00:00One of the best advances in human evolution is weather prediction.
00:04Back in the olden days, weather prediction let us prepare our crops more efficiently,
00:09ensuring our survival, and today, well, we need to know how many layers to put on before leaving the house.
00:15So which weather apps are you using? Did you know there's more than one?
00:19Weather.gov is info and forecasts straight from the meteorologists at the U.S. government's National Weather Service.
00:27According to HuffPost, they don't technically have an app, but there is a way to add it as a button
00:31onto your home screen.
00:33It's the government. Do you expect it to work as it should?
00:37Radarscope gives users access to satellite and radar so they can see where it's cloudy, rainy, or storming,
00:43but it tends to be a bit more on the technical side.
00:46So if you're not into radar data, information on wind, and detail about the atmosphere,
00:51you can stick to the appropriately named weather app built into your iPhone.
00:55I use it, and it gets the job done nicely.
00:59But we'd like to highlight the What's the Forecast app.
01:03With a 4.6 star rating on the App Store, this app will give you an accurate reading of the
01:09forecast
01:09and tell you how to prepare for it in, shall we say, a colorful way.
01:14A good example would be,
01:16It's 35 degrees outside and snowing. Hope you stocked up on toilet paper.
01:21Finally, an app that tells me it's awful outside and makes me feel better about staying in bed.
