00:03:18it's it's the 20th year since our own uh mr. Campbell here was the first winner of the apprentice
00:03:27he never made me any money but um now a lot of changed in the past 20 years i mean
00:03:36there's been
00:03:37financial crashes and pandemics not to mention liz trusts um but there's been two constant positives one is
00:03:46this process and the other is the arsenal never won the league
00:03:52um now 20 years ago there was a statement that i made
00:03:59i don't like liars i don't like cheats i don't like bullshitters and i don't like schmoozers
00:04:07still remains the same other than that i'm quite a nice bloke
00:04:12yeah right now just because we've been doing this for a while
00:04:16uh it doesn't mean you know what's coming next let me tell you you don't
00:04:30yes or sugar yeah you've got i think two other people waiting out there that is correct good
00:04:35bring them in thank you
00:04:46so 20 of you now right little extra competition just got tougher yeah
00:04:54but eventually after 12 weeks one of you is going to get 250 000 pounds investment
00:05:02and my 60 years of business experience and i have done everything i've sat on a production line
00:05:11i've packed boxes i've delivered out of my van i've negotiated with banks and that is something
00:05:19that money can't buy right well i'm going to look at your cvs now

00:05:56sugar we did seven years good good now georgina hello georgina so i'm currently an events manager
00:06:02but i trained in musical theatre so i'm a quadruple threat so i sing dance act and i do business
00:06:10and i would love for you and i to open up a production company specializing in pantomime why can't it
00:06:16be
00:06:16sunshine and rainbows well it can be if your business deals in uh solar energy i suppose yeah
00:06:24good all right priesh oh hello sugar you are an accounts manager at uh price walter house is that
00:06:30right yeah correct and i also have my um cocktail bar business cocktails yeah and you're an accounts
00:06:36manager yeah exactly it's a creative and financial what's one of your one of your drinks is tax on the
00:06:41beach um now then daniel or dan uh dan's great thanks what is your business yeah so i set the
00:06:51company up when i was 17 didn't really want to go to uni and i felt there was a big
00:06:55gap in the market to
00:06:56help students find apprenticeships once you make your first million which is what i did at 25
00:07:03oh it becomes easier to make your next that you've made a million have you that turned over a million
00:07:10yeah turned over yeah oh right you do know that turnover is slightly different to actually making
00:07:17the money yeah i see uh andrea hello now you're a letting agent is that right that's right it's my
00:07:24own
00:07:24company i manage 250 properties across the south yorkshire region and then this is an unusual thing
00:07:30you got a degree in midwifery is that right registered midwife and i delivered my grandson
00:07:39let's hope you deliver on these tasks then shall we yeah okay right enough chit chat it's time to get
00:07:47down to business i'm kicking things off by sending you to one of the world's most vibrant trading hubs
00:07:55hong kong oh my goodness what now hong kong i've been there at least 40 times
00:08:09my business was started from hong kong and so for this task you have to go and find nine items
00:08:17oh wow now i'm keeping things simple the teams will be boys versus girls the team that spends the
00:08:26least amount of money to secure the nine items wins and on the losing team at least one of you
00:08:33will be
00:08:34fired so good luck to you all and uh i'll see you in a few days time off you go
00:08:40thank you thank you so
00:08:41much hong kong starting point for both teams kowloon on the mainland
00:08:54before them a city scattered over more than 200 islands where modern finance meets ancient tradition
00:09:06how's everyone feeling good excited first thing to pin down so who wants to put themselves forward
00:09:12for project i'll put myself forward so we've got kieran a project manager i'm an estate agent so you
00:09:18know i deal with people buying all the time so i deal with a lot of um international investors on
00:09:22a
00:09:22weekly basis so i just feel like i'm probably best suited i don't mind putting yeah i don't have
00:09:27any much experience in selling i can read a map i'm confident i know what i'm doing let's get it
00:09:34done everyone we hand up for kieran as pm yeah okay brilliant nice there's huge pressure if we fail
00:09:43i feel like it's all on me and i could be going home on the first week which wasn't the
00:09:47plan right but
00:09:48they've got the best man for the job we're gonna get the win upstairs do you know what i would
00:09:54actually
00:09:54really love to put myself forward for project manager if anybody agrees with me auditioning for
00:09:58the role of leader i feel like i've got the skills to keep everybody motivated on task feeling positive
00:10:03trained actress georgie so yeah if everybody feels confident what about your geography skills
00:10:12the main thing that we need to do today is work together because none of us are in competition right
00:10:15now but i don't know my way around no does anyone else want to put themselves forward i want to
00:10:20put myself
00:10:20forward also i'm in sales i'm good at negotiating so i think i can lead this team to a win
00:10:25fantastic
00:10:25cool one in favor of nikki put your hand up so i guess that's settled okay georgie you can be
00:10:31sub
00:10:31team leader i would love to i made it i am sub team leader today i'm delighted to be in
