00:00How do we know that the self exists? Can it be a delusion?
00:04How do I know that I exist?
00:07I mean all the emotion.
00:09I mean, introduce yourself as the body.
00:12What is her name?
00:13Arushi.
00:14No, not Arushi. 32 teeth, 10 fingers and the rest of it.
00:20But isn't everything just neurology, whatever we feel, whatever we think?
00:24You are right. You are very right.
00:25And I wish this stays with you.
00:27Yes, obviously, the self, the ego is a biochemical, neurological construct and it really does not exist.
00:37Unfortunately, in spite of not existing, it controls life.
00:41Maya, you search for the self and you won't find it.
00:46There is no molecule, no agency, no node, no cell, no neuron inside called the self.
00:54It really doesn't exist.
00:56It's a flawed perception.
00:59It's a self-referential agency.
01:03Only the self says that I exist.
01:05But then there is nobody here who would admit that he or she doesn't exist.
01:10Right?
01:11Yeah, exactly.
01:12So then the thing is, it doesn't merely exist.
01:17It exists and suffers.
01:19In other words.
01:20The thing is, it appears.
