The Indian School of Public Policy continues its Public Policy Conversations: Northeast webinar series, exploring region-specific policy perspectives that shape India’s growth story.

In this session, we discuss “Building Peace Through Education and Community Partnerships: Lessons from the Northeast” with Christopher Rego, Founder & Trustee of Sunbird Trust.

Drawing from more than three decades of service in the Indian Army and his work in conflict-affected regions such as Mizoram and Manipur, Col. Rego shares a practitioner’s perspective on how education, community trust, and grassroots partnerships can contribute to sustainable peacebuilding. Through Sunbird Trust, his work has supported the education of thousands of children while fostering stronger connections across communities in the Northeast.

Watch the full video to hear insights on education-led peacebuilding, community partnerships, and the policy lessons emerging from the region.