00:10:37charge
00:10:38of a group of people and i'm just grateful that i've been given that trust and that commitment from
00:10:42the group at this stage both teams have maps local directories and a list of nine items shrimp paste
00:10:51spec 10 times 300 gram brick we'll get that that's definitely that's happening at the fishing market
00:10:58including a mahjong set hand painted it's like tiny little blocks like dominoes oh yes it looks just
00:11:04like dominoes yeah and baby corn specification for katie picked today baby corn there's agriculture in the
00:11:11north of the mainland yeah pick today if you want to pick today that's where the farms are next we
00:11:16have chinese calligraphy brush it's for chinese writing it's yes calligraphy dragon boat head guys
00:11:23i know exactly what this is i've done dragon boat racing before they're made out of wood uh they
00:11:27basically stick on the very front of the boat next a golden pineapple spec paper you know you've got a
00:11:33lot of like chinese lanterns and stuff made out of paper maybe something yeah yeah i'm feeling quite
00:11:39confident i think the only one that we really don't know is the uh hey apart from that we've got
00:11:44quite a good idea golden pineapple golden pineapple um
00:11:54where we get the ding ding i reckon do we know what a ding ding illustration actually is
00:12:00um no the next item is erhu e-r-h-u with that one let's just ask the locals we
00:12:10will find out yeah
00:12:11next on the list tea cake that is labeled 2005. okay a traditional way of packaging tea leaves
00:12:19any idea we think it's food we have no idea we're just gonna have to ask yeah okay
00:12:28we've got the new territories at the top that's agriculture the baby corn could be started off
00:12:32there absolutely list locked down the boys lay out their plan i was thinking someone starts at the
00:12:38top someone starts at the bottom we can then meet in the middle i think we're going too specific
00:12:42into guys let's see what else is in these areas i was i was still speaking but um i think
00:12:46if we focus
00:12:47on just hong kong island okay to confirm please area we're currently in kowloon what i would suggest
00:12:53is go now to northern territories to a farm somewhere do our picking and then head back to kowloon the
00:12:58other team takes hong kong island and then make their way over to lantau agreed yeah yeah yeah can i
00:13:04just clarify as well no one go below 30 percent of the market price yeah as your first offer also
00:13:10get
00:13:10creative get creative get creative no that's not what i said i know i'm saying also oh sorry also get
00:13:16creative i think kieran has very strong opinions and thoughts but sometimes they lack a bit of
00:13:22substance and i think i was just there to fill in the blanks to guide him to his vision levi
00:13:27has been
00:13:28in asia negotiating before with his company so i feel like he would be a good sub team leader i'll
00:13:33get
00:13:33yeah i will yeah that's it that's it i've got three team members with me so far i've got andrea
00:13:38roxy
00:13:38and carrington next for project manager nikki vanessa and no decide who goes where is it
00:13:46equal split of people sorry oh because i didn't count yeah no that's fine i just think this is
00:13:50getting really messy let's just stick down the middle okay you guys on this side going to sandley
00:13:55we on this side going to central that's making it really really really simple
00:14:00nikki do you think we should start splitting the items so shrimp paste we've got okay i think we'll
00:14:05take it on then yeah oh no we'll take the baby we're taking the pond yeah that's it we'll take
00:14:09the
00:14:09baby corn we've got the paste we've got the shrimp paste in the first location for baby on the list
00:14:14as well and if we're going to aberdeen why don't we get the corn as well yeah isn't it better
00:14:17for
00:14:17food there's no point two teams going at same place it's just that the central have dried
00:14:20properties should we take the shrimp paste in rather than i think we should just swap i think you guys
00:14:24should go to central so we'll do stanley you guys do central okay completely swapped yeah
00:14:33there seems to be an awful lot of confusion amongst this team already there's no real
00:14:37consideration being given to all the variety of information that lord sugar's provided for them
00:14:42they had maps they had brochures but they haven't considered any of that they're just going on gut feel
00:14:46and hoping for the best that's not a strategy so lads in terms of travel those going to hong kong
00:14:51island we'll be taking the ferry then you're taking trump most of the way please please and where
00:14:55are we in the big big be on time i do not like people who are late i think we
00:15:00should start making
00:15:01way to the lantern island at four o'clock okay okay yeah i think we've got this in the bag
00:15:05ladies yeah
00:15:1010 30 a.m we're getting the star we're gonna go to the port please drive her to the port
00:15:16sir teams have
00:15:18eight hours to find their items we are beautiful powerful passionate women we've got this we're
00:15:23gonna smash it carrington you're on maps and you're happy with that yeah and buy them for the best
00:15:28possible price i'm really struggling to even find where we are on this map to where we need to be
00:15:33nikki juggling the geography it's so difficult because everyone knows where we are i'm gonna keep an eye
00:15:38out and see nikki's girls oh look aberdeen it says aberdeen straight ahead and that's that is the
