00:00We are in for a treat this morning as we gear up for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow.
00:04The Grammy-nominated group Celtic Woman is with us live.
00:07That's right. Since its debut more than 20 years ago, the group has traveled the world performing traditional Irish music.
00:13And earlier this month, they kicked off their latest tour, Celtic Woman, A New Era.
00:17We've got Mairead, Katrina, Murin, and Kate. So glad to have you all with us.
00:22So, Celtic Woman, A New Era, what is the significance behind this name and what is this new era all
00:28about?
00:28Well, you know, we grew up in Ireland watching Celtic Woman on TV and have always aspired to be on
00:34this platform.
00:34And watching the original members has been such an integral part of our upbringing in music.
00:39And now for us to be coming into this new era, we're so honored to be continuing this legacy, this
00:45new lineup.
00:46And, you know, fan favorites, the songs that you'll always want to hear will always be in our show.
00:52But it has a sprinkling of some gems in this new tour that people might not be expecting.
00:57So we're thrilled.
00:58What do you think is behind the magic here?
01:00That it's something that you grew up watching and that is still going and still with such a strong fan
01:04base for decades?
01:06I think it's a testament, honestly, to the fan base of Celtic Woman.
01:09And we are so blessed.
01:11There's people who are coming back to these shows 21 years on.
01:15And it really is just a testament to those fantastic fans who are continuing to support us.
01:20And I think our music generally is kind of really about connecting and connecting back to heritage.
01:26And, you know, we love spreading our culture.
01:27So it really is such an honor for us to have this platform and to carry forth that torch.
01:32We love when you're here, when you spread it here.
01:34So let's hear the classic Danny Boy, Celtic Woman.
01:59Oh, Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling.
02:06From glen to glen and down the mountainside.
02:15The summer's gone and all the roses falling.
02:24It's you, it's you must go and I must find.
02:31But come ye back when summer's in the meadow.
02:41Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow.
02:50It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow.
03:02Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy, I love you so.
03:24But when ye call and all the flowers are dying.
03:32And I am dead, as that I am, baby
03:41You'll come and find the place where I am lying
03:49And kneel and say, and I'll be there for me
03:57And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
04:07And all my grave will warm, sweeter be
04:19For you will burn and tell me
04:26That you love me
04:34And I shall sleep in peace
04:42Until you come to me
05:11That was absolutely gorgeous
05:14Thank you so much for sharing your gifts
05:17And hey, tickets to the Celtic Woman and New Era Tour are on sale right now
05:23Well done
05:24Amazing
05:25Thanks for getting up so much
05:26Those voices are so good
05:27Thank you
05:27Thank you
