Sun Erupts With Powerful X1-Class Flare, Triggers Radio Blackouts

The Sun erupted with an X1-class solar flare.NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the fireworks in multiple wavelengths.

The flare caused radio blackouts on sunlit portion of Earth at the time of eruption. The blackouts occurred in Australia and parts of southeast Asia.