00:15:46shrimp paste is in aberdeen yeah should we get our aberdeen are you all right yeah yeah yeah yeah that's
00:15:51fine could we go to aberdeen please okay i can't even find aberdeen on the map can anyone see where
00:15:55i know can everyone find aberdeen on the map let's see if we get some farms in the new territories
00:16:02to us and all like if we're going all the way up to the top of the new territories like
00:16:06it could be
00:16:06pretty far while levi's lads change course on corn i think chin off going off to new territories
00:16:13but to kowloon it's got markets and that there exactly fresh off the ferry in search of stanley
00:16:19okay so should we find an information center here how about a bus terminus oh guys the rest of the
00:16:25boys
00:16:26hi uh we are trying to find the best way to get to stanley
00:16:30in our big busters we have a route in stanley how long does it take the tour is around two
00:16:36hours
00:16:37is there a quicker way maybe tries the tram that we can well there's no trump to go there
00:16:43really yes stanley is the south side of hong kong island yeah
00:16:48i put the fail so far down to marcus it was his idea to get the ferry here and get
00:16:52a tram
00:16:53we're here there is a tram but not to where we need to go so it's a complete waste of
00:16:58our time
00:16:58they're going to get in the car we're going to go just and let's street if anyone's got any
00:17:01objections please shout now we're going to stanley let's go thank you
00:17:09let's go let's go let's go we get to the market then we can ask questions market charging a course
00:17:15to their first item i feel like this is a great place to start do you have the same measure
00:17:20yes in
00:17:21the bag georgie's half of the girls head to a party supply store hello could you tell me where
00:17:28you've seen a dragon boat head on their wish list a wooden carving found on the front of boats
00:17:36dragon we want dragon boat chinese second boat yeah he's coming
00:17:43please be at me too can i have someone that's good at maps over here
00:17:49okay if we take the stick out i don't believe this is the right thing because i think it's
00:17:53actually a meter of the head itself yeah so i'm really sorry we won't be able to take this
00:18:00you don't need this one no no sorry it's not what we're looking for just head one meter yeah oh
00:18:06you
00:18:06one stick i know yeah we get one full head one yeah yeah a very big one yeah so sorry
00:18:13guys we need
00:18:16to be uber specific when we ask about things yeah please let's move on on to the next idea okay
00:18:21let's
00:18:21go to that market such a waste of time on the other half of the team okay let's just look
00:18:28out for signs
00:18:28yeah try and locate where we are sniffing out shrimp paste i think we just need to get our asks
00:18:36you
00:18:36need to ask me to figure out and then we can make a plan driver can you stop when it's
00:18:40safe to do so
00:18:42project manager nikki let's just ask someone anyone how far is aberdeen hello hi excuse me do you speak
00:18:51english no no okay anyone on the road anyone on the road should we just ask hi do you speak
00:18:57english
00:18:59no no hi do you speak down here mega oh this is security i'm the security man should we just
00:19:05go
00:19:05yeah sorry do you speak english do you speak english no excuse me sorry guys should we go down to
00:19:12the
00:19:12shops do you speak english do you speak english no honestly i don't think any of us are good with
00:19:18geography no one seems to know much about where they are where they're going and how to read the
00:19:22map which is crucial in this task so we need to be able to know where we are can i
00:19:27just say let's
00:19:28head back to the car let's just regroup and let's find and figure out next steps there are you
00:19:31all right with that yeah okay cool
00:19:37lunchtime oh look there's an arts and crafts shop here right there great spot hunting down their
00:19:43first item do you have a chinese calligraphy brush yes with a 20 centimeter brush levi's half of the
00:19:50boys do we have the take measure yeah we've got to take measure let's make sure that's the right size
00:19:55no hopes of the brush rubbed out next on the list a golden pineapple golden pineapple a traditional
00:20:04sculpture burned at religious festivals um is it uh like this okay there's no pineapple on that
00:20:14does that mean does it mean the color so which is it says spec paper this one spec okay this
00:20:20is golden
00:20:20pineapple paper okay we can take this downstairs and because we'll yeah okay yeah that's one where
00:20:27that's golden pineapple we all have seen the origami this is 45 hong kong dollars what is the best price
00:20:33you
00:20:33can maybe do 43 okay 43 yeah 35 dollars no and then we leave you i'll buy you a present
00:20:41next time
00:20:41i'm sorry okay 38 and then we can have a deal okay 38 okay thank you thank you thank you
00:20:48thank you
00:20:50the really good thing for tan is he did a great negotiation but the bad news is he bought the
00:20:55wrong
00:20:56product she told him it was golden pineapple paper well it might be but it's certainly not the golden
00:21:02pineapple he should be looking for great work i think you know you couldn't knock anything more
00:21:06off that i think and we've got our first product yeah we got one tick tock yeah
00:21:12do you have emma john sat hand painted while nikki's team finally locked down a lead
00:21:20how far are you from aberdeen we are in central okay at central district food market we're looking for
00:21:28fresh baby corn four cutties still on the hunt for their first item guys guys i think the other team
