00:03what was your first reaction uh around the u.s israel strike uh first of all i was in shock
00:11and then i was very grateful
00:17will this operation be successful in toppling the regime what the united states and israel
00:21are doing is they are leveling the playing field they are giving iranians an opportunity to fight
00:30back it was only when the islamic regime occupied iran and they brought with them their 7th century
00:37jihadi ideology that's when they started chanting you know death to america death to israel
00:45what are your concerns around the civilian deaths or the humanitarian impact in this case when it
00:52comes to iran iranians are actually safer when the islamic regime is being attacked by the united
00:59states in israel
01:08today we're being joined by goldie gammari an iranian born uh human rights activist former ontario mpp and
01:16one of the fiercest voice in the diaspora calling for a free iran as we speak the islamic republic is
01:23being targeted by the constant reeling with the constant strikes and with the death of the supreme
01:31leader khamini what is being described right now is that the biggest uprising since 1979
01:37miss gammari has gone on record publicly thanking israel and the united states for what she describes as
01:45the long overdue rescue operation my name is gammari for joining here today and for this exclusive
01:52conversation with us um miss gammari first i'd like to begin with understanding of in your opinion as
02:00an iranian canadian lawmaker how what was your first reaction uh around the u.s israel strike in which
02:09the supreme uh leader died uh so well first of all thank you so much for having me on it's
02:16an honor
02:16to be here very excited to speak with you uh and your audience so my first reaction upon hearing of
02:22the israeli american strikes and uh the the extermination of ali khamini the supreme dictator of the islamic
02:29regime uh first of all i was in shock and then i was very grateful and the reason that i
02:37was in shock
02:38is because this is something that we iranians have been asking for for the last 47 years we have been
02:43asking for um you know someone to come and help liberate us because we iranians for the last 47
02:52years uh ever since 1979 when the islamic dictatorship took over we have been under a brutal islamic
03:00oppression and they have been murdering us they have been raping us they have been silencing us
03:04and every single time that we have tried to rise up in the last 47 years they have murdered us
03:11because
03:11we iranians we are unarmed so my reaction upon hearing that the united states and israel finally
03:18intervened and the first thing they did was exterminate khamini was gratefulness so thank you so much to
03:25israel and the united states miss um khamini uh you as i've mentioned earlier you have gone on record
03:34and hanged israel uh soon uh for liberating iranians so do you think this operation will
03:41topple the regime will this operation be successful in toppling the regime so the purpose of the operation
03:48itself is not to topple the regime because ultimately it's not up to the united states or israel to topple
03:54the
03:54regime that's up to the iranian people what the united states and israel are doing is they are
04:00leveling the playing field they are giving iranians an opportunity to fight back against the savage
04:07oppressors who have been murdering us for the last 47 years what's really important to remember is that
04:13we iranians have a leader his name is reza pahlavi he is the uh crown prince of iran his royal
04:20highness
04:21reza pahlavi he's also the leader of the iranian national revolution and so a lot of people
04:27don't factor in that equation ultimately the people who will topple the regime will be the iranians
04:35themselves under the leadership and guidance of his royal highness reza pahlavi we have a plan for
04:41that it's called the iran prosperity project um in your opinion i do think the iranian canadian
04:48community would have responded to or reacted to this uh these airstrikes these operations and
04:55possibility of a routine change well they have been very grateful iranian canadians have been out of
05:01the streets uh celebrating uh we have gathered in front of the u.s uh embassy in ottawa also the
05:07u.s
05:08consulate in toronto and of course in various cities in montreal and vancouver calgary windsor elsewhere
05:14and all iranian canadians are very grateful uh they're they're holding uh you know photos of
05:20president trump they're waving american flags they're saying thank you trump thank you bb so
05:25iranian canadians are very grateful and this is a direct reflection of iranians inside occupied iran
05:32because uh when you see videos of iranians from february 28 right before the islamic regime shut down
05:39the internet some of the first few videos that came out were iranians in occupied iran singing
05:45dancing celebrating saying thank you trump thank you bb and that's exactly why the islamic regime
05:52shut down the internet on february 28 because they did not want the outside world to know
