00:00Can you talk about the evolution of performance and recovery technologies over these 23 seasons and what has been a
00:08game changer for you, something that maybe you will keep using?
00:12I mean, obviously everything gets better. I mean, everything. I mean, that's just evolution. It doesn't matter what it is.
00:18I mean, you look at a phone from 23 years ago compared to now. You look at cars from 23
00:23years ago to now. You look at everything. I mean, everything can get better.
00:27You know, and that's modern technology has definitely helped a lot of performance in whatever the case may be. But
00:35also at the same time, a lot of things that I was doing in high school is some of the
00:39same things that I'm doing now as far as recovery, as far as, you know, stretching and icing and the
00:46most important recovery is sleep, you know, and things of that nature.
00:51I've been doing a lot of that, you know, soft tissue work and things since I was in high school.
00:55So I have a routine and obviously me and Mike, he's somewhere around here.
00:59Me and Mike has built a program over the last 22 years and we follow that to a T and
01:04I understand that my body is the most important and availability is the most important when you out there with
01:11your teammates, being out on the floor with them means a lot and I've always taken that seriously.
01:15It is pretty cool to be, like I said, availability. I've always wanted to be available to my teammates either
01:21in Cleveland, here and now, you know, in L.A.
01:24So, it takes a lot. I mean, it's a mental toll, man, trying to play a lot and being out
01:33there, you know, throughout this whole thing and then under the circumstances that I, you know, kind of been given
01:38and it's just a lot, man.
01:40I just give a lot of praise to the man above and then, you know, to just loving the game
01:47and appreciating the game and then, and shout out Chief, man.
01:50I've been seeing some of the things that he's been saying about me and, you know, it's not a lot
01:54of those OGs that talk like that to, you know, the generation, you know, after them and also about me
02:01personally.
02:02So, shout out to Chief. He's, he's super cool. He's dope. I like him. According to AR, he says I
02:10got some others.
02:12Every day he say I think he's like most shoestrings worn in NBA history or most, what is it?
02:19Listen, he says a new stat every day about me that most sneakers worn in NBA, I don't know.
02:24But, listen, Tim, I mean, you know me. You spend a lot of time with me. I don't, it's not
02:31like I'm like writing things down and like looking at the record book and saying,
02:34I'm going to get that, I'm going to get that, I'm going to get that. It just, just kind of
02:38happened.
02:39It's not, it was not on the list of things that I wanted to accomplish. Games played, all-time leader
02:45in points.
02:48I don't know, some of the other stuff that's, that has happened as well. 10 point streak. I just not,
02:53those things that was not in my mind.
02:54Like, I want to be the best player in this league at some point. I want to be the greatest,
03:00one of the greatest, if not the greatest, ever played this game.
03:02I want to be an NBA champion. I want to possibly win rookie of the year, make all-star appearances,
03:06win a gold medal, win some MVPs.
03:10Those are some of, like, my goals. But, some of the stuff that's been happening over the course of the
03:15last few years has been super-duper cool.
03:17And, like, after I'm done, I mean, I always say the same thing. You guys are probably tired of hearing
03:22me say it.
03:23But, it'll be something cool I can kind of rejoice about and look at when I'm done.
03:27Thanks, Al-J.
03:27Thank you.