00:21:34are ringing georgie's half the girls hello how are you getting on so we're just about to pick up the
00:21:41baby corn we haven't picked up we haven't picked it up yet we haven't got anything yet no but we're
00:21:46about looking in the market have you found anything yet my love not yet not yet don't worry we're all
00:21:52in
00:21:52the same boat it's been a really difficult day but we're going to pull this bag oh gosh whereabouts
00:21:57are you so we found the mahjong is near you guys it's called local mahjong we've phoned ahead
00:22:06brilliant okay so what we're going to do now we're going to try for baby corn then we're going to
00:22:09go
00:22:09to this toy shop speak to you soon bye bye bye i can't believe that we both don't have anything
00:22:15yet
00:22:15do you know what we're all in the same boat so all we've got to do is really try and
00:22:19pull together now
00:22:20let's go let's do this 1.30 pm so we're looking to find dragon boat heads over a meter en
00:22:31route to
00:22:32the coast do you think it might be a good chance in stanley because they do the racing there that's
00:22:36right that's what i was thinking stanley kieran's boys fish for answers do you know where we can get
00:22:42like an uh who uh what what is it exactly it's a string instrument with two strings yay six miles
00:22:52away in aberdeen i'm just seeing that there's a place where they teach english do you want to ask
00:22:57them where we can get the shrimp paste still in search of shrimp paste okay let's go okay go property
00:23:05expert andrea seeks out grade a intel hello hello so we're actually looking for some shrimp paste do you
00:23:14know of any markets that we could get some shrimp paste from yeah there's wet markets okay okay you
00:23:19walk outside there along the harbor yeah uh there is a small boat okay which is take you like a
00:23:26two
00:23:26minutes ride to the opposite side and then there's a public market there amazing those places that you're
00:23:31able to buy this from me that's absolutely fantastic thank you bye that was really helpful
00:23:37guys amazing she said two minutes yeah for the rest of the girls in central it needs to be freshly
00:23:47picked
00:23:48today it's not we cannot buy okay let's go let's go thank you bye-bye corn canned a new plan
00:23:54we've had
00:23:55absolutely no luck getting caught in i think it's best that we actually go to the earth and get the
00:23:59game yeah absolutely we need to be as quick as we can now that's cool finally washing up on the
00:24:04coast
00:24:05come on stanley where the magic happens boys this might happen we are getting everything here
00:24:10for kieran's team go on let's go on we'll put a chance to check in who's speaking

00:24:22down what the ur2 is oh yeah write it down write it down it's a two-string instrument perfect we're
00:24:29going to hand that over to you because i think it's unlikely that we're going to find it here
00:24:32we're going to focus on the shrimp paste and the dragon's head uh how are you doing on your other
00:24:36items we've only found the golden pineapple paper guys let's keep the head up let's keep going we're
00:24:41going to go to the beach and we'll see you shortly okay good luck lads good luck there lads

00:24:55took over
00:24:55the phone i bet connor was like give me the phone let me chat back in aberdeen come on ladies

00:40:18Okay?
00:40:18Okay.
00:40:18Yes.
00:40:21Thank you, Baroness Brady.
00:40:21What do we think is going to happen tomorrow?
00:40:22Oh, gosh.
00:40:24That doesn't sound too good.
00:40:28I don't know.
00:40:30I don't know.
00:40:32Oh, my God.
00:40:36I don't know.
00:40:59I can't believe they're not here, girl.
00:41:01Where are they?
00:41:038pm.
00:41:04My goodness, Brady's gone home.
00:41:06Tim's gone home.
00:41:06The boys have gone home.
00:41:08How long are we going to stand here?
00:41:10It's way past the deadline.
00:41:13Oh, there they are.
00:41:15Come, ladies.
00:41:16They better be running up those stairs.
00:41:18Good work, girls.
00:41:19Are they just a better chance?
00:41:21All of them.
00:41:22I just want to know what happened.
00:41:24Yeah, me too.
00:41:25Like, what went so, so wrong?
00:41:29They've got a lot to answer for.
00:41:35What happened, girls?
00:41:36Yeah, what happened?
00:41:37Honestly, it's just a bit manic.
00:41:40What happened with that?
00:41:41We lost our driver.
00:42:09You can go through now.
00:42:24I got me, Dennis.
00:42:29I got me, Dennis.
00:42:40Well, you didn't expect me to send you out here
00:42:44to the greatest negotiating commercial centre in the world
00:42:48without me being here, did you?
00:42:50Come on, let's be fair, right?
00:42:57Let me start with the boys.
00:42:59Kieran, I believe that you were the project manager.
00:43:03I was indeed. Myself and Levi put our names forward.
00:43:06I suppose, being an estate agent,
00:43:09part of this task is all about location, location, location, right?
00:43:18Yeah?
00:43:18Anyway, you kicked off at 9.30 in the morning, approximately, right?
00:43:23From what I've understood from Baroness Brady,
00:43:27I don't think you bought your first item till about 3pm, is that right?
00:43:32Correct.
00:43:33Come on.
00:43:33What were you doing for six hours?
00:43:35What the issue was, we got the ferry over to the centre
00:43:40and then realised when we got there
00:43:42that we can actually get to Stanley from there.
00:43:45Headless chickens?
00:43:47Yeah.
00:43:47Anyway, Ranjan, you got the dragon boat head, right?
00:43:51That's correct, Lord Sugar, yeah.
00:43:53Started off at HK$4,000 and you ended up getting it for HK$2,300.