05:57that 90 million iranians are celebrating the fact that the united states and israel are attacking the
06:04islamic regime um miss gamari there are a lot of people iranian people there uh as we speak stuck in
06:13iran when these strikes are ongoing if you had to send them a message what that message uh would be
06:20for the iranians stuck there so my message to iranians in occupied iran would be well first
06:27of all i have to i have to let you know what their message is because that will make my
06:31message make
06:32sense so the message from iranians in occupied iran to us iranians outside their message is
06:40do not allow anyone to say that we are not grateful the biggest fear that iranians and
06:47occupied iran have right now is that the united states and israel will stop the military strike
06:53before the regime is overthrown and that is their biggest worry that the that the regime will survive
06:59so my message in fact all of our message as iranians outside of iran to iranians in the country
07:06is that do not worry we iranians those of us who are outside we will be your voice we will
07:12continue to
07:13be your voice we will not stop and we will make sure that everyone knows that we want the united
07:19states
07:19in israel to finish the job we will make sure that the islamic regime is destroyed and when the islamic
07:25regime is is destroyed that will be the moment that iranians under the leadership of his royal
07:31highness rizal pahlavi will go out to reclaim the country and free iran
07:37mr marif i have to understand this uh back in the days iran and israel shared a very positive
07:45relationship yes so in your opinion does this operation has the possibility of restoring the kind
07:52of relationship it shared back in the days uh so to say from uh cyprus the great uh so is
07:59there a
07:59possibility 100 in fact uh in fact that is uh one of the reasons why israel is helping us right
08:07now
08:07because this uh alliance and friendship between iranians and israelis goes back thousands of years
08:14well before islam was invented and prior to 1979 iran and israel were very very close allies it was
08:22only when the islamic regime occupied iran and they brought with them their seventh century jihadi
08:28ideology that's when they started chanting you know death to america death to israel but the reality is
08:34that we iranians and and israelis we have been close friends and allies for three thousand years
08:39and you know 47 years of islamic occupation cannot erase that and israelis already know that we iranians
08:47we're so grateful to them and prime minister netanyahu is actually more popular in iran right
08:55now than he probably is in israel so uh yes absolutely one of the first things that we plan
09:01on doing under our transitional government under the leadership of rizal palavi is to uh once again
09:08formally recognize the state of israel and uh to to re-establish and normalize uh that alliance that we had
09:15with israel uh for you if uh moving forward if uh for you someone as an iranian canadian a lawmaker
09:23uh do you think is it time for canada to support the regime change there in iran or for that
09:30matter
09:30should canada uh help and support or also at the same time recognize the democratic iranian government
09:39if so to say well yes absolutely i i think i think uh the government of canada should absolutely call
09:45for regime change uh and i think uh the government of canada should in fact recognize his royal highness
09:51as the leader of iran's transitional government uh i've actually submitted a petition to the canadian
09:56parliament uh asking the canadian government to do exactly that now whether or not uh mark carney and
10:02the liberal government are going to do that is something else entirely unfortunately the current
10:07canadian government they seem to be more interested in uh in in catering to the to islamist needs than
10:14they are to standing for what's right and that's very shameful very very shameful of of the canadian
10:20liberal government for not taking um a strong unequivocal stance against islamic terrorism and we
10:28as iranian canadians we will not forget this betrayal miss gamari um as i understood your whole
10:35perspective behind uh how canada should uh come forward and support iran at this hour um diaspora
10:45at the very moment at the very same time plays a huge huge role so do you think diaspora should
10:52help
10:52build iran with all that is happening there at this very moment given the current situation that
10:59there is uh what kind of a role should diaspora play at this point i mean i i i can't
11:06i can't
11:07say what sort of role diaspora should or should not play should not play but what i can tell you
11:13is
11:14that the vast majority of iranians who escaped iran who escaped occupied iran did so because they did not
11:21want to live under an islamist regime now many of us have gained a lot of experience in various
11:27countries including canada so i'm not here to say what diaspora iranians should do however what i can
11:35tell you is what i've heard from a lot of iranians including iranian canadians is that as soon as iran
