00:07to everyone who has supported us through these long and profoundly difficult days
00:16filled with pain and sorrow for our children.
00:22We chose Italy because it had the very same values we wanted to raise our children with.
00:30Namely, family, love, togetherness, organic living and eating, and more than anything,
00:41a heartful and peaceful existence who cared about each other.
00:47We lived in peace and in harmony.
00:51We lived within the state and constitutional laws Italy provided us with
00:56and never hurt our children, deprived them of their needs, or caused any harm to our neighbours,
01:05commune, and the land we lived on.
01:07We have always been respected by the laws and the rules, and we never judged, argued with,
01:14or instilled in our children a hatred or distrust of the leaders and the judicial
01:19and institutional authority figures around us.
01:23We purposefully chose our life out of a clear, conscious choice,
01:28grounded in our travels, our education, and our experiences.
01:33As a mother and father who adore our children,
01:38whom have always put their needs first,
01:41who have always acted in the awareness and the knowledge of what was right for them,
01:46while fully aware of not being perfect or possessing absolute truths,
01:52to be targeted and attacked the way we have,

02:02What Nathan and I came here to offer today was our truth
02:07and our continued commitment to the responsible, respectful, and loving parents we are.
02:14And with this truth, in the most unbearable pain,
02:19we came reaching out, asking to be heard,
02:23and to allow us to be a family again.
