00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most
00:08memorable times Bangtan's Songnyan-Dang went viral.
00:20Number 10. Members launch individual Instagram accounts.
00:24Today we are going on the cover on the internet.
00:29For the longest time, ARMY hoped that the BTS members would open their own IG profiles.
00:35Fans finally got their wish in 2021, when all seven members joined the platform.
00:40As you'd expect, the internet went wild. The members' usernames were iconic,
00:46comments were limited, and their follower counts were growing at a breakneck pace.
00:56It took V only 43 minutes to reach 1 million followers on his personal Instagram account,
01:02and 4 hours and 52 minutes for that number to multiply by 10.
01:06With this achievement, the singer broke two Guinness World Records,
01:09his profile becoming the fastest IG page to cross those milestones.
01:13It was not a simple social media move for BTS,
01:16but a phenomenon that proved their unparalleled global influence.
01:34In the South Korean entertainment industry, there is one accolade every artist aspires to win.
01:40It is the Daeseang, also known as the Grand Prize. In 2016, BTS won their first ever Daeseang at
01:47the Melon Music Awards. Their record, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Young Forever,
01:52was named Album of the Year, and fans erupted into a roaring applause. The BTS members, however,
01:58were awestruck by their victory. It took a few seconds for that pleasant shock to subside,
02:03before they walked up to the stage to accept the coveted award.
02:06ARMY! Thank you!
02:17I really thank you for making us, helping us, and helping us.
02:24I always thank you for supporting many of us. I always love you.
02:28Jin and J-Hope had tears in their eyes while RM delivered a sincere speech,
02:33thanking fans before anyone else. The moment went viral,
02:37as ARMY all over the world celebrated with the group.
02:39I think I was happy.
02:41I think everything was great.
02:44Everything was great, but the meaning of the album was really big.
02:47I worked hard on the album, and I participated in the album.
02:52At that time, I thought it was a great meaning of the album.
02:57I didn't even know how to get it.
02:59Number 8. The first Daeseang Clean Sweep.
03:02From 2016 to 2019, BTS's career soared to unimaginable heights.
03:07So when they arrived at the 2019 M.NET Asian Music Awards,
03:11fans knew they'd be taking home some trophies.
03:13What they probably did not expect to see,
03:15was their boys win every single Daeseang that evening.
03:18You have to go to the Amir style, you have to go to Amir style?
03:20Do you want to go to Jungkook?
03:22Okay, come on, come on, come on.
03:24Oh, yeah.
03:25Oh, yeah.
03:25Oh, yeah.
03:26That's it, that's it.
03:27That's it, that's it.
03:28Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:33Their album Map of the Soul Persona became Album of the Year,
03:37Boy with Love was Song of the Year,
03:39and the group was named Worldwide Icon of the Year and Artist of the Year.
03:43We've never thought, you know, we call at some war, like worldwide,
03:50but, you know, everybody, every army watching this show and watching this war,
03:57you guys gave this title, you guys gave us the world.
04:01Before BTS, no other artist had achieved such a complete victory,
04:05also known as a Daeseang all kill at MAMA.
04:08The boys thanked ARMY every time they were on stage,
04:11and even gave a shout out to Jimmy Fallon,
04:13who virtually presented the Album of the Year award.
04:16Thank you, Jimmy!
04:24Number 7, their first Billboard Music Award.
04:27This is the first time we ever, you know, come to like an American award.
04:31Right.
04:32So it's, you know, and it's also like Billboard.
04:35Yes.
04:35The name is really huge for us.
04:38BTS' status as a global powerhouse became undeniable in 2017.
04:42That's when the group won their first ever Billboard Music Award in the Top Social Artist category.
04:47The winner was determined through fans' votes, and BTS emerged victorious, beating out pop stars Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Shawn
04:55Mendes, and Selena Gomez.
04:57RM took charge of the group's acceptance speech, sharing a message of gratitude and self-love in both English and
05:03Korean.
05:03This award belongs to the every people all around the world that shine the love and light on us by
05:10the millions, and make BTS proud, really, every day.
05:16Please, ARMY, remember what we say, love myself, love yourself.
05:20Thank you, Billboard, for supporting us, thank you!
05:27Later that same year, BTS graced the stage at the 45th annual American Music Awards,
05:32performing their hit song, DNA.
05:34This performance was a major milestone, too, as it marked their US TV debut.
05:39BTS has since won 12 Billboard Music Awards and 11 American Music Awards.
05:51Number 6.
05:52BTS completes their mandatory military service.
05:55In December of 2022, BTS' eldest member, Jean, enlisted in the South Korean military.
06:00The following year, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook began their mandatory military service.
06:18Fans held their breath, awaiting the members' safe return.
06:21Finally, in 2024, came Jean's homecoming.
06:25The BTS members came out to celebrate, and RM even put on a saxophone show, something he did again when
06:31he and V were discharged.
06:44J-Hope was greeted by Jean when he returned.
06:47Jimin and JK were released together, and Suga was the last to be discharged after he fulfilled his alternative service
06:53duties.
06:54Every time a member came home, fans flooded social media with love,
06:58turning the happy occasion into a viral event.
07:01ARMY really missed them.
07:18Number 5.
07:21I have many faults, and I have many more fears, but I'm gonna embrace myself as hard as I can.
07:29And I'm starting to love myself gradually, just little by little.
07:34BTS' music has resonated with fans worldwide, partly because it carries universal messages of self-empowerment, courage, resilience, identity, and
07:43hope.
07:43The band also tackles broader themes like the downsides of fame, mental health struggles, and social injustice, and is dedicated
07:51to philanthropy.
07:52So it wasn't surprising when they joined forces with UNICEF for the Love Myself campaign to bring an end to
07:58violence against young people.
07:59In relation to this initiative, in 2018, BTS became the first K-pop act to address the United Nations General
08:06Assembly.
08:06RM delivered a heartfelt speech drawing from BTS' lived experiences as he encouraged youngsters to love, accept, and express themselves.
08:15No matter who you are, where you're from, your skin color, your gender identity, just speak yourself.
08:24Find your name and find your voice by speaking yourself.
08:28His conviction reached millions, and his speech made headlines across the globe.
08:33BTS has since addressed the UNGA twice.
08:35For a while, we will be here for the first time.
08:38We can be here for the card.
08:39You can be here for the card.
08:40Yes.
08:41You can look for performance as well.
08:45I'm very lucky.
08:46I thought it was a good.
08:47I thought it was good.
08:47I was prepared for the time to do that.