00:43:59That's correct, yeah.
00:44:00Yeah, so my initial strategy was to make a bit of small talk with him,
00:44:04get him a bit more comfortable with me.
00:44:06Fortunately, that strategy paid off and, yeah, I ended up getting 42% off his original asking price.
00:44:13Now, the sub-team leader, Levi...
00:44:17That's me, Lord Sugar.
00:44:18Yeah.
00:44:18We were looking to go to the New Territories to get the baby corn.
00:44:22And then upon looking how far it is, we chinned that area off and then proceeded to another area.
00:44:28And that's where we stumbled across the golden pineapple piece of paper, yeah.
00:44:32They must have seen you come in.
00:44:35This mug come from England, right?
00:44:38I'll show you what you should have got.
00:44:39Oh!
00:44:41That's what you should have got.
00:44:43That's what I wanted you to go and get.
00:44:45There's hundreds of them in the street here.
00:44:47You must really walk past them 20 times.
00:44:51And you end up buying a load of bloody paper.
00:44:55Yeah, that's correct, Lord Sugar.
00:44:56Chinese year of the prat, that's what you might be.
00:45:01Anyway, so who bought the uh-who?
00:45:05I did.
00:45:05And did you stand around for half an hour afterwards listening to the bloke playing it?
00:45:10Because we didn't want to be disrespectful, so we just thought...
00:45:13They were just showing us the wonderful instruments, so I just thought...
00:45:15She was like, why don't we play it?
00:45:17Why don't you bought it? Why don't you just go?
00:45:19Waste of time. Complete and utter waste of time.
00:45:22Anyway, Kieran, you've got two items.
00:45:25Your sub-team only got one item out of nine.
00:45:29You've messed it up.
00:45:32Completely messed it up.
00:45:38Ladies, this lot have made a mess.
00:45:41And from what I can understand, so have you.
00:45:44Nikki, you were the PM, is that right?
00:45:48Yes, Lord Sugar.
00:45:48I'm a good, strong negotiator, so I felt like I was the best fit for this task.
00:45:52Yeah, well, before you get to negotiate with somebody, you've got to get to a vendor that is actually selling
00:45:59one of the items that you require.
00:46:02Yes, Lord Sugar.
00:46:02And you didn't find them.
00:46:04No, Lord Sugar.
00:46:05You never found the bloody items, did you?
00:46:07No.
00:46:07I don't know what else I could do.
00:46:09It's just so frustrating.
00:46:11I gave you maps, brochures and all that stuff.
00:46:15According to Tim, in the brainstorm, you didn't make reference to them at all.
00:46:20Lord Sugar, I think the main issue here was, in our team, we were obsessed with finding the shrimp paste,
00:46:24and I think a lot of time got wasted there.
00:46:26We got a bit lost, we wanted a bit of a detour, and again, that wasted some time.
00:46:30Yeah, and my Lord Sugar...
00:46:32But when you finally got to a place that sold shrimp paste, it was closed, wasn't it?
00:46:36It was patched, yeah.
00:46:38May I speak? Would that be okay?
00:46:40Yeah, you can speak, yeah.
00:46:41So, on the sub team, we did, at the very beginning, come across this lovely lady, and she bought out
00:46:46what she thought was this dragon boat head.
00:46:48But then we realised pretty quickly it wasn't the right product, and we did have numerous opportunities.
00:46:52So if we had a bit more time, that would have been our next point of thought.
00:46:56I know.
00:46:56Had all day.
00:46:57I know, it was a struggle.
00:46:58Can I add, Lord Sugar, we found a shop in Central.
00:47:01The shop had mahjong.
00:47:03We weren't in Central at that time, but we knew that the sub team were, so we let them know.
00:47:07Karishma, you bought the mahjong on Central.
00:47:09Oh, she was great, I have to say.
00:47:10So, I know that in this specific market, they're very used to being aggressively negotiated with.
00:47:16When people are buying on a regular basis, and they're buying in quantity, then you want to have a relationship.
00:47:23Get to the point, you bought one, right?
00:47:25Yeah, she did.
00:47:25The starting price was 1482 Hong Kong dollars, and in the end, you got it for 700.
00:47:32I did, yeah.
00:47:33Right, why don't you just say that then?
00:47:35Oh, I wanted to tell you the story.
00:47:37It's a really good story.
00:47:38It's a good story.
00:47:38Can we tell you?
00:47:39No, I don't want to hear any more about this, because this is not a joke.
00:47:43Of course.
00:47:44But Lord Sugar, might I just add that at the start of the day, Nikki didn't make a point that
00:47:48we had to be back at the Buddha and not to be late.
00:47:51By the time we got back, it was daylight, and when they reached, it was dark.
00:47:54We were very late, but we made an executive decision.
00:47:57We were guaranteed to get the dragon's head, so it was either a fine for being late or a fine
00:48:02for not getting the item.
00:48:03Well, look.
00:48:04I would just like to add one thing I think we did well on the sub team was we all
00:48:07really worked together.
00:48:08Yeah.
00:48:08I feel like everybody had a fair shot at giving things a try.
