00:04Every single day I step into the office, it feels like I'm in a sci-fi movie.
00:08When you walk in the office, you have bots walking around autonomously.
00:11You come in the lab, you have bots doing laundry.
00:13Working on Optimus has shown me how much progress is possible
00:16when we're all working towards a common goal.
00:18A lot of the engineers here are exceptionally ready to get lost in the engineering.
00:26It's super exciting to come into work with all these capable people
00:29to develop a product that's going to change the world.
00:32I think Optimus is pretty uniquely positioned in the fact that we care equally about design and manufacturing.
00:37We're solving manufacturing problems that haven't been solved before at the scale that Tesla operates at.
00:43I feel like I'm surrounded by people who are extremely passionate about what they do
00:46and they're really willing to do whatever it takes in order to get the job done.
00:49I feel like I'm empowered to take a design from start to end.
00:54And here at Tesla, if the solution you're looking for does not exist, you do have to build it.
00:59So here at this facility, you can expect to be involved in working on gear manufacturing equipment,
01:04turning equipment, as well as getting your hands dirty, assembling your boxes that you've designed.
01:09I have a focus on distribution harnesses.
01:13They're difficult to automate and scale.
01:15A lot of the work here is trying to figure out new technologies that replace harnesses.
01:21You would be doing more component level development.
01:24I work on the design and manufacturing of Optimus' hands.
01:27And I work on all the external structures that you see on the bot right here.
01:31I work on the PCBAs on the robots.
01:33We are designing high-power inverters in a very small form factor.
01:37As we iterate on our robot design and go into Gen 3 and into mass production,
01:41we are getting very close to the human functionality and form factor.
01:45It won't even look like a robot. It'll look like a human in a superhero suit.
01:49I think the end goal is going to be something revolutionary.
01:53It feels like the extreme sports of engineering.
01:57We are using Pounder General veddaging for Net-ika Ca!,
01:59I believe that was the best PERMAN.
02:00It feels like a robot vehicle in a lot of the sontiren,
02:00when it is steep or what we are doing.
02:00We are doing this effort,
02:01Mhm everybody!