09:01BTS turned The Melon Music Awards into a concert of their own with this performance
09:05that lasted nearly 40 minutes. The band, which won four Dae-seung awards at the ceremony,
09:10was a force to be reckoned with.
09:18From RM's fiery solo track intro Persona and the oldie but goodie Boy in Love,
09:24to fan favorites like Boy With Love and Microcosmos, the setlist was impeccable.
09:29A series of stunning solo showcases followed before the highlight of the evening, Dionysus.
09:35Oh, okay now, ready for show!
09:41With unstoppable energy and incomparable production value,
09:45BTS treated fans to a high-octane rendition of the already explosive track,
09:50proving once and for all why they're the GOAT.
09:52The performance went so viral, it turned casual fans into hardcore ARMY.
09:56And we're still not over it.
10:05You're a champion, you're a legend, you're a legend!
10:16Number three, the Arirang World Tour.
10:19BTS ARMY has a lot to look forward to when it comes to their boys' 2026 comeback.
10:24However, their upcoming World Tour takes the cake.
10:27I'm waiting for them since a very long time, and now that we're seeing them again,
10:31since like a big dream come true, and I'm really happy and excited about that.
10:36The Arirang World Tour, named after the group's newest album, Arirang,

10:42The tour is set to kick off in April 2026, and will continue well into 2027.

11:03holding a total of 79 shows in 34 cities.
11:07When the schedule was announced, fans broke the internet with millions of posts.
11:11Unsurprisingly, supporters in the band's home country snapped up tickets in no time.
11:15And so did ARMY in North America and Europe, leading to sold-out shows.
11:20Clearly, the world cannot wait to see the Kings take the stage again.
11:23According to data from the global accommodation platform,
11:26Hotels.com searches for inbound travel to Seoul from overseas surged by 155%
11:33compared to the previous week, following BTS' announcement of the global tour plans.
11:39Number two, their first Grammy nomination.
11:53For years, fans have deemed BTS deserving of the golden gramophone.
11:57From their artistry to their impact, the group has everything it takes to win a Grammy.
12:02When they finally got their first ever Recording Academy nod in 2020, it was a huge deal.
12:15Their song Dynamite was up for the best pop duo slash group performance award,
12:19making them the first K-pop artist to bag a Grammy nomination.
12:23RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook recorded themselves reacting to the announcement.
12:27And that video alone racked up 18 million views on YouTube.
12:31Ooh, yes! Yes! No!
12:35Although BTS did not win, they went on to be nominated for four more Grammys in the following
12:40years. Additionally, their performance of Butter at the 2022 Grammys is reportedly
12:45the most-watched Grammy performance ever.

13:52Ever since Arirang was announced, related hashtags have been constantly trending on social media.
