00:00The Dutch residence here in Bangkok has, for some of them, been a second home away from home.
00:06So we know the very deep connections that the Dutch community has with this compound and with this residence.
00:12And we understand the feelings.
00:14On the other hand, the decision that we are planning to sell the compound
00:19is completely separate from the very good relationship we have with the Thai government
00:25that we have with Thailand for the past 423 years.
00:29And this does not affect that relationship at all.
00:34One question from the Dutch communities is that the heritage house,
00:41the residence inside with such heritage,
00:44to symbolise Netherlands culture and significance in Thailand too.
00:50Is there any way to assure that the residents with heritage would still exist at this point?
01:01I cannot say anything about that part.
01:04And as you probably know, and what we've always said to the Dutch community,
01:13the responsibility for the compound will shift to the potential buyer after the sale.
01:19And it is not for the Dutch government to decide what will happen with the compound after a potential sale.
