00:00Welcome back and I hope you guys had a nice long weekend.
00:04Here's what's happening in your weather.
00:06Let's begin with what happened over the weekend.
00:09If you found yourself shivering at night or not needing the AC or fan,
00:13this is why.
00:15TNT recorded its coldest night for the year to date
00:18with several areas dropping below 90 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning.
00:23This is because a very dry air mass moved over the weekend,
00:26dropping temperatures across most of Trinidad below 20 degrees Celsius
00:31for three nights in a row.
00:33At the peak of El Ticoche, one of Trinidad's highest points,
00:37temperatures range from a chilly 15.4 degrees to 16.2 degrees Celsius.
00:43But tonight, temperatures are back to normal
00:45with minimum lows of 23 degrees in Trinidad and 24 in Tobago.
00:50And you can also expect conditions to be clear and cool
00:53despite one or two early evening and pre-dawn showers.
00:57So, after a sunny weekend, another sunny day is ahead.
01:02According to the Met Office, tomorrow will be sunny
01:05and at times breezy with a few showers during the afternoon.
01:08However, the odd shower may become moderate to heavy,
01:12especially over western areas.
01:14Maximum temperatures will come in at 33 degrees in Trinidad
01:18and 31 in Tobago.
01:20Looking ahead at our two-day forecast now,
01:22where Wednesday and Thursday will continue the trend of sunshine,
01:27breezy conditions, along with a few showers,
01:30mainly near hilly areas on Wednesday
01:32and southern areas on Thursday.
01:34So, move accordingly.
01:36Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad
01:38and 31 in Tobago for both Wednesday and Thursday.
01:42Now, let's check in on our sun times.
01:44In Trinidad, sunrise is at 6.07 and 6.04 in Tobago
01:48and sunset at 6.16 in Trinidad and 6.13 in Tobago.
01:53And for all those indulging in any water activities tomorrow,
01:57seas will be moderate with waves 1.5 metres to 2 metres in open waters
02:02and below 1 metre in sheltered areas.

02:22In international news, Hawaii is dealing with severe damage
02:25after its worst flooding in over 20 years.
02:29Heavy weekend rains falling on already saturated ground
02:32from a prior storm caused widespread destruction.
02:36Floodwaters lifted houses and cars,
02:39flooded farms and stores and left thick mud covering streets and homes.
02:45Over 200 people had to be rescued.
02:48Officials warned that 120-year-old dam could be at risk of failing.
02:54Thousands of residents were evacuated
02:56and luckily, no deaths were reported thus far.
