tooth comb.
01:15Oh, this guy matches up really well with this lineup and that and the other.
01:19I haven't found that to work.
01:20What I found that works for me in MLB is I find teams in various roles and I look to
01:28back them.
01:29I want to ride streaks, etc., etc.
01:32And what are the New York Yankees right now?
01:34Well, the Yankees are A, bet on.
01:36And B, they're a dead nuts under team.
01:39Okay, we've seen extremely good starting pitching from the Bronx Bombers so far.
01:45and the bullpen behind them is rested and ready and talented.
01:49That, you know, good pitching begets more good pitching.
01:53So, pick-up price range total here is seven.
01:56We got Max Freed on the hill.
01:57Freed is an ace, legitimately so.
02:00Brilliant in his debut this season in San Francisco.
02:03Bullpen behind him, rested and ready.
02:05And it's not like the Yankees and the Mariners have been playing all these high-scoring affairs in Seattle.
02:11Look at the final scores.
02:12This dates back to 2024 of the games between the Yankees and the Mariners in Seattle.
02:17We had 2-1 last night.
02:19We had 3-2, 2-1.
02:21There was one slugfest in May 25, 11-5.
02:24Before that, 3-2, 2-1.
02:27So, the last six meetings between these two teams on this field,
02:31five of them have finished with a final score of either 3-2 or 2-1.
02:36We have two aces going today.
02:38All right.
02:39And when we talk about these two lineups, obviously the Yankees and the West Coast,
02:42where the scoring is deflated.
02:45A lot of they scored runs in bunches.
02:461-3-3.
02:48They got seven in the opener against Webb.
02:49I watched it.
02:50They had more weak contact.
02:53You know, seeing-eye singles.
02:55A whole bunch of them in that ballgame.
02:56And this is not a Yankees lineup clicking on all cylinders.
02:59Logan Gilbert is certainly bet on.
03:01And Seattle's bullpen behind Gilbert is bet on.
03:05We look at the other side of the equation.
03:06It's not like the Mariners have come out of the gate hitting.
03:08Yeah, they had an eight-run outburst against Cleveland the other night.
03:10But that's been the exception rather than the rule.
03:13Their bullpen, too, in good shape.
03:15And certainly, you know, Castillo pitched a gem yesterday.
03:18Cancock pitched a gem the day before with a shutout.
03:21So, it's certainly a scenario where the bullpen's in good shape for Seattle.
03:26I wouldn't argue with the first five under in this ballgame if you have bullpen concerns,
03:30if you're worried about these lineups getting going late.
03:32But the bottom line for me, again, we ride these streaks.
03:36What's going on right now?
03:38Yankees trending under in a big way in early season fashion.
03:42The next over they cash will be the first over they cash this season.
03:44I like New York, Seattle, under seven.
03:49That's the prevailing current number.
03:51Looking at that odds logic, live odds screen.
03:55One more game to talk about.
03:56The Dodgers and the Guardians.
03:59Guardians off a win last night in L.A.
04:02The fifth starter shut down the Dodgers' bats.
04:04That could be a concern moving forward.

04:57Talk about Cleveland and L.A.
04:59So, I said both these two teams lost last night.
05:01I'm only looking to back one of them tonight.
05:03Well, I talked about how I don't necessarily love the Yankees in that pick-em-price rate
05:07to have the under in that ballgame.
05:09So, that leaves the Dodgers as the team to bet on in this one.
05:14And I'm not going to recommend a run-line play for the Dodgers.
05:17They may win this game by multiple runs.
05:19I get it, you know.
05:20But, the bullpen got beat up a little bit last night.
05:22And they haven't been winning games by margin so far this season.
05:26One-run decisions for L.A. in early season play.
05:30And when you have a team that's a one-run decision team, that's not a run-line team.
05:36I mean, just look at it.
05:36You know, the Dodgers so far win 3-2 and 5-4 in two of their last three ballgames.
05:42And obviously, we remember back to last October, they're a really good team at eking out tight
05:48wins.
05:49That's one of the reasons the Dodgers are the best team in baseball.
05:51Because of how good they are in high leverage at-bats.
05:54and how good the bullpen has been in shutting down opposing hurlers.
05:59So, if I'm going to play this game, I'll lay 250-260 with L.A.
06:03As opposed to trying to sneak in a play on the run-line here with the Dodgers' lineup.
06:07Again, five runs, three runs, two runs.
06:10You know, it was real easy on opening day for L.A. against Gallen and the D-backs' bullpen
06:15behind them.
06:15since then, lineup scuffling a little bit.
06:19And they're going up against it.
06:21You know, BB's no ace, all right, for Cleveland.
06:25But, one thing Cleveland has done so consistently in recent years, they've hung around in these
06:31games, you know.
06:32They've found ways to stay in ballgames.
06:35Their bullpen's been very, very good.
06:36So, for the Dodgers, for me, again, minus 250, minus 260, minus 275.

07:48I don't like them here against a Dodgers team off their first loss of the season.
07:52Not with Otani on the hill.
07:54So, if I'm playing, I'll lay the big price with L.A.
07:59And, again, I understand something you want on the run line.
08:00I wouldn't argue.
08:01It's not my bet for this one.
08:03You know, I found that, you know, the run line helps you most when your team loses.
08:08So, you don't have to pay as much.
08:10I don't think the Dodgers lose here.
08:12So, L.A. or pass for Dodgers, Guardians, Yankees, and Mariners under are the two plays for this video.