11:41is
11:41free many of them do actually want to go back and they want to help rebuild the country so one
11:49of the
11:49things i that i expect to see not just in canada but around the world is as soon as iran
11:55is free
11:55we're actually going to see one of the biggest um mass re-immigrations back to iran from the iranian
12:04diaspora around the world because many of us are very excited and looking forward to using the skills
12:11that we have gained uh in other countries to go back and help rebuild our country
12:17um miss gamari you have been a very vocal human rights advocate uh when such a situation arises
12:26when countries are involved in conflict at such a stage um the humanitarian impact increases a lot
12:34what are your concerns around the civilian debts or the humanitarian impact in this case when it comes
12:43so for the last 47 years the terrorist islamic republic has been murdering iranians in the name
12:49of allah and islam and jihad and muhammad um without any consequence so the islamic regime has the blood
12:56of millions of iranians on their hands and they have brutally uh murdered us they have raped us they have
13:03tortured us uh just you know a few days ago a story came out about how the islamic regime
13:09um they they arrested and raped two iranian nurses just because they were treating uh injured iranian
13:18protesters just two months ago just two months ago the islamic regime mass slaughtered almost 90 000
13:27innocent unarmed iranians just because they wanted freedom so one of the things that we iranians have
13:33said and one of the main messages that we're getting from iranians and occupied iran is that
13:38what is happening right now this is all at the hands of the islamic republic every single innocent
13:46life lost is at the hands of the islamic republic because they refuse to surrender they refuse to back
13:53down when they know that iranians don't want them however what i can say is that even though every
14:01single innocent life lost is a tragedy what's really frightening is that the current amount of uh
14:10innocent civilian lives lost in this conflict is less than a thousand probably somewhere between you
14:20know less than 500 even however two months ago the islamic regime murdered 90 000 iranians
14:29so right now this conflict iranians are actually safer when the islamic regime is being attacked
14:38by the united states in israel than than when it's not because the biggest the biggest murderer of
14:45iranians is the islamic regime and that's why iranians are are saying that they want this conflict because
14:52this is the only way this is the only way that we can uh liberate ourselves from this cancer that
14:58has
14:58occupied our country for the last 47 years and every single innocent life lost we're only blaming
15:05khamenei and the islamic dictatorship because they are the ones who have been murdering us and oppressing
15:10us for the last 47 years and we are very grateful to the united states and israel for for coming
15:16to iran
15:17to liberate us um this is my last question to you now um any circle back today's entire interview you
15:27did mention about reza pelavi twice now we look at the future of the iran post the regime fall uh
15:35what
15:36kind of a role do you see reza pelavi playing for a democratic iran so he has already stepped in
15:44as
15:45transitional leader that's at the call of the iranian people so all the iranians who went out two
15:50months ago and you know 90 000 iranians lost their lives because they were chanting javid shah
15:56which means long live the king they were also chanting which means this is a final battle
16:03pahlavi will return so the iranian people have already voted with their blood and voted with their
16:10lives for who they want but i want to make something very clear his royal highness reza pahlavi he's not
16:16coming back as the shah of iran he's coming back as the transitional leader why because we trust him
16:22he is the only person that we iranians trust to transition iran from an islamic dictatorship into
16:30a secular democratic society now what sort of secular democratic society that will be
16:37that's up to the iranian people in a national referendum so whether or not iranians choose to
16:42have a constitutional monarchy like england for example or whether iranians want to have a republic
16:50like the united states that will be up to the iranian people to decide and then based on that
16:56national referendum we will then move forward with writing and establishing a constitution but one of
17:03the things that we are committed to is a democratic state uh with you know separation of religion and
17:10and government we want to respect our territorial integrity and of course we have a commitment to
17:17maintaining human rights thank you so much mr marife insights insights uh were extremely extremely
17:26powerful the perspectives of powerful um is it safe to say that and um i'm grateful for your unwavering
17:34hope of for iran thank you so much for speaking to us exclusively thank you so much for having me
17:40on it
17:40thank you so much for having me on it it was an honor to be here
