00:01Damage in central Israel this morning after Iran fired a barrage overnight.
00:05But President Trump says he is working on a deal to end the fighting.
00:08Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yinks is live in Tel Aviv with the latest. Good morning, Trey.
00:14Hey guys, good morning. Today the Israeli government is voting to extend the country's state of emergency for three additional
00:21weeks.
00:21This comes as the Iranians are continuing their missile barrages toward this country,
00:26launching at least eight of them since last night at 10 p.m.
00:30One of those missiles had a 220-pound warhead.
00:33And you can see in the aftermath of this video here in the heart of Tel Aviv,
00:37it slammed into the street causing smoke to billow up across the Tel Aviv skyline.
00:42At this location, we understand at least nine people were treated by first responders with injuries.
00:47We arrived there shortly after the explosion.
00:51Right now, first responders are removing debris and rubble from the site of a direct impact in Tel Aviv.
00:58Early this morning, black smoke was billowing from the skyline here following a direct impact from an Iranian ballistic missile.
01:05You can see the side of this apartment building totally sheared off.
01:08At least six people were wounded in Israel's second largest city as these Iranian missile barrages continue.
01:15Our forces arrived here after receiving dispatch to the emergency hotline.
01:20We go straight into the building, even though it could collapse at any moment,
01:25even though the building might be on fire or there's cars on fire, that doesn't matter.
01:29What matters first when we arrive to the scene is life-saving operations.
01:34Israeli air defense systems were working throughout the night to intercept this incoming fire.
01:38They were able to take down some of the ballistic missiles, but others had those cluster munitions on top.
01:43We could see the debris and bomblets raining down over the skies of Tel Aviv.
01:47Now, the Israelis say they have just launched a new wave of strikes against Iran just in the last hour.
01:52This comes as U.S. Central Command is continuing to fly alongside their Israeli counterparts.
01:57These strikes from Saturday tried to destroy what is left of the military structure of the Iranian regime.
02:02President Trump yesterday talking about the possibility of a diplomatic outcome to end this conflict, saying this.
02:09Based on preliminary conversations between the United States and Iran over the past two days,
02:15I've directed the Department of War to temporarily postpone planned strikes against major energy and electricity targets in Iran.
02:26The U.S. and Israel are putting the pressure on Iran.
02:29You can see in this video here the aftermath of strikes on Monday in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
02:35This pressure is not just around the capital city, but across the country, especially the western side of Iran, near
02:40the Strait of Hormuz.
02:41Now, we also know Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah is launching new attacks against Israel today.
02:46This morning, 30 rockets soared through the skies of northern Israel, some of them impacting the ground below.
02:52We anticipate this missile fire and rocket fire to continue for days, if not weeks, if a diplomatic solution is
02:58not reached.
02:59Guys?
02:59And maybe it will this week. According to reports, talks on ending the war could be held in Islamabad as
03:05early as this week.
03:06There is also a report that Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey are passing messages between the United States negotiators,
03:13which I assume would be Jared and Steve Wyckoff, and Iran's parliament speaker.
03:18What do you know about these two reports?
03:21Yeah, we have seen these reports indicating that face-to-face talks could take place in Islamabad, Pakistan, as early
03:28as this week.
03:29We know there are messages being sent behind the scenes.
03:31I've talked with a number of regional sources who confirmed this to Fox News.
03:35The question here is, why now, and if the Iranians are willing to make good-faith concessions?
03:40This reminds me of just before Operation Epic Fury began.
03:43President Trump, time and time again, has tried to give the Iranians an off-ramp, even before this war began.
03:49And he's trying to do so again, understanding that there are still thousands of U.S. forces on the way,
03:54in addition to the 50,000 that remain in the Middle East.
03:57And so President Trump has a lot of options on the table, and he maintains the leverage at these negotiations
04:02that are now set to take place, possibly in person as early as this week.
04:07So, Shari, the one confusing thing for me is if Iran is going to make some concessions,
04:14this goes against their entire plan, which was to put pressure on the strait so the president would cave.
04:20So, it just seems inconsistent with the open sourcing that's been out there.
04:29Look, the reality is this war could continue for several more weeks, if not more.
04:34And the United States and Israel, we are told, are preparing for that real possibility.
04:39And the president said very clearly yesterday he is giving the Iranians five days.
04:42And they're not stopping strikes against the regime.
04:45They're only stopping the strikes against Iran's energy infrastructure.
