00:00Why is a fake Euronews website targeting Hungary's election with pro-Kremlin propaganda?
00:09Using the same branding, logo, layout and style as us, this website, which looks just like Euronews,
00:15shared an article about Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar.
00:18It claims that Magyar had insulted Donald Trump by calling him a senile grandpa.
00:23Allegedly, he also promised to undo key agreements with the US if he wins the Hungarian parliamentary elections.
00:30On March 22nd, speaking at a campaign event in Nagy Konezza, Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar sharply attacked US President

01:13It's typically active around major political events such as elections.
01:17Storm 1516 was already found to be behind false claims spread in other elections like the 2024 US presidential vote
01:25and the 2025 German elections.
01:27This time around, Hungary's highly polarized parliamentary elections, scheduled for April 12th, will see Magyar challenge Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
01:35The campaign has already been marked by allegations of interference and manipulation,
01:39while Orban's government has recently been accused of handling sensitive information from Brussels to Moscow.