00:48:11But Georgina, you didn't get any items.
00:48:12You worked together.
00:48:13We got the one, and we got one.
00:48:14Busy fools.
00:48:14Sound like a bunch of busy fools.
00:48:18It's very disheartening for me.
00:48:21This is the 20th year, and so much work has gone into the preparation of sending you all to this
00:48:31commercial metropolis.
00:48:33Best one in the world.
00:48:35But nevertheless, we're going to read out how much you spent.
00:48:39It's not so much how much you spent, but more likely how much you got fined.
00:48:45So, Karen, let's start with the boys.
00:48:49They managed to get three correct items, which cost them HK$3,195.
00:48:56And they also spent HK$38 on the incorrect item, which was the golden pineapple.
00:49:05That gave them a total spend of HK$3,233, including transport.
00:49:12But there was, of course, five items they didn't secure, as well as the incorrect item, which incurs a fine,
00:49:20and half the team were late.
00:49:22So that means a total fines on them of HK$4,040, which gives them a total spend of HK
00:49:30$7,273.
00:49:32Well, a total joke. A complete and utter joke.
00:49:39Tim, same thing.
00:49:41Well, the ladies, they only bought two items.
00:49:44So that gave them a total spend of HK$3,200.
00:49:49But as they didn't buy seven of the items, and half of the team were almost two hours late, you
00:49:56imposed fines of them totalling HK$7,000, giving them a total spend of HK$10,200.
00:50:04Yes!
00:50:07What are you celebrating for?
00:50:11I mean, technically, yes, you've won.
00:50:14But I wouldn't call this a win, quite frankly.
00:50:18It's a bloody disgrace.
00:50:19Honestly, a total disgrace.
00:50:24Off you go.
00:50:26Thank you, Lord Shukar.
00:50:26Thank you, Lord Shukar.
00:50:38As bad as that lot are, ladies, you are worse.
00:50:44So I need you to go away, talk amongst yourselves, and we're going to come back in here again, and
00:50:51I'm going to decide which of you are going to leave the process.
00:50:56Off you go.
00:50:57Thank you, Lord Shukar.
00:50:58Thank you, Brown. It's pretty.
00:51:00Thank you, Tim.
00:51:03Two items out of nine is unbelievable. I just don't get it. I mean...
00:51:10And you gave them maps, you gave them a directory, you gave them a car, you gave them a description,
00:51:14a specification. I mean, I'm not quite sure what more you could have done.
00:51:18Unbelievable. Unbelievable.
00:51:21Right, girls, what happened? What went wrong?
00:51:22It was from the start. What went wrong happened right from the start.
00:51:25We needed structure. We needed to know where we were, where we were going to go. There was no structure.
00:51:30No one was aware of what we were doing.
00:51:33I don't feel like the failure lands with me. I think the fault lies with the sub team. They spent
00:51:38a lot of time running around. You know, they could have bought more and ultimately we could have won this
00:51:41task.
00:51:42The item that you got, we phoned and we managed to get that item for you guys.
00:51:46To be honest, it's not rocket science to find that item like you got.
00:51:50Yeah, you called up the store and you made sure that it was there.
00:51:53But then that means that we had to negotiate it and we sold it.
00:51:54What if we didn't get that product? Would you have had zero items then?
00:51:58No.
00:51:58I don't believe that I'm to blame for the failure of this task. I feel like I kept everybody's morale
00:52:02high, I kept the positivity going and there was not a chance that we were not going to make it
00:52:07to Big Budap on time.
00:52:07You guys are so late. You were two hours late, girls. It was that, we're not getting the items.
00:52:12You've said, make sure you're there on time. If you as a team leader cannot even follow your overall set,
00:52:17the failure of this task belongs to the PM.
00:52:21The structure was not there from the start. If one thing fails at the start, just forget the whole plan.
00:52:25The whole thing fails.
00:52:35Would you, er, send the candidates in, please?
00:52:52A whole day.
00:52:55A whole working day. And each team came in with one item each.
00:53:05I think where it went wrong is we were lost at the beginning and we found ourselves in Aberdeen and
00:53:11we knew that the shrimp paste was there.
00:53:13So because we was already there, we thought we would get the shrimp paste.
00:53:16But you didn't get that though.
00:53:18We spent too long there. That was the problem. We spent too long. We didn't know where we were going.
00:53:22Can I just say something? Nobody was reading where we needed to be, looking at the maps, seeing where we
00:53:28needed to go.
00:53:28Well, I said that right at the very beginning.
00:53:31We didn't. Nobody used it.
00:53:34Can I also just add, look at the brief, Nikki said whatever happens, just make sure you leave at four
00:53:41to just make their Buddha temple on time.
00:53:43So that's what the sub-team, sub-team did.
00:53:46But you got there two hours later?
00:53:48Yeah.
00:53:49So what happened to your leave at four?
00:53:52We had lost the driver. So at this point we was already late.
00:53:55So it was either being late.
00:53:56Lost the driver?
00:53:56Yeah. I don't think that was the reason.
00:53:58We just got directed in the...
