00:02Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this Let's Play Divinity Original Sins Alpha version.
00:08I am here trying to figure out whether or not Divinity Original Sins Alpha build is now ready for distribution
00:14to our Kickstarter backers.
00:15And so I'm going to have a look at all of the features and functionalities of the game,
00:19try to figure out if there's any critical bug in there or any functionality missing,
00:23which might make it impossible for people to play or incomprehensible for them.
00:28So join me on my crusade in trying to figure out is Alpha version 1, 4, 1, 3, 9, 7,
00:352, 3 the version or not.
00:38Okay, in case you're not familiar with Divinity Original Sin, it's a top-down RPG which you can play in
00:44single and in multiplayer,
00:46which is based on the Divinity series, which is the series that Larian series has been making for quite some
00:52time.
00:53And it takes place in Rivellum, which is the World of Divinity, and we are two Source Hunters, and Source
00:59Hunters are Dudes and Judettes,
01:02who go and kill people who use Source Magic or at least arrest them.
01:07And so we've been called to the city of Sisiel, which is very close by, with the mission of investigating
01:13a murder which has happened recently,
01:14and that murder was done using Source Magic. So that's why we're here, because we are Source Hunters.
01:20The captain told us, let's land on the beach, because there seems to be some trouble in the harbor.
01:25And we're not very close from the harbor, and as a matter of fact, we'll be walking there.
01:28So, you'll be seeing a lot of placeholders still, this is the pink stuff that you're seeing, and occasionally also
01:34the question mark,
01:35and of course you will be seeing all kinds of UI deficiencies, and you might be seeing some bugs and
01:41some missing things,
01:42but that's normal, it is an alpha version, alright, so we haven't finished our job yet,
01:46we just think that it might be ready enough for people to play the alpha version.
01:50Alright, anyway, I won't stop talking, but I'll start with my investigation of the version to see whether or not
01:57it's ready.
01:59Okay, let's see if the book thing still works.
02:01Okay, so I found a book here on the floor, and that book tells me that this man who is
02:06lying here,
02:07so that's this guy here, he believed a couple of lying statues, he jumped off a cliff as a result
02:13of that,
02:14and, well, the statues clearly were lying, and so we can have a conversation about that, me and my partner,
02:21and since my AI is set to I roleplay both characters, I will be able to have conversations with myself,
02:27and if this would be cooperative multiplayer, obviously I would be having conversations with somebody else.
02:31So Scarlet, which is the girl, says that, well, you know what, the man jumped off a cliff because he
02:37believes some statues,
02:38well, that's okay, because occasionally you need to do a leap of faith.
02:43I myself might have done the same, so Roderick says, no, that's what Roderick said, and so now Scarlet can
02:53answer,
02:53true enough, or, well, no, I don't agree with that, and what happens is we each get a trait, romantic
03:01and pragmatic,
03:01and that should have added some traits here, and it did indeed, romance increases luck,
03:08so I have an increase in my luck ability, and I should be able to see that in there, if
03:14I could remember where luck is located,
03:16I think it's here, lucky charm, and my lucky charm indeed went up, so that's quite okay.
03:20Okay, let's see if the item movement is working, so if I drag an item, I can throw it away,
03:25that seems to be working,
03:28and can I drag items on one another, let's find out, that also seems to be working, can I drag
03:34two items together, yes,
03:36I can't reach, I can't put them that far anymore, because they're heavier, can I rotate them, yes, I can,
03:42okay, seems to be working, can I actually drag the lower item away, that function doesn't seem to be working
03:50yet,
03:50what happens if I shoot the lower item, let's see, I shoot it, and indeed it drops down, so gravity
03:58is working also,
03:59let's shoot the other one, to see if something's inside of it, it is not, oh, actually there were 9
04:05inch nails there,
04:06and the golden cup and a golden spoon, so we're going to pick up the 9 inch nails, and progress,
04:11I see a little red guys on my minimap, which is good, because minimap is only working like for a
04:15week,
04:16and I also have a quest lock, which is telling me,
04:20and indeed we've been sent to Psyseal to investigate the murder of counselor Jake,
04:24and that the wizard R who will meet us in the harbor to elaborate,
04:28and then we got a little thing about the talking statues, does the automap work, it looks to be functional,
04:35okay, I can't place markers yet, I think, but that's going to come, so that looks rather okay,
04:42let's continue, we are about to be attacked by menacing crabs, can I zoom in on them, yes I can,
04:48oh he looks so cute,
04:49pretty big crab, pretty big crab, seems to be the boss crab, and he brought his little minion crabs with
04:55him,
04:56my action points are working, so let's see what I can do, I'm going to try to teleport pretty big
05:02crab closer to me,
05:04but I don't get an indication that it's too far, which is something missing, so people will be confused by
05:09that,
05:09we should add that, I'm going to try it again, and indeed now I can actually teleport pretty big crab

06:13and let's try if the multi-shot works on one crab, which is probably going to be overkill, but, well,

06:20okay, and I don't have any action points left, so end turn, and let's do something really stupid, but still
06:27to try it out,
06:28can I electrify the surface in which I'm standing, I can, can I rotate the camera, I can,
06:35and crabs don't seem to be very happy about that electrification, as a matter of fact, I killed them, which
06:40is excellent,
06:41all right, good, now, my AI of this guy, normally he should avoid surfaces, but he's not,
06:47at least if his intelligence is high enough, which I assume it is, well, actually, my intelligence is 8,
06:55but his intelligence is 5, so, well, that's not going to do the trick, okay, so let's see what happens

07:04now, in the meantime, they're actually trying to figure out who is going to play against Belgium in the World
07:09Championship in Brazil soon,

11:22it's a lot of fun, this way, okay, I did an incredibly stupid move here,
11:26my splitting arrows didn't even reach these guys, so I'm going to get a little bit closer,
11:30and see how the fight is going to unroll, skip my turn, see what goes on there,