04:48If those five days pass and Iran is not willing to make serious good-faith negotiations
04:53and come to the table trying to reduce their ballistic missile program, their nuclear program,
04:58and the threats against U.S. forces and allies across the Middle East, this war will intensify, we are told.
05:04And, again, the president has options on the table to do just that.
05:07When it comes to the ability of the Iranian regime, they have shown that they are willing to fire these
05:12ballistic missiles
05:12and drones toward residential areas in the Gulf and also against Israel.
05:17But, moving forward, the question at the negotiating table is whether or not the Iranians are willing to curb their
05:22nuclear program,
05:24stop producing ballistic missiles, and actually have a change of heart.
05:28And the president said something interesting yesterday, and it really speaks to what they are looking at here.
05:32There is not yet regime change in Iran, but the president said he's already starting to see a changed regime.
05:37And that's in part because much of the leadership of Iran has been taken out.
05:41And those that are left, even these hardliners, including the speaker of Iran's parliament,
05:45who has threatened the United States and President Trump himself in the past,
05:48they understand that they are out of options.
05:51They lack leverage because, while they still have a stockpile of ballistic missiles
05:55that they will use against Israel and U.S. forces in the region, they have limited ability to produce more.
06:01The United States and Israel have gone after these production facilities, not just for missiles, but also drones,
06:05and it puts the Iranians in a corner.
06:07And that, again, is why, at this point, they are willing to speak.
06:11All right, Trey.
06:12Yeah, we'll see where this goes.
06:13Just projections, because on the other side, they keep denying that there were even talks going on.
06:17Trey Yanks, thank you.
06:18Thank you, Trey.
06:19Meanwhile, let's go now to Lucas Tomlinson, who is live from Dubai with the latest.
06:23Lucas.
06:26Well, good morning, Brian.
06:27President Trump has issued a new ultimatum for Iran after the markets close this Friday
06:32to open the Strait of Hormuz, where he will order U.S. forces to destroy Iran's energy grid.
06:39We're giving it five days, and then we're going to see where that takes us.
06:44And I would say, at the end of this period, I think it could very well end up being a
06:49very good deal for everybody,
06:51as good as if we went all the way and just literally annihilated the place,
06:56which, if we don't have to do that, that would be a good thing, not a bad thing.
07:03After initially denying any talks from underway, Iranian officials now admit some notes are being passed.
07:08Quote, we received points from the U.S. through mediators, and they are being reviewed.
07:12Now, as negotiations appear to have launched, including through Pakistan, as we just heard from Trey,
07:17U.S. jets continue picking off targets in Iran, now more than 9,000 since the start of the war
07:22more than three weeks ago.
07:24Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, F-18 Super Hornets, F-35 Stealth Fighter jets,
07:29and EA-18 Growler Electronic Warfare jets continue to launch from the flight deck day and night around the clock.
07:36And B-52 bombers now launching strikes from RAF Fairford in Britain with a full complement of 24 2,000
07:42-pound satellite-guided penetrator bombs.
07:45You have to be pretty close to the target to release those, which says a lot about air superiority.
07:49And in Bahrain, Amazon Web Services said it suffered a disruption after an Iranian drone strike.
07:54And guys, plane spotters are also seeing more transport flights from the United States from different bases throughout the country,
08:00likely from the 18th Airborne Corps' alert brigade, which right now would be from the 82nd Airborne Division,
08:06and also likely some special operations forces included in these flights.
08:10So while these negotiations continue, more U.S. forces appear inbound here to the region.
08:14Additional leverage.
08:16Thanks, Lucas.
08:16There was also a report in the Institute for Study of War that Iran's going to stop going after Saudi
08:21Arabia
08:22because they fear it's going to trigger Saudi's military response.
08:26Well, they've already been talking about it.
08:27There's a report in the Wall Street Journal that talks about that they're gearing up to finally go on the
08:32offensive.
08:32So I'm sure that's impacted.
08:34And that's why I'm sure they got those reports, too.
08:35Don't you think the Strait of Hormuz after a negotiation would be jointly controlled?
08:39Because the president kind of alluded to that.
08:41That would have to be it.
08:41That would be it.
08:42Because, Ainsley, if it ends right now, it'll look like Iran will still have the trigger on the Strait.
08:47Six months from now, eight months from now, they're going to go, hey, we're shutting it down.
08:50Which can happen.
08:51And then what about the enriched uranium?
08:54It's got to be retrieved and removed.
08:57Yeah.
08:57And there's got to be heavy equipment in there.
09:00Observers go down.
09:01And we know exactly where all the other plants are.