00:53:59Well, it was already late.
00:54:00So I made the executive decision to be late with no product or be late with a product.
00:54:05And that's the situation we were in.
00:54:07We had one product.
00:54:08We could have gone and definitely got a second product.
00:54:10Yeah.
00:54:10But we chose to leave on time.
00:54:12How late was your lot turning up?
00:54:14We weren't late at time.
00:54:15We raced up the stairs alongside the boys and we got there on time.
00:54:17And that's why Georgie's decided that we should leave at four because that was the rules of the PM.
00:54:21They haven't, all the calls that you guys were making all day, not once did you say get all items
00:54:25and forget about being on time.
00:54:26You got the item at six.
00:54:27I think the problem is that we didn't sit and like strategise each step of the way.
00:54:33It was just a lot of voices, we kind of went running.
00:54:35Clearly no strategy, you know.
00:54:37I don't think you could find a sofa in DFS.
00:54:41Honestly, I mean, it's ridiculous what has gone on here.
00:54:45Towards the end of the day, I think we got a lot better with the maps and locations and we
00:54:49knew where we were.
00:54:50We were warming up and I know that isn't good enough.
00:54:53Not good enough is an understatement.
00:54:56I mean, the point is, is that you only got one item.
00:55:00I know, it's embarrassing.
00:55:03Look, I'm going to bring this thing to an end now.
00:55:08Georgina, I'm going to ask you to bring back two people from your sub team.
00:55:13Oh.
00:55:14And Nicky, I'm going to ask you to bring two people back from your team.
00:55:19Can I just say, this pains me to do this, as I really don't believe that our team is responsible.
00:55:24Just first and foremost, but thank you.
00:55:25Whether it pains you to do it or not.
00:55:28I just wanted you to know.
00:55:29Yeah.
00:55:31Absolutely nothing personal, ladies, but I would like to bring back Roxanne and Carrington, please.
00:55:37And I'm really sorry.
00:55:38Roxanne and Carrington, right.
00:55:40Georgie, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't know how to nag and forget your way around home.
00:55:43I've got, I've got, I'm so sorry, I have a reason and I'll, I'm so sorry.
00:55:46And who to, who are you going to bring back?
00:55:49I'm going to bring back Andrea and Rothner.
00:55:52I don't know why I would do that.
00:55:55I literally felt like I was leading half the time asking you, are you sure you want to go here,
00:55:58you want to go there, but fine.
00:56:00We can speak about it later.
00:56:01I can tell, I can tell you.
00:56:02Yeah, that's okay.
00:56:03Okay.
00:56:04The rest of you, you can, you can leave.
00:56:11Good luck.
00:56:14I'm so sorry.
00:56:19I'm going to have a discussion with Baroness Brady and Tim.
00:56:24And in the meantime, you have to step outside and I'll call you back in shortly.
00:56:30Okay.
00:56:30All right.
00:56:32Thank you a lot, sugar.
00:56:32Thank you very much, buddy.
00:56:38Well, a bit unusual.
00:56:40Of nine items, the sub team and the main team, they only got one item each.
00:56:46So that's why I decided that the project manager should bring back two people and the sub team leader should
00:56:54bring back two people.
00:56:55That, that's where we are.
00:56:56Watching the candidates on the task, Roxanne was the one I saw do least throughout the whole of the endeavor.
00:57:03From Carrington as well.
00:57:04She was responsible for the match, but several times the team said that they were lost.
00:57:08If she was responsible for it, she didn't do a very good job.
00:57:10And Karen?
00:57:10Obviously, I didn't follow the ladies, but I have to say Andrea and Rothner have been ever so quiet.
00:57:16I haven't got a sense of who they are or what they did at all.
00:57:19Nikki, every member of this team is saying that there wasn't a clear strategy.
00:57:23And as project manager, that is really Nikki's responsibility to sell.
00:57:26I worry for Georgina in this process.
00:57:30When you asked her to bring back two people, she started to get very upset.
00:57:35This is a tough process.
00:57:37It only gets tougher.
00:57:39And maybe this process isn't for her.
00:57:41Hmm.
00:57:45Yes, Lord Sugar?
00:57:46Could you send the candidates in, please?
00:58:00Nikki, why are you bringing these two people back?
00:58:04So, Lord Sugar, I brought back Rothner because she saw the teacher in Aberdeen.
00:58:09She mentioned to get out of the car and ask her.
00:58:12So, we wasted a lot of time speaking to this lady.
00:58:14It was up to you as project manager whether you wanted to get out of the car and ask them.
00:58:18You decided to do that.
00:58:19We didn't even sit to strategise, Lord Sugar.
00:58:21Even after the English Centre, we're running off in another direction.
00:58:24You're not sitting the team gathering us together and being like,
00:58:27guys, what should we do?
00:58:28What's our next step?
00:58:29So, are you saying that she's responsible for the failure of this task?
00:58:33Yeah, 100%.
00:58:34I didn't feel supported.
00:58:35I didn't feel like I was directed.
00:58:36Okay.
00:58:37Same question to you, Nikki, concerning Andrea here.
00:58:42I brought Andrea back just because I felt like there wasn't a lot of direction,
00:58:45more noise just from her, to be honest.
00:58:48So, I don't feel like she contributed a lot towards this task.
00:58:51I was put on the sub team.
00:58:53I was changed at the last minute and you said,
00:58:56I'm just going to go straight down the middle.
00:58:57It wasn't a change.
00:58:58Can I say my opinion, please?
00:59:00Sorry, of course.
00:59:00Okay.
00:59:00So, when I didn't get time to write down the new items, I didn't have them listed.
00:59:05You didn't listen to us.
00:59:06We tried to communicate.
00:59:08You totally left us out.
00:59:10Okay.
00:59:11Georgina, same thing.
00:59:13So, regarding Carrington, I am genuinely really sorry that you're here.
00:59:16And the only reason that I chose to bring her back was because I gave you the responsibility
00:59:21of the maps.
00:59:22But in your defence, I feel like the only reason you didn't know where we were was because
00:59:27at the very beginning of the day, we didn't open the map in the briefing.
00:59:30And what's the reason for Roxanne being here?
00:59:34Again, I'm so sorry you're here.
00:59:36Out of the five of us, I just felt you were the quietest.
00:59:38And that is all.
00:59:39I disagree on that point.
00:59:40Okay.
00:59:40I feel like I was never given that opportunity.
00:59:43Did I not ask you?
00:59:43Sorry.
00:59:45If you can just let me finish, please.
00:59:47Of course, yeah.
00:59:47I'm sorry.
00:59:48So, I just felt like I was just kept in the shadows the whole time within the team.
00:59:53So, I don't deserve to be here.
00:59:54No, I don't think either of you do.
00:59:56I would prefer to be here on my own.
00:59:58So, if they don't deserve to be here, who does deserve to be here?
01:00:02I feel like Nikki deserves to be here and I can't.
01:00:05Obviously, no one's going to take blame and everyone's going to take the easy option by blaming the project manager.
01:00:09But I did turn things around.
01:00:11I made the executive decision, like, let's go after the dragon head.
01:00:14I'm the one who phoned the sub team and told them about the Mahjong.
01:00:16And I didn't carry on.
01:00:18You didn't turn things around, though, because you were two hours late.
01:00:19Yeah.
01:00:20You made the decision to be two hours late.
01:00:21You made it so...
01:00:22We didn't make a decision to be two hours late.
01:00:24And this is a simple task.
01:00:27And you completely and utterly messed up.
01:00:30So, I'm going to summarise and I don't want to hear any more from anybody.
01:00:40Andrea, I find your explanation rather difficult to comprehend.
01:00:45And similarly, Roxanne, I'm kind of wondering exactly what you've done.
01:01:02Nikki, yes, you put yourself forward as the project manager, very brave.
01:01:09But you was two hours late and you only got one item and you were the overall project manager.
01:01:18Lord Sugar, can I?
01:01:19No, you can't.
01:01:22And so, it is with regret that you're fired.
01:01:27Thank you, Lord Sugar.
01:01:28I'm afraid you can.
01:01:42Georgina, I think you're your own worst enemy.
01:01:47You come in here, you bring two people in and you say they shouldn't be here.
01:01:54And so, you leave me nowhere to go.
01:01:59So, Georgina, regretfully, you're fired.
01:02:03Thank you, Lord Sugar.
01:02:04Thank you very much, Maggie.
01:02:05Thank you, Tim.
01:02:13Now, you have four ladies.
01:02:17I'd just like you to collect your thoughts and realise how serious this process is, okay?
01:02:24Off you go.
01:02:24Thank you, Lord Sugar.
01:02:32I put myself forward to be project manager because that's just the type of person I am.
01:02:36I always go for the challenge and I always rise to it, but it just didn't work out on this
01:02:39occasion.
01:02:40I feel really disappointed.
01:02:42I feel like I've gone too soon.
01:02:44And I just wish that I'd had that opportunity to go further and show him what I'm made of.
01:02:50What happened in the boardroom?
01:02:52So, Lord Sugar was not happy.
01:02:55He asked the project manager to bring two people back.
01:02:58And he also asked the sub team to bring two people back as well.
01:03:02Do you think it's going to be a double?
01:03:04At least, or a minimum?
01:03:05I think it's going to be a double.
01:03:14Oh, thank you!
01:03:15Thank you, everyone!
01:03:18Girls, only four of you come back.
01:03:19A double firing.
01:03:20Yeah.
01:03:20It was insane.
01:03:22Who went first?
01:03:23Um, Nikki went first.
01:03:24He was like, oh, you're fired.
01:03:26She left.
01:03:27So, how come Georgie went?
01:03:28Then Lord Sugar was like, so Georgie, why are we here?
01:03:31Yeah.
01:03:31She essentially said that she didn't need to bring us back and she was kind of a hammer's balls basically
01:03:36It was a mess and you don't know how serious this is until you're sat in front of Lord sugar
01:03:40fighting for your life
01:03:45Now 18 candidates remain the search for Lord sugar's next business partner
